  1. I saw some Align pants from FW18 in store last week and they have this great black / grey melange color (not sure it it the one in the pic though as it is pretty dark). Anyway, probably the coolest fabric I have seen from Veilance. Shame that I really can't get over the lack of visible back pocket on the Align otherwise, I would have copped 100%.

Are the Cargo LT and Apparat shorts the same cut and fabric (other then the pockets)?

No, the Cargo LT are slightly wider and longer than the Apparat even though they look to be more of less the same from Veilance stock pics. The fabric is the same.

@Kasper  I normally go to the store in Kits just because its closer to me. They carry most Veilance, but I have never seen it on sale or anything. The factory store only has lower prices for one-offs (in which case, they would still be very expensive). If your staying in Vancouver proper, and were looking for a specific piece, I would just call ahead to either. If you're just planning on browsing, I'd go to whichever is closer.

Thanks, I ended up going and picked up some liminal pants and a black shirt, both pretty dope and about 40% off so very happy. they do have a pretty good selection, I was kinda surprised at the size of the veilance section (although it's mostly of less popular items and samples).

  4. There's always discussion about cheap cobra belts, just saw these on massdrop so figured it might interest some. at $42, it's a pretty good deal

on an unrelated topic, I want to get a new pair of home chill-out / sweat pants (ie. something that I only wear at home or to walk the dog / go to the corner store). I have a pair of baggy RO pants I got at a sample sale that I love, but apparently I've worn them out and I really need a new pair... ACG tech fleece pants from this season sell for a huge discount on ebay, but I am a bit worried about how comfortable they look more like a normal pant (cut, lack of elastic waistband) than a sweat pant. What's the consensus on those? Are they comfortable enough? Should I just pay more and get last year's? Any other recommendation?

  5. I don't disagree with what you guys are saying, but I feel that the way Grailed works (or the way people are using it) is a huge part of the problem. Having sold on few things on there, the amount of low balling that goes on is beyond frustrating so I think it forces people to list thing much higher than they are expecting to sell at just to drive away the lowballers. We all know the average transaction is done at a significant discount to the listed price. Ultimately, a bit more transparency on actual transacted prices would be a really nice addition. I know it's harder to do for clothes than for sneakers, but I really like what StockX has done, ultimately it helps goods trade at their fundamental value.

  6. I don't necessarily have a problem with Veilance products being made in China as long as quality is maintained, but I would expect prices to come back down to reflect the much lower labor costs. Prices have almost doubled over the past 4-5 years and I think people will have an issue paying $2,000 for a made in China jacket....

  7. I am somewhat of a similar size as you (maybe a tad smaller like 39-40 chest and 33-34 waist) and I take a 3 or 4 depending on the piece and fit. Sizing can be a bit odd, there can be quite a jump between size 3 and 4 (where a 3 would fit like a M and a 4 like a XL) and the pants will almost certainly be too short if you are above 5'9. In any case, quite a few stores in NYC carry it and pretty much all online retailers have measurements so you should be fine.

  8. The topic of belts seems to come up every couple months. While the look of cobra belt / buckle complement the p10 perfectly, they are not the most comfortable of belt as the buckle tend to dig into one's belly when sitting. I got a belt from @danii and I am a HUGE fan, the side tightening works perfectly and is so much more comfortable than a huge front buckle (plus I really like the look).

Not sure how recent this is but just noticed that Nike's Canadian site now has Nikelab and the ACG collection. No Alpine Jackets left but looked like plenty of other stuff including the pants. Hope that helps any other Canadians who have trouble tracking the stuff down.

Thanks, the CAD pricing is actually very good, C$240 for the cargo vs. US$220.

Been wearing my ACG cargo for a month now and they have become my favorite pair of pants. They are cut so much better than the p10, particularly in the seat area where the p10 have way, way too much fabric and don't provide a very flattering fit.

  10. Hey Kasper — Last season I bought the Cargos in M and L. They run on the larger/roomer side, though it seems like the cut has changed for this season's cargos, so the jury is out.

You definitely want to go with a size M. Far as length goes, I'm 5'11" and find that the cargo inseam is perfect.

The ACG cargos are amazing and I actually prefer them to my Acronyms. Wore them so much over the past year they have a gained a patina. They could ask for $300 and I wouldn't even be mad.

Thanks, I ordered Medium so really happy to hear!!! Can't wait to get them

  11. Super disappointed that none of the new ACG pants have belt loops, deal breaker for sure.

what's the consensus on sizing, simliar to ACR (ie. you choose based on length, not waist size?). Judging by the pictures, the pants seem very short. I know models tend to be really tall, but the Nike sizing guide is useless so really hard to judge.

I have been looking for slim-fit cargo for a bit and the ACG khaki cargo are pretty much what I'm looking for, except for the lack of belt loop (could do without the branding on the pocket too, but not a deal breaker). I'm sort of a 32ish waist so while I can fit into Acronym Medium pants, the length is a bit short (I'm 6') so I go with Large instead and use a belt. Anyway, given the lack of belt loop on these, trying to figure out whether I should bother getting a pair tomorrow and if so, what size so any advice appreciated

  12. I've used a fabric marker for bleach spots on cotton before, works fine but won't ever perfectly match: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0026Y6X5E?psc=1&smid=A2P5I4NW0QQAX1

try india ink, made the bleach spot on my p20's almost invisible after dye seemed to do next to nothing. go to a local art shop and they'd probably have some

Thanks guys. Wrote to Stotz and that's what they recommended doing as well (ie. using a black marker or black ink).

  13. Not sure how I managed to do, but I bleached a dime-size spot on my p10-s (close to the knee). Since etaproof is cotton, I figure I should be able to dye, but I am a total noob when it comes to this. Do any of you has ever dyed etaproof or has any advice as to which dye to use, how to do it, etc

    thanks in advance.
