  1. Here is a Supreme Racing tank top from the Summer 2008 line. Bought from the webstore so there are no tags but this is absolutely brand new and unworn. Size is XL (measurements are available on the Supreme website). Price dropped to $78 shipped in the USA, that is retail price plus shipping and fees. Overseas slightly higher depending on where you are.

  2. i try not to say it...

i've heard from a couple of black friends that it all depends on the swagger of the nonblack individual, their upbringing or the context though. i've said it, i ain't black, and i'm trying not to say it anymore.

what do some of our esteemed black sufu members think about nonblack individuals using the term?

Jmatsu, you've come a long way baby...

  3. Just wait until 20 years from now. It'll be exactly the same.

    People don't grow up.

    They just become old children

Goddamn if this isn't the most truthful statement ever made on this forum.

Jeepster, start growing a thick skin or life is only going to get harder as you get older. If you think HS and summer jobs are tough just wait. You have the easiest part of your life (college) coming up, learn to deal.

  4. From my personal experience - soaking isn't enough...you have to hot wash. In fact, everytime Gordon has washed jeans I've bought, they've shrunk further with the next hot wash I give them.

    Same here...

  5. Reposting, (And quoting myself, postmodernism rules)

This is something Kiya posted on another forum about soak times:

"Soaking your jeans in water for anything over 40 minutes is a waste of time, the shrinking of the cotton fibers takes place because they've become wet then dry for the first time since being woven into a textile. How long you leave the jeans in the water does NOT equate to the amount of shrinking."

"Actual test i've done just to make sure what i've learned is correct: Take a pair of unsanforized jeans and soak them in warm water for 25 minutes, take another pair of the same jeans and soak them for 2 hours. Difference in shrinkage? Pretty much unnoticeable. Technically? .1" in the waist, .2" in the length. The temperature of the water makes a far larger difference. Kids who talk about "i soaked for three hours" are wasting 2 hours and 40 minutes of waiting time"

Multiple soaks, where you let the jeans dry completely in between, should yield a little additional shrinkage, especially with Samurai in my experience.

  6. i'm the only person who left williamsburg/bushwick.

I lived in Williamsburg from 1993-2004, then bought in Queens when I had my second kid. When I go back there now I'm so glad I got out. People who think they are hip for paying out the ass for those shit apartments will never know the real shit that was going on down there in the mid-90's, Kokie's and Sweetwater Tavern fo life!

  7. A maple top will add some high end "snap" to the sound of the guitar, an all mahogany body will sound very dark on it's own, which is why Gibson gives Les Pauls the maple cap, it's not just for the look. Some people like the sound of a solid mahogany electric but I think it sounds like a guitar with a blanket over it. I also prefer maple fingerboards to rosewood or ebony for the same reason. Play them side by side and it should be pretty apparent.
