Thanks Taichi, now it makes more sense, at least to me.

What would the waist measure on a size 34 and 36 using your method?
1 -
They seem good for Hobbit feet.

Taichi, could you please measure the post wash waist of other sizes too using your method?
I think that would give some clarification.

I have this sad feeling i will not be able to make these work for me.
The measurements are so far off those from the D00XX, when i buy the waist size i need after washing i will be left with an enormous hip, thigh, knee and leg opening.
and if i want a jean that fits good in the legs the waist will end up around 8 cm's too small for me so i can forget about buttoning these up... ever.

Wow that's small, i'm a little confused about the sizing now...
According to this chart i'd need a size 38, since i need a waist of 88-89 cm. post soak.
Taichi-san, i wear a size 34 in the D66, do you reckon i'd really need a 38 in these?

IE, great decision to get a pair of those Old Joes, truly lovely boots.
Really curious on the evo of these.
So you managed to track down a pair, what size did you end up getting?

^ lol, that's why we have to do our own repairs ;-)
have to admit it can be a costly hobby at times.

Very nice pair and fit Aho, too bad about the fadings that happened during the wash, but i'm sure with time and wear all will become unnoticeable.
Seems like you either have a pretty aggressive machine or this particular dye is more prone to fade with agitation, i'm blessed to never had this happen to me.

I do like the Warehouse version, they also produce a jacket, which might be easier to pull off.
Don't think you'll find a stockist of these stateside, but Warehouse does ship international.

You've really been on a roll lately Capsicum, i thought the Kyoto ed. was extinct and than you turn up with a pair.
Those have a lovely shade of blue, pretty similar to my Devi's D66 i think.
I think when Denime was taken over they ceased production of the Kyoto and Tokyo ed. since they started using new denim for all they're models.

Great fit on your Nylon's Capsicum, to me the fit looks correct for a '44.
The '44 cut is not as wide a most imagine it to be, i think '50s cut Levi's were baggier, imo it's one of the most desireable cuts of the lot.
Good pick up Bielby, those Porky's 66 have been on my mind for some years now, ever since i saw a beautiful faded pair in the Lightning DIM.
Cool bag they came in btw.
Pleaseee do post some fit pics when you get round to it.

I agree with garden gnome, the S5000 fit is perfect as it is, plus it would be somewhat of a shame to alter a pair that unique.
