I'd love to see how my co-workers in my cubicle-esque office setting would react if I walked in with these babies.

I know the US evisu site was selling blank pocket for a while... I'd like to know when the NYC flagship is actually going to open. I'd love to handle the newer stuff in person.

to keep maximum stiffness after soaking or washing, you can hang dry. using a dryer will soften up the jeans a bit.

These are supposedly LVC BIG E 1955 501XX. Can anyone verify?
I'm a little confused by this pair... usually the model number on the garment tag indicates what year it's a repro of, i.e. 47501 or 55501
but most of the other details seem ok. any bigger LVC heads wanna weigh in?

for those of you with access to a Japanese Book Store:
This month's issue of lightning has a long feature on repro sweats and their different features. Looked fantastic... may pick it up later today

Have you tried Self Edge in SF? You always have the option to go directly through Samurai http://www.samurai-j.com/samurai/samurai_main.html and make the argument that nobody in teh US has them in size 30, and if they say no get a proxy to order them for you. Might even end up cheaper even with the 10-15% proxy fee.
Selfedge doesn't sell Samurai... and I believe Samurai stopped selling overseas through their site. May have to be proxy.

I ended up having a pretty good time, though I thought they lost steam after the first half or so... Phantom popped up everywhere (which was good and bad) DVNO was the highlight of the show for me

just noticed this (don't if it's old news)
5ep just came out with the resin lowdown boot in non-selvedge:
http://www.oaknyc.com/men/shop-by-brand/5ep/5ep-non-selvedge
I'm guessing the denim is nearly identical to the selvedge version, but the fact that it's not selvedge means the price can drop (quite a bit in this case). It's a pretty good price point, too... maybe I will check it out when money magically floats into my pocket one of these days

I like how the stuff I find on the 'Bay fits me from YSL... presumably since it can be had for so cheap, it's stuff from this period in the brand's history and hence "undesirable" by afficianados.
However, I find that they cut a great, slimmer fitting shirt (I'm wearing a YSL pinstripe button down right now and I've been dying to find another on the 'Bay).

I know I would.
And re: the looking down at the ground... how many of our WAYWT'ers are looking down at the ground? If you think about it, their job is pretty much just WAYWT...
once again, envious.

I find this picture quite disturbing…
Just saw this pic... Superdenim is going to become like this soon, I bet. Only a matter of time

The dude in the first pic has nice duckdiggers...
and I liked the dude in the third pic better when he had cuts in his shaved head.
I spend too much time on Hinoya.

I've noticed on my pair, like yours, that the thigh fades come much slower than the rest of the jean, which is not the case in other jeans that I've had.
Might wanna reinforce that crotch, looks like you're heading for a blowout soon... other than that, real pretty. I think they'll wash out to a nice blue.
