All FW type 2 are sold out everywhere. Will have to wait until spring to get measurements from Hoosier unless they have pictures from last year. Pre-ordering won’t work in that case. Hopefully they won’t sell out right away. tried on other type 2s yesterday: FULLCOUNT fit in a 46 TCB I needed size 50!! Looks like label sizes are all over the place. sugar cane type 2 look interesting too but is also sold out everywhere and only goes up to 44. WH also sold out and they said might not come back until 2024, which seemed odd. Lots of type 1s available

Real McCoys are slightly big in 44. Tried on a Momotaro in 44 ages ago and that felt big too. On the other hand Studio Dartisan is small in 44. i agree, sizing up is probably best. Cant stand it when I cant move my arms. The T back on the FW 46 is something I’m not sure about yet.

Interesting. Their jeans fit true to size. I’m 186cm 92kg (6.1 202lbs) For reference I wear L in Patagonia. Got an XL Tee from FW and only washed it cold once. It still fit but was uncomfortably tight in chest and shoulders. They said they’re gonna make XXL for their spring collection. I’ll try those again. I want to get a type 2 jacket and in-between sizes. Usually I’m a 44 but listening to you I should go for a 46 instead. Not sure about the T back on the 46 and up sizes. That’s maybe something to get used to. Sugarcane, FULLCOUNT or TCB don’t have that on their type 2s.

Do FW denim jackets run as small as their T-shirts? Their XL t-shirts fit like a US M or maybe L. I’m interested in their type 2 jacket. Looks like they become available in the spring again
-
Good points. I’m actually looking for a type 2 jacket. I would guess the seams on a jacket don’t get as much wear anyways. TCBs type two seems much cheaper than all others at 26k yen and it looks really good from what I can tell.
-
Good to know. TCB seems so cheap compared to all the others. Hear a lot of complaints about warehouse.
-
How do TCB seams hold up compared to other repro brands like Warehouse, Fullcount or Freewheelers?
-
That’s what they told me when I asked. Definitely unsanforized. either way, they shrink minimally if at all. i machine washed them at 40 Celsius and then tub soaked on hottest water that came out of the faucet. No noticeable difference. Same with their jackets. Something is different with their fabric.
-
Shock therapy basically. These I’ve washed on gentle cycle at 40 Celsius and then hot soaked in the tub as hot as it came out. Not much puckering going on except for the hem.
-
Interesting. I thought most of the roping and puckering will happen on the first few washes as the threads and fabric shrink. But yes, these have only had three washes in 9 months.
-
I’ve put 9 months continuous wear into mine. They are holding up surprisingly well, despite all the bad quality reviews I saw here on the forum. Great fit for me. Nice high rise yet sort of slim cut. Slow faders but great construction. I thought the stitches were kinda boring when new. All tobacco color, but they fade in so many different shades depending on where on the jeans. i machine washed mine at 40 Celsius and then did a hot bath tub soak to get all the shrinkage out. They didn’t shrink much. i have a suspicion that their fabric might be sanforized of some sort. Have a raw denim jacket from them and that didn’t shrink either with first wash and soak. Not at all actually. I also measured to make sure. Because their denim shrinks so little after first wash there’s very little puckering and roping on these. With all cotton stitching I would’ve expected a lot of that. But nothing much there. they also run large. My waist is 91cm or 36inches. In All other Japanese brands I need a 36 this one was a 34”. It says L32 but they feel longer than that maybe more like 34” long.
-
Yeah saw that but looks so professional. Was wondering if she does it by hand.
-
Those arcs look pretty good. Hand stitched ?
-
We go thru different phases. I’ve never liked the heavies and never understood the arcs, especially the elaborate ones like Flathead. But my taste has obviously changed since my Onis.
-
Yeah mate. Totally get it. I’m somehow not into the arcs at all. Was just wondering. Never got it but to each their own.
