  1. Yeah I've had that before due to a storm or something. Not sure what that would entail at LAX but I've seen it happen for other locations. Days of no movement is when you should start to be concerned
  2. I agree phones are getting way out of hand. I'll be downsizing for my next one. Was just a general complaint with this "hobby". Still adjusting to not being able to try stuff on before I buy.
  3. I really wish there was a way to tell pocket depth before purchase. Rocking an Pro Max phone so I need deep pockets but it's always a crapshoot if the pocket is deep enough. I think I'm done with this hobby and buying different cuts or fabric.
  4. Silhouette are the brand of my frames. 2 years and counting so far. One amazing thing about them is each part is replaceable, no need to replace the whole frame. Only issue is they are so light it's easy to forget they are there. Other than the price they are amazing.
  5. Bigger is also thought of as safer, specially if going up against another SUV. It's basically replaced the minivan. Also looks more rugged for the male market who won't drive a minivan but will rock a SUV
  6. "Among the products allegedly infringing Levi’s trademarks are FullCount’s “1933 501 jeans,” which feature a “pocket flasher” that prominently displays the words “LEVI,” “501,” and “San Francisco,” which Levi’s claims are an obvious attempt to invoking its iconic branding. Levi’s also points to FullCount’s use of “an additional pocket flasher that blatantly copies [its] Guarantee Ticket trademark,” an authenticity-focused mark that Levi’s says it has used for over 125 years." Interesting that they can trademark the authenticity guarantee. If they really used the name Levi though is just asking to be sued.
  7. I can understand the red tags but unless the arcs are identical, they shouldn't own all arcs on back pockets.
  8. Unless it's an exclusive, it's much cheaper to buy from Bears, Demino or anywhere proxy wise they buying Momo's direct or stateside. Even with shipping and taxes it'll be noticably cheaper Also depending on how low you sag, you can generally get away with up a medium rise anything more and you risk not reaching pockets. It also depends on how long your arms are. IE I can't go more then a 14" rise of that start to hang too low when rocking around my hips
  9. Cool. Perfectly valid reasons. I really wish Apple invested more into the audio side more. Bring back a new model of the IPod.
  10. Have you considered the used market? While many brands such as Ibasso, Fiio, Hiby and others entry models are closer to the £500 range, they should be cheaper options for used or previous models. Just have to put up with outdated versions of Android and depending on uses that isn't much a concern.
  11. Sound quality comparison aside. Was just curious why go to the trouble involved with using one when any modern DAP is easier. It was a question not a debate. I wonder why it's missing It was a opening to learn why this is an interest. Nothing more
  12. Can I ask why? Is just to be "cool" rocking an older Apple device? Really loved the cheap DAC/AMP apple used? They were never about sound quality. If you want to rock a device just for music then buy a DAP . You'll be amazed at what some of the high end stuff sounds like. Even the cheapest one likely sounds better then an Ipod.
  13. Yeah the painted arcs on those are amazing. My biggest gripe is the smaller pocket size. It's not big enough for the larger phones. 7" phones likely weren't much of a major consideration in the 1940's
  14. Yeah I meant the distributors. Thanks for the correction
  15. Yeah the stopping them from listing on other sites will be hard to enforce. I doubt they will go that route and just pull a Full Count and force all stores to jack prices. From my understanding it's not so much about protection, it's all about the profit. The international retailers want full control of the market and don't like when we bypass them. They can't justify the insane markups they want to charge us overseas otherwise so they want to limit our choices. I could understand the issue if the markup was reasonable but it's not. It's just greed. As mentioned Samurai dead stock is where it's at. Got have my red tags and pocket arcs. So this decision won't effect me much. Just more reason to explore the smaller brands
  16. Anyone here know anything on Samurai's plans for 2025? At one point they were stopping all stores from shipping overseas or listing on their websites for international orders forcing all to be sold through their site, confirmed by Samurai themselves only for them to turnaround and say there was an error in that confirmation and will make an announcement at the end of the year. Yet 2nd still has a notice on their site saying it's still on "As a result of a notice from the manufacturer, the following will come into effect for Samurai Jeans products from January 2025. ・Prohibition of overseas mail order ・Prohibition of listing on mall-type sites As a result of the above, we will stop new listings on our Rakuten branch and Yahoo Shopping from January 2025." So anyone have any more info on this? The stopping of shipping overseas isn't that big of a deal as one can always use proxies, it's the not being able to list on Ratuken or Yahoo that's a bit more concerning as it'll make it more difficult to find stuff without a VPN.
  17. Thanks. I figured I should be ok. I'll leave about an inch extra. Can always do a small cuff if I have to. I figure I may have a bot more shrinkage in the 2nd collab pair as they didn't shrink as much as the others.
  18. Would be the Studio D'Artisan Sp-084 or Hinode's Samurai S510XX20OZGA, the 20th anniversary ones with the "Buddha" symbols and Samurai S5000XX-2ND-20TH, collab pair with 2nd. I'm hoping I'll be safe to leave a cm or two extra and get away with it. This is my first time with Japanese denim so I'm a bit out of my depth
  19. Hemming Unsanforized one wash, how much extra should I add to account for any future shrinkage? Same question for raw pair.
  20. Do all models of Sugar Cane jeans have the tag in the left pocket? I have the Okinawa and Hawaii's and both have this so I was wondering if this is a feature of all models? Love the jeans for the most part otherwise just not a fan of the tag in the pocket
  21. No not in any reality. This just looks like bad fitting jacket. I'm not a fan of the style either but that's another thread. Any other material and that looks like total crap, being demin doesn't excuse the bad fit. I can understand the baggy look and having well defined creases but this isn't it.
  22. Sizing has been my biggest blunder. That abd buying too much too soon. Now I have a bunch of brand new pairs about a size or two too big I have to now sell. I measured wrong and went up a size when I shouldn't have
