  1. p24A-S are so dope, but I wish they were slimmer. I have a very similar frame as Errolson and the M are quite big on him so not sure I can pull them off.

  2. Amazon has a cobra belt for ~$60 and a quick google search will reveal quite a few options in the ~$60-75 range. I have not handled personally, but I assume you get what you pay for. There was some discussion a little while back about cheaper cobra betls and the consensus seemed to be that while they more of less all use the same buckle, there are huge differences in the webbing and built quality.

  3. 6'07! 184cm

So 184cm for 80kg. Still Large so? Some people have medium for 175cm

^^^ i'd agree with that ^^^ im 5'10" 185lbs and wear a 40R suit (50 EU) and feel like there's way more than enough room in the chest with a medium

I am of a similar built 183cm / 6' 175lbs / 50 EU and Medium is generally roomy and allow for layering for Canadian winter and I can do small (although it might be a bit tight if I want to proper layer). I know it's not the exact same jacket, but I got a J27-GT in Large last summer and I was swimming in it so would advise to take a Medium

  4. Would it work if I made two seperate purchases so that the both order will be less than $800? Buy the 3a 3ts and then buy the two attachments in another order? I would have to pay shipping twice which I am not sure if it would be cheaper than paying the import tax/duty fees?

Let me know what you guys think!

I am not an expert, but pretty sure duty is assessed on a per package basis so you should be fine. I've done it before and was fine. Duty on clothes is ~9% so even though ACR charges €39 for shipping, it should come out cheaper.

  5. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you should be in the clear if you're ordering the 3ts. Any international orders from the US under $800 are exempt from duties (I believe this changed earlier this year).

I'm not sure if Acronym deducts VAT for US customers, but even if they don't, the total on the 3ts after shipping comes out to under $700 - so you wouldn't face any fees/duties.

(as a side note - does anyone know if Acronym deducts VAT for US customers?)

This is correct, duty is only collected on items priced $800+ and Acronym does deduct VAT for non-EU customers. Their shipping charges are kind of silly though so if you can, order from firmament (which offer free shipping) or another EU or UK site (and I know it's not always possible).

VAT is sales taxes, in Europe, it's included into the advertised price rather than being added like it's the case in North America

talking of fees, duties, and taxes. for the canadian fellows here I've heard some who live near the border with the us have their shipments delivered to an address just over the border, once delivery has been made just drive down and collect, if the item is under US$800 there'll be no fees. might be something to think about with the impending drop from acronym in a couple of months ;)

Lots of people I know do that, rent a PO box right across the border with a bunch of ppl. Or get someone to proxy for you, it's not hard to find. Canadian duties are ridiculous

  6. Anybody have any updated info about Montreal?

New Sufu-Approved places of any kind?

Anything in particular you're looking for? a lot of the stuff in the thread (and there's another Montreal thread somewhere) is still mostly up-to-date despite being a little old.

  7. Really wanted some primeknit NMD and spent over an hour proving to Adidas I wasn't a robot while being unable to load the stupid shoes to my cart. Of course they ended selling out. Worst technology ever.

  8. The Met rooftop has IMO the best view in NYC. Only open on friday and staturday though and closes early. Otherwise there's the Empire Hotel in the UWS, although like most NYC rooftop, it's kind of expensive and douchy. On 57th and technically in Midtown, but I really like the Roof at the Viceroy. It's in a fancy hotel, but it's on the smaller side and doesn't have as bad as a showoff vibe like similar rooftops. Much better options if you're willing to go further down (doesn't have to be all the way downtown, in Midtown, I really like the Refinery Hotel and Pod 39 is cool too)

  9. Do you guys know what's the likelihood of a restock in the New Way Longs over the next month or so? I thought they only got a single shipment per year for shorts (and I'll admit I am not the most knowledgeable about Outlier so could very well be wrong anyway), but they re-upped the New Way yesterday so maybe there's hope. Spring was so cold here so I slept on shorts and the there's only black left in size 33.....

  10. fair enough. but for the price they are selling, I assume they are terrible fakes and you'd know right away if you ended with a pair on the secondary market.

  11. Trouble is, they're going for pretty much the same price as authentic ones on eBay now. I was just wondering if there was a detail you could spot in the pics that would identify a fake pair.

they use stock pics / pics from the internet so I doubt you'd be able to see anything from the photos. However, I cannot understand how can someone in good conscience order anything from that site and not expect fakes (not to mention the price as it already been mentioned). The website is just so awful, it's so obvious it's all fake.

Edit: if it wasn't clear enough that it's all fake, they sell Yeezy for $85.88 and they have them in all sizes....

  12. I ended up caving in and buying a SR14-BR and I can echo the comments of a few pages back about the tight neck hole. I wanted a slightly oversized fit so ended up getting a L and there was definitely some threads snapping the first couple times I put it on / took it off. Similarly, the band at the bottom of the sweater is so tight, it keeps sliding up and makes me look like a muffin top lol. It'll be fine with some wear of course though.

  13. Lol. Nonsense.

Everything goes through Customs and the import duties are assessed on the value of the package, regardless of the shipping method.

Dude, less than 1% of package shipped through regular post are checked by custom (I have this info from a USPS executives). Private carriers make sure to hit you with appropriate duties because it allows them to charge an admin fee. USPS doesn't even anywhere near the resources necessary to assess every packages and it is widely known that the chances of getting hit are beyond slim.

  14. Firmament might put the full value, but they can ship with regular post if you ask and USPS never ever charges duty. I have ordered quite a few things from them and have never been hit. From a US perspective, the biggest factor in determining whether duty will be assessed is the shipping method. Regular post / EMS will almost never incur duty while private carriers always will. The new $800 duty free limit is pretty awesome, although unfortunately still too low for a lot of ACR pieces.

  15. anyone have any advice on what's the safest / comfortable way to do a trade with a person on the internet...?  I'm looking to trade a size P10's for a bigger size but we're unable to meet up.  never done a trade before.  anyone have experience and can offer suggestions...?

are you willing to pay for insurance? if yes, you structure it as 2 transactions (you buying from other, other buying from you) with funds going both ways through paypal (up to you to determine the amount). That way, you get paypal buyer protection in case the trade falls through. obviously, it cost you paypal fees.

  16. while we're on the topic i just got a sweater from norse store and checking online they seem notorious for custom fees from using fedex and marking the item at full value.

checking the label and the package was marked as $192.00 value and described as a "mens hoodie 100% cotton."

from what i know there's a chance i won't get hit with customs because the item is valued under $200 but i am never sure with fedex. what do you guys think?

I ordered a Herno Laminar jacket from them earlier this fall. They sent the wrong jacket so I was thinking it will be a mess to sort this out with Fedex, but never received any bill (they did mark down the value quite a bit though). Unfortunately, when they sent the actually jacket I bought, they marked full value and of course, I got a Fedex bill 2-3 weeks after I got the jacket. I was only charged ~9% though

  17. I have been wanting to get a proper system for a while and got a pretty good Marantz receiver & some really good speakers over the holiday so I was planning on getting a turntable to this week-end. I was pretty set on on Pro-Ject Debut Carbon, but seeing that Technics is re-releasing the SL 1200, I am really tempted to get a used turntable now and wait for the new SL 1200 to be released at the end of the year. Would that make sense?

I am planning to use the turntable for casual use and while I DJ'ed a tiny bit when I was younger and have been telling myself I would get back into for 10+ years, I think the chance of actually doing it are pretty slim so I am mainly leaning toward the SL 1200 for sentimental / aesthetic reasons (third life crisis concept)

  18. anyone has any recommendation for a good face moisturizer with SPF? got this Malin+Goetz recently and it's really heavy and greasy and feels much more like a (cheap) sunscreen than a moisturizer with SPF (TBH, I have gotten a few M+G products recently and have been somewhat underwhelmed given the price point). I am looking more for a moisturizer that has some protection for light sun exposure (ie. walking to and from the office) as I will always use menscience's sunscreen when I am outside for a while (which TBH, is way lighter and applies much better than the M+G I got anyway).

doing a bit of research, it seems like this Jack Black or MDSolarSciences could work, but ideally, I would want something that falls in between those 2 in terms of quality / price point.
