  1. Maybe some season-specific finished pieces, but that's just my best guess. All they told me was chinos and some sweaters, but I didn't get an extensive list. They called me while I was on the road so we didn't talk very long.

    ^Denim included?

  2. Levi has seemed to struggle with the LVC brand since it was created. They don't know what to do with it. It's not surprising that a large, global company has problems dealing with a product that is based on quality, heritage and strict attention to details.

Well, if it would help, I am saying here and now that I would gladly offer my services to Levi in order to help LVC transition to its new position within the company.

All I ask is for a reasonable salary, moving expenses and a nice place to live close to the Battery St. HQ.

  3. I'm guessing those aren't LVC's at all, rather modern STF's.

  4. man...it really chaps my ass that I shelled out $250 for the Made in USA chambray last year despite the fact that it didn't have the selvedge detail I had seen on other shirts and now these shirts have said detail

    rant over

  5. yeah...i've found that other brands/labels (EG, Post O'Alls, etc.), while not possessing the heritage of Levi's, make some pretty nice workwear-inspired clothing while still keeping production here in the US;

I can only afford when drastically marked down, but their prices are essentially on par with current LVC prices.

  6. cool...finally live

the size of the collection has blown up

it's interesting that they have some of the t's (and the sawtooth) under the "made in the usa" banner

I haven't seen these items with a "made in the usa" tag for a couple seasons

  7. they seem nice, but a bit spacey

Some shots of the new pullover from LVC. I bought this from the San Francisco shop. I will have to say the customer service there has gone downhill since Ben moved departments. I ordered this pullover shirt and the striped henley from them and they sent me 2 henleys not the pullover. I was very specific and they had the right one in there hand when I ordered but they still messed up. So I had to pay shipping to send their fuck up back and then shipping to get the right pullover sent to me which is a little fucked up, when it was there fault. I was also passed to like 3 different people on the phone. SO BEWARE WHEN SHOPPING FROM THEM.

  8. Thanks for the heads up...much appreciated...why didn't you like it? Was it cut weird?

I seem to remember someone (Shorty Long?) asking if the striped Henley worn by the Indian in the old photo and reproduced this season was available in the United States. I saw it this week at the Levi's Meatpacking store in NYC. I tried it on, but didn't look at the price or the size because it looked plain bad on me. Also had a very nice conversation with the "Historian" about workwear and flight jackets in old movies. The store is now stocking a wider selection of shirts. They have several henleys, a light blue shirt with stripes that I think Paul T has sported, and a dark indigo check popover. I also tried on the 1922 jeans. The fabric was very close to the 1915s which I have, so I didn't bite.
  9. I saw those boots at the Post Street HQ store in SF...awesome.

Don't know if this is the right thread to post this but I picked up a pair of Levis x Al's Attire North of Cordovan boots from the Levis Malibu shop.

They're a limited run that Levis commissioned Al to produce for the LVC Made In America line. Here's a link. Hope to post pix soon. Nautral finish as opposed to the Dark Cordovan on this link. $ 450. http://explore.levi.com/news/made-here-1/als-attire-boots-and-caps/

  10. I think up until about 2004/05...LVC had a dedicated website.

I particularly enjoyed the ones from around 2001/02.

I'm guessing in time for fall winter 2015. ;)

Kidding aside, it's nice to see LVC might be joining the 20th century some time soon. Only a decade late guys.... great job!
