Good, you're a poor troll. And yes, I've frequented it somewhat.

this is some seriously awful high school shit. keep this stuff to your home room period or whatever.

Petaluma is known for handmade amplifiers?

So, is any of this stuff actually going to be for sale? Or what? I'm confused. I'm guessing the footwear, maybe some pants and jackets, but I'm assuming the Warcraft cosplay pieces won't be available for general sale...

That's way too close to be coincidence. God bless Galliano.
0 -
hahahaha, Galliano himself is COMPLETELY pulling a Blue Steel in that picture. I wonder if that's intentional.

that's extremely cool.

Me too. Sure it's somewhat derivative, and definitely borrowing some ideas from other designers, but it is a very cohesive collection, as you said, and a lot of the outfits just plain look great. I'm surprised how far JL has come from the logo belts of yore.....Say what you will about this past collections, but I honestly really like this collection. Although its a mash of YY, Ann D., Costume National, etc. it feels more cohesive compared to Neil Barrett and his play with volume both in knits and pants is refreshing. I don't think J. Lindenberg is out to change the world and make a bold statement but rather aims to get away from the staid stereotype from his logoed Diesel days. I look forward to seeing the pieces up close.0 -
I honestly do not see the appeal, except for a few of the outerwear pieces. None of the outfits look as interestingly put together as past Ann stuff. In addition, those leather boots are terrible-- they look like galoshes.

Like these?
Very close, but I prefer to have them without the "mitten flap" thing.

I seriously fucking love these outfits.

I want the high fashion black metal armlets, but the rest of the stuff is pretty disappointing.

Does anyone know anywhere online to purchase fingerless gloves (ideally in black and white... do white fingerless gloves even exist)?

Keep the circlejerk shit out of this thread.

ah, the Venga Boys... that's too terrible even for me (unless it's mixed into a Knifehandchop song)...

I wish I could've lived in the UK (and been like ten years older) in '93, '94, '95... ahh...
although my brain would probably be fried from drugs by now.

those cable knit sweaters are the most unbelievable sweaters I've ever laid eyes on. How much will those cost? I'm guessing they'll break the 4-digit mark.

i can't say i listen to a lot of "terrible" dance music, when i think of terrible dance music i think of like shitty 'dance' comps associated with the local 'dance' radio station which plays top 40 hits with shitty house beats...
Remember MTV "Party to Go" CDs??? I FUCKING LOVED those things when I was like, 10.
Actually, when I was even younger I loved this "Rave till Dawn" compilation tape that my sister bought. I started listening to it when I was 8 or 9. I couldn't get enough of it. It had Apotheosis, that "Jump" song on it, a bunch of other tracks on it. ah, the memories....

yeah, Beyer isn't really terrible at all. I just threw his name in because it happened to be playing while I was writing the thread.
thanks for the link! Gonna check it out.

I was considering posting this in superconfessional or titling the thread "shit that you should hate but you can't help but love anyway."
I LOVE terrible dance music. I fricking love it. It's sort of like my "comfort music." Listening to a good happy hardcore DJ mix ... makes me ... well, happy. The newest Ministry of Sound compilation is pretty much incredible (at least the first disc is). I love listening to club music, even sometimes taken out of the context of a club. And now I'm listening to Adam Beyer.
Please post your favorite so-bad-it's-good dance music in this thread, because I need more.

Ha, wearing suits with big clunky strappy boots is exactly what 28 year-old ex-goths wear when they're trying to look snazzy and subversive. And nine times out of ten it doesn't work at all (although I do like that runway pic).Something about the one element that makes the whole thing slightly off-kilter is very interesting to me.I actually think it's a LOT harder to pull off a mostly-clean outfit with one flashy piece. IMHO, it's a lot easier to look cohesive when wearing weird shit from head to toe. Of course, it can be done, and it does look good when you do it right...
sort of as an aside, I find it interesting / amusing just how "goth" a lot of designer fashion is. Now, if only we could get the hot goth girls to start spending $3500 on their outfits, goth clubs would be so much better.......

Hate the leggings, loving the muted-grey-goth-cowboy-ranchero aesthetic. Love the bolo ties.
Would love to wear this shit but you pretty much need a head-to-toe (ie off the runway) outfit for it to really work. Otherwise you'll just look like a dumbass.

my Newton 2's are starting to get pretty worn in. Lots of creasing. I actually prefer the look when they're clearly worn than when they're brand new.
I really like the Logans, but I'd like to try them on first. I can see myself paying for them, though.
