Not off the top of my head, but Ive just had a quick snoop around the interwebz... they mark the 15th anniversary of Begin, Eisho translates to 'chant' they're 50/50 mix and dyed with indigo from Ryuku, the Eisho pair celebrate the Yaeyama Islands which are marked by the character on the patch the other character refers to the Sanshin (musical instrument)
...there are other pairs in the Begin 15th anniversary line up, a 'Masura' pair (50/50) for instance which translates to 'A Good Destiny'
..both pairs have the same '15th Anniversary' red tab sewn inside the waistband.
my pair doesnt have the 15th anniversay patch sewn in the waist but that 15th anniversary is pretty cool. first time i've seen it

If anyone has anything to unload or comes across anything in their travels both real and digital, please hit me up.
Never really post but active reader and have always appreciated everyone's insight.
Thx
too bad you werent looking for a 31.

Good finds! The lot 200 (on the left) are a really neat pair. The warp yarns are hand-dyed using polygonum tinctorium—classic Japanese plant indigo—as referenced by the stamp on the pocket bag. As far as I can tell, that makes these the most similar, out of Sugar Cane's natural-dyed line, to the Ai lines from other companies like PBJ and Samurai. For whatever reason, though—as you can already tell on that pair—they do seem to fade significantly with wear, to a really nice lighter greenish blue. They're not related to the Hawaii. I should wear my pair more; the fabric's nice and the cut's one of my favorites.
@MileHighEvertonian, that's no coincidence: the pair on the right are the natural-dyed version of the Okinawa (lot 300 vs. lot 301 for the synthetic-dyed pair). Both are woven left-handed, and the dyeing seems to be pretty similar besides the source of the indigo.
Yea the color reminded me of the natural indigo Edo Ai i use to have but sold mainly because they were almost too aqua in color. these are less green and personally more likly to be worn. the denim is also not as streaky and uneven as the Edo Ai. I remember both patches from years ago so knew they were both the Natural Indigo versions but couldnt remember what model each were variations of.

^Nice! Great pockets on those leepros...looks a lot like oki denim.
i believe both are 50/50. left pair is more worn than the right. right feels stiff almost deadstock.
currently soaking them both. hoping for no shrinking from the right and more shrinking from the left... fingers crossed.

If I remember well, the warp is nando and the weft threads are dyed in sumi ink.
any pics of your pair? curious how they fade. they do feel pretty lightweight so i'm still not 100% sure what they are but either i need to get them hemmed and possibly tapers a little since they are a little loose for my liking.

I emailed 45rpm Japan yesterday and they said the following.
Thank you for your message.
I think that this denim is probably "Suminando × TOP Sorahiko".
(墨納戸×トップ空比古)
The product number is 4096009.not sure what the top sorahiko model was but I trust Lance and the pics he provided along with my comparison. Just interesting to see their opinion of the photos I sent them.
Edit - 45rpm NY said that they are nando nando.

the shade is the same. the selvedge looks the same the only thing that is off is when i was looking at the selvedge, the denim is a different shade. its almost a grey tint compared to the scrap from 10 years ago.
either way im happy with the purchase. cut is a little looser than i would like but I just need to get them hemmed and i think i can work with it (glad 45rpm does free hemming)

After checking the leather patch, somewhat richer/softer indigo blue color and grayish reclining R on the back pocket, I believe that yours are Nandos. Also, the cotton is different from typical jeans denim; softer to the touch. I am somewhat hesitant, though, because your inside photos look grayish although it may just be the light. I have included 2 shots of my worn/washed pair for you to compare. At any rate, nice pickup!
appreciate the info. the denim is softer than i expected for sorahiko so that lead me to think nando too.
inside pockets are white.
I forgot i have some denim scraps from my nandos from way back in the day when i hemmed them that i can compare to when i get home.
love the evo on your paid. any full pics?

If it’s priced right and the measurements work, why not?

this pair has stayed on my whish list ever since - amazing denim and details - seriously doubt that I could make them work for me, though...
good luck hunting!
I fet that. It’s such a loose fit it makes me question spending the money on them. The 0500 is still my favorite cut by far

Thanks @mpukas so if I’m a 31 and these are a 33 then I should be fine after washing and wearing. I was concerned they would be too big in the waist. Wish they were the 5000 cut since I like that better than the 510 but maybe if I can negotate the price it will be worth the gamble. Thanks for the detailed info. Any pics of yours worn recently? Don’t check the forums often unless I have questions so if you have posted them before I haven’t taken the time to look

I've decided to sell my S510OG 16oz AK 16th Anniversary, size 32. The waist seems to run small in this lot, and after shrinkage it will be too small for me.
Waist measures: 32.0
See clicky in my signature.
@mpukas Im looking at getting a pair of these. did they measure tag size raw? the pair that im looking at is probably tagged 2 sizes too big (tag 33 vs. my actual 31 waist) just not sure if this is going to be too big. i think theres some shrinkage left in them but wont know until i get them.
anyone else have any input on this model? the 510 cut isnt ideal for me but that denim is just so nice looking
