    • I’ve nothing to contribute with regards to the model or the sizing, but I too share your yearning for the arcs, and also the 66 cut in general. But cannot wear slim tapered whatsoever sadly.
    • Thanks to b_F's unintentional, but persuasive, enabling, I have most of SC's Collectibles series jeans, and love them all.  But like ATWN, I'm not a historical purist, which in my case means I lack the knowledge of year or even period-specific details, plus I'm somewhat colorblind, so barely notice things like thread color differences. But I love the fact that there are people here who appreciate these details.  This, more than anything else, is why I tune in, though finding a nice pair of jeans that fits well is certainly a reason too. At the risk of going overboard with compliments, I am sincerely impressed by the knowledge and appreciation for historical detail that comes through on threads like this.  My friends all think I'm a collector, and while the number of pairs hanging in my closet is damning evidence, I know that knowledge and appreciation for historical distinctions is a better indicator than volume.
    • Hello! Looking for some advice. Bears have restocked and now have a size 34 in the Levis 66 cut. Wondering if others have any experience with shrinking these made in Japan LVC? The waist is suppose to shrink 5 cm and lenght 8 cm. Does that sound about right? Also does the rise shrink much? Raw for a 34 is showing as front rise 11.5 inches and 15.3 inches back rise. I wouldn't want them to shrink much in the rise really. Also hem is just over 8 inches. Does this change much too? I'm quite used to looser cuts now so wondering if I should size up to a 36 instead. I know the 66 is supposed to be a slimmer cut but don't think I could go back to slim tapered again. I love the look of the fabric though and miss having arcurates on back pockets so thought I'd give these a try.
    • Bought this shirt at a thrift store today.  anyone knows this brand? Supposedly Italian. Called Casucci. Label reads “famous tailoring factory”. I know it’s nothing fancy, bought it for next to nothing, but the fit is great and cool pattern.    from what I read online it can be from 70s or 80s.
