  1. I just re-discovered this old CD in my basement, wicked stuff from back in 1995. Definitely feeling the ragga vocals. If you want to hear it PM me, and if anyone has more old school mixes in this style get at me.

  2. I'm just going to go ahead and straight-up jocl Sidney on the transparent watch front. That Skull watch he has is too good. I can't stop thinking about it and I sort of actually need a watch finally.

    I'm thinking.

The only problem with transparent watches is that they start to yellow over time, like the soles on Air Jordans. Looks horrible...

  3. Has anyone had problems with their CDG Synthetics evaporating in the bottle? I bought a bottle of Skai in May, use 3-4 sprays 5 days a week, and my bottle is nearly dead. I notice droplets of the cologne around the diffuser whenever I use it as well. I know I haven't used the whole damn thing in 4 months...

  4. My wife called me a little while ago, I think she had a minor nervous breakdown trying to get me a couple shirts from the online drop as a b-day present. Don't thnik she ended up actually being able to buy anything, she obviously is not cut out to make it as a hypebeast.

  5. I had a TA when I was a freshman in college who I thought might be into me, she was givingt he vibes in class, but I was intimidated by the fact that she was older and I was unsure how to proceed. It frustrated me for weeks. In the end I made sure to run into her at a party I knew she would be at, and yadda yadda yadda, I got an A in that class and learned that women in their 20's are way better than HS girls that semester.

Don't do nothing and regret it later. Words to live by, in any situation.

  6. Bobo - Death is going to get you in the end ANYWAY. No matter what you do to avoid it, you WILL die. But it's absolutely incredible that you are alive. Do you realize how many things throughout history had to go just perfectly so that you are alive today? And if you're absolutely miserable, CHANGE YOUR LIFE. Save up to move somewhere else. See a psychiatrist. Get a divorce. Adopt a puppy. Make friends in chat rooms. Take up drinking. If somebody purposely abuses or hurts you, HURT THEM BACK. Do whatever you have to do to stay alive (without harming any innocent people, if possible). Try to create something. Drop out of school, live on a floor and join a band. If you're feeling suicidal, say to yourself, "What the hell - life's just going to kill me in the end anyway. I'd might as well go see a movie or hire a prostitute while waiting for it to happen." Whatever - it's your only life. If you feel trapped, escape into another aspect of life. The world is enormous, and there are lots of places to go, people to meet and things to do. Just DON'T GIVE UP. Because believe it or not, people will miss you. Try to squeeze every possible morsel of happiness out of life that you can in this limited time you have, because you WILL be dead some day, but you will NEVER be alive again (most likely).

  7. - Flannels are disappointing for the most part (if anyone has an XL Tonal from last fall holler at me), but the 3 color wool sweaters look pretty nice.

    - Prefer last year's wilderness parka, although the nylon might perform better than the ventile cotton did (shit gets heavy when it's wet). Field coat looks nice.

    - Not digging the fleeces much but they usually add more later in the season so we'll see.

    - Curious to see what the narrow denim looks/fits like in person.

    - JFK tee shouldn't be a surprise since it's the 45th anniversary of the assasination this fall. Curious to see what other designs they have.

    - Feeling the military shirt, oxfords (if the fix the sizing), and the Hooded Duck Jacket.

    - That scarf is going to the hypebeast accessory of choice this fall.

  8. Ha. Honestly, after doing some research/max shelf weight comparisons, I don't see how much of the Ikea stuff would hold up. Esp. the Expedit shelving...max weight of what, 29 lbs. per shelf? Unless you cats have reinforced the shit out of them.

On the flip, I've found these:

A little more affordable than the Boltz stuff (which seem like a very A-1 way to go)...yet still seem sturdy (built strictly for the job, so to speak).

Also, what do you cats know about Gothic Cabinet Craft? Super low price-point, but is that because they are super-standard (bland) in design (as well as unfinished)?:

The Ikea stuff is plenty strong, as long as you set it up correctly and don't put it together and take it apart a bunch of times. I've had my 5x5 packed full for 3 years and have never had a problem, no sagging or broken pins or anything.

Gothic Cabint is decent stuff, but pretty generic. It's real wood though, as mentioned, so it's significantly more money, and way heavier. And you probably will not be able to take that stuff apart.

  9. Also...could these be the colored cubes dude mentioned?

    Have a feeling about 'em...

Those things are not made to hold anything heavy, I have some in my kids' playroom and they're fine for toys but they're way too flimsy for records. I have a few Expidits in different sizes including a big 5x5 one for my vinyl, they're great pieces for the price, but definitely make sure you have them balanced properly side to side because you could easily end up with your shit like that pic above. They aren't robust enough to support 1000's of records if it's all off center. They don't disassemble and move all that well either...

  10. I like Taste Of Fear a lot, never heard Forced Expression but from the descriptions I've read I'm not sure it would really appeal to me. Seems like they started to cross the fine line into grindcore territory and that stuff bores me pretty quickly. Cookie Monster vocals don't do much for me.

  11. Love this stuff. Infest, DropDead, Crossed Out, Spazz, Rorschach etc. are some of my favorite bands ever, my old band got to play with most of them and we were pretty friendly with a few. We were on the last Bleeargh comp as well...

Any Disassociate fans here? How about Fuck On The Beach?
