  1. I got a pair of the SEXI26-ST as well. I'm really digging them but I feel the thighs might be a bit tight for a Straight Tapered.

Hoping wearing them will help soften up the denim and stretch them just a tiny bit to get them where I'd feel they are 100% perfect fit.

  2. I've been considering the 1110W as they seem the closest in measurements to my ancient Self Edge Sugar Cane Summer Okis that I have been wearing and repairing forever.  Being a bigger guy that needs some room in the thigh but still wants a hem at about 8" these seem my best option.

  3. I grabbed a pair of the Blue Owl "Gold Rush" Shadow Selvedge Jeans in the CT fit since I prefer lighter weigh denim and the color looked great. What I found surprising was the rear pocket size. Like a regular iPhone didnt fit.

I measured and the pockets are the same size as my GF's 77BSP fit. Not sure if it was just this run for Blue Owl or all the 3sixteen jeans share the same pocket size, mens and women's fit. Kinda bummed but I still like the denim and the fit.

Anybody here knows which mill weaves the standard 14.25oz 1947 denim? Nihon Menpu as well or do they just the more exotic fabrics?

Would be cool to see the 2021 cut in the lighter 12oz denim as well :)

Indeed. Would love to see the 2021 in a lighter denim. Love my 12oz 2009s.

No sorry, I can't find any photos on file of that denim worn in.  As with most black overdyed jeans over indigo denim, these will fade slowly from black to dark gray to a dark indigo over time.

Thank you for looking. I'll try to pop into one of the shops and check them out in person.

What were you looking for? I’m hoping roy uses this denim on his next straight leg Jean. I’m tempted to size up and try these but I don’t wanna spend the money on something I know won’t be perfect.

I guess it would be characterized as Relaxed Tapered. But like I said, it's just not what Roy does.

  7. Not gonna lie, the measurements were a total disappointment for me.

Not really sure what is slim or tapered in the larger sizes. The difference in leg opening between this and the last release is 0.2", the knee 0.5", and thigh 0.05" for a size 36.

I think there was an opportunity to use this possibly never before used fabric and they took it. You never know, the slim fit may have been planned alongside of the previous special fabric fits and is just seeing a later release date based simply on the time required to get them sewed up.

I'd buy if the taper wasn't so bad. But, BOW now mostly seems to sell denim with the carrot taper, which I hate. Is this the new normal for denim?

Its a new 12.5oz denim. CT fit has worked for me in the past so I was wondering how the denim is itself...

this feels like good news to those who've been clamoring for a return to those fits... do we think they'll stick around the $430 high water mark?

I can't see them costing less. I doubt material costs have changed much (if anything possibly they're more) and previous sales have proven there is a market for his work at that price point.

@SuperJackle Yes, they have a nose wire, and the ear loops come with a little adjuster to make them fit better. (they are elastic also, so this may mitigate stretch).

Hope you guys like them! I mean as much as you can like a mask, anyway.

@justintk The adjustable ear loops were a major selling point for me.

Mine are not "heritage" but I do have one from Etsy that's chambray. My favorite, though, is from Outdoor Research, it's easy to breath through and came with some extra filters. I also got some "PM2.5" filters from Amazon, although I have a feeling that the coffee filter I was using before is just as effective. However, I need those for coffee! I have one without a wire, but I definitely prefer the nose wire. Otherwise my glasses fog up. I need to find one with head ties and a nose wire for extended use, the elastic ear loops work fine but they get annoying.

Thanks for the info on the Outdoor Research mask. I had been considering it and the positive review pushed me to give it a try. I'll let you know what I think once it's here.

That said, I have two Railcar masks and both work well but the elastic of these does get stretched out. I've been wearing them a bunch, so I really wouldn't say its a quality issue, simply the reality of small elastic bands. Using a comfort band to pull them tight along the back of my head seems to do the trick in keeping them useful.

  13. As soon as I saw 12oz I knew I was in. The R01 is not a fit I would normally wear but if it doesn't work for me I know there are plenty of denim tailors that could help me with a bit of taper.

Very excited and looking forward to seeing more details.

Super Denim had on last pair of 105's on sale and they happened to be my size, so I finally got a pair after all these years of looking.

Looking forward to some fit pics. We wear the same size and I'm interested in seeing how these fit.
