  1. fade to black announcing he quits SF at the start of the weekend then coming back the following monday like nothing happened is the new Larry David quitting his SNL job then coming back the following monday like nothing happened

ahaha at this point don't even bother with the 'welcome backs' or 'wtf are you doing?' i think i've gone off the deep end, so just ride with it =P

fade to black is the new boy who cried wolf

You've given me carte blanche to ban you whenever I want.

Every day you'll wonder... if I log onto supertalk today, will it load?

  2. Didn't see a dress shoe thread, so here's one

I'm looking for a pair of black dress shoes that could be dressed down as well. So, I'm looking at boots or so.

This one caught my eye, somewhat, but I can't really see dressing this up too well.

Do any members have any suggestions for something I could find somewhat easily or styles I should lean towards?

Hmm, I'm not a fan of biker-styled boots, but the sole on those is really ugly, imho. If you're looking for boots that can be dressed up, stick to boots/shoes with thin soles.

For shoes that are mainly casual but would look good dressed up, I like these MoMa shoes from Brownsfashion:

For shoes that are mainly dressy but could be casual, I like the "stalwart chelseas" (RM Williams, Charles Tyrwhitt) -- both of which can be purchased around $200 - $250 USD.

Carl's Jil Sander shoes are also really nice; there are some absolutely gorgeous Jil Sander slip-on shoes on Yoox that come in this hypnotic washed green leather.

NDC Made By Hand also makes nice dressy/casual shoes (check out the shoes available on aloharag.com ... beautiful!)

  3. I recently heard from a Finn that Hel-Looks is one photographer documenting a very specific subculture in Helsinki -- basically people who like to dress up in fucked up costumes. Apparently n ot everyone is a fucking freak in Helsinki, as a casual glance at Hel-Looks would make you believe.

  4. how do you "fold/wrap/whatever" a scarf like this?

    ...........

    REGARDING HOW TO TIE SHEMAGHS:

Ill post a pictorial later but this is the simplest way I can explain:

First, hold the shemagh in your hands so its one big square. Then fold it in half so it becomes one big triangle. Hold the triangle to your neck, with the point of the triangle pointing to the ground. Grab one of the ends in your hand, and wrap it around your neck, do the same with the other side, so they go around your neck. Now tuck the two ends under the pointy part.

If you dont get it, I'll post a pictorial later or tomm. morning.

  5. check out this pm andy sent me

    your a fag.. go sand

    paper ur genes

that's incredible - not only did he divide it into stanzas, as if it were poetry, the use of the homonym "jeans / genes" is amazing. A+
  6. I remember asking coldrice about the limited edition natural indigo Samurais he had for sale... and thinking how rare they were at the time. Man, how things have changed.

  7. dunaj -- amazing. God, I love that sweater. And I love how clunky the boots look in that pic.

verb -- girl you're kissing is mad hot and dude looks like Mos Def.

I had a fucking amazing outfit today but I didn't take a picture of it so I'm going to pull a Fuuma and just describe it:

    W&H tee + H&M cardigan

    H.Lang bomber jacket

    Vibskov scarf

    N.Collective cargo pants

    A.Bannister boots

i looked like i stepped from the pages of a Gibson novel or something -- too bad I'm lazy.
