Ah, supporting local journalism I see, I like that (my profession!)
Whereabouts in our fair city do you live?I'd say supporting is a big word in this context but I certainly appreciate aspects of their newspaper even though a some of the content reads like it's written by 8 year olds.
I'm right on the edge of Aarhus N and Aarhus V.

Mine are still on the drying rack - will have to get a hold of a newspaper in the meantime.
On another note - have anyone else experienced irregularities when it comes to the jacket sizing? After trying mine on again I realized that it's way to small - almost two sizes in the chest meaning it's way too small for me.

@JDelage, yeah, when you get a chance that'd be great—there're some on sale at East West that I've been eyeing for what feels like well over a year now, and I think now might be the time, fit allowing
Measurements on Eastwest are rather accurate. I'd say the sizing is very dependant on your build. I'm slim with broad shoulders and Large fit me very well except for across the shoulders - this also results in the sleeves being a tad shorter than I like.
Otherwise they're very nicely made and with nice materials. Nothing mind-blowing but nice shirts.

Just to add some positive vibes - the jeans fit me very well - will give them a 40° wash but no actual shrinking required which was my initial fear.
The jacket is a tad shorter than I'd like in the arms (not too short though). I haven't checked the measurements but I'm confident it'll be better when it looses up a bit. Maybe I'll give it a cold wash and see if I can stretch them a bit.
All in all I'm a very happy camper. Denim is nice, patch is nice, fit is good. I'll see if I can get some fit pics up after the wash.

@Broark I had a look around Barnstormer for other reasons and it looks like they have a pair of black Coupens in size 12 stocked.

That shirt is great, great fit as well. Looking at that I'd say I'm a size 4 even though I'm a bit taller.
What annoys me a little (being spoiled I suppose) is that the UES international shop won't declare a lower value on the package (which is fair enough as they're an official outlet) but none of the Japanese shops carry these shirts in larger sizes than 3 and none of the EU outlets carry the nice colours.

Speaking of Coupens - The Comstock's are very similar and very nice.

Got my tracking as well - estimated delivery on Friday where I'll be out in the woods somewhere. Oh well - guess I'll have to wait a little.

^Fair enough - just wanted to give you a heads up before you went out of your way.

So a few months ago I emailed Rolling Dub Trio to see if I could order their Stan Chelsea boot in size 12, no response.
Today I emailed Tempo Design Store to see if they could special order them and they said I could around October.
I'll likely go with the Stan in brown and maybe a pair of Coupens as well...Both Stan and Coupen are great. I really like the thought of Chelsea boots but had a hard time something that fitted into my wardrobe before I ran into the Stand.
Just to be clear though - they do fit big so sz 12 will be massive. I generally wear US 11 in sneakers and 10 in Stan and 9.5 in Coupens (which probably are tad too tight in a couple of spots).
Edit: I'd say sizing is pretty similar to Lofgrens, especially Donkey Punchers.

Those are very nice - it would be interesting to know how long the pre-order will run for and if it's pre-order only?

@julian-wolf How do you size these compared to other shirts? I've found that going for my usual measurements on IH UHF shirts results in a very trim fit that is more or less too tight due to the thickness of the fabric. The chest does however look huge on the sz 5 for these so I'm not that the same would work out.

William Lennon is great quality for the price. Much better than Red Wing which is in a similar price range.
Edit: Ah, Duke beat me to it. And just to be clear, the first pair you linked to will probably disintegrate while still in the mail.

Smaller waist might be a blessing for us 35" people.

^Very cool shop - haven't seen that before. Very much in line with their approach.
I do love me some Sassafras - I've got three shirts that I absolutely love to bits. If anyone have a line to getting it from Japan I would be very interested. Kafka carries a decent amount of their stuff but it's limited to certain styles.

I don't know how it is for you guys but here the bigger couriers like UPS, DHL Express and FedEx are generally extremely streamlined when it comes to handling customs. National postal services - not so much.

I snagged a cardigan from North Sea Clothing on sale and I'm extremely impressed with the quality. Super heavy knit - it almost feels like a jacket. It also have some nice details like reinforcements at the buttons and holes. Wouldn't hesitate a moment to pay full price for this. Should be great when fall comes knocking. They seem to take the 'Whatever weather'-slogan seriously.
Some Quick snaps (colour is best represented in the first one):

I'm absolutely no expert but this post
...says cold water?
I ended up adding an inch to my OW hemming request, in case they keep shrinking a little
But if that doesn't happen it's more cuffs I guess
That's the post I was thinking of. I'd say that 30 degrees is what's constitutes as a cold wash on a domestic machine anyways. If they wash it colder than that - the more reason to wash them before use.

Same here ahah !
Why should we soak or wash the OW jean before wearing ? I think wearing my jean as it arrives
I think (and someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong) that the TCB OW proces is a 30 degree wash. Now, if you want to wash your jeans warmer than that there might be some additional shrinkage - especially in length. I think it's good to know that the cuff will stay the same length as you might get some funky fades/wear if you change the overall length at a later point.
Again, as there's probably more shrinkage at warmer temperatures it's a way adjust the fit slightly if it's necessary.

57 minutes ago, mondo said:^ like you, I've never been a 36 in anything... always a 33–34 depending, but acting on the advice of @volvo240thebest I went with a 36 raw for the TCB '40s contest. I do remember the one time I tried on TCBs in person (can't remember which cut) at Great Southern Denim (sadly missed), the 34 inch waist scored a hard "no" from all parties... I could fit into them, I guess, but it wasn't pretty. That was the largest size on offer at the time. Hoping I can swallow my pride and embrace the incoming pair...
I'm a 34 in most denim but wear a 36 in 50s and went for the same in the 40s. TCB (and some other brands) have s bit of a gap between their 34 and 36 (in 5 pockets jeans) sizes I'd say which is probably because they stay pretty true to the labeled size. I could probably get into a pair of 34's but it wouldn't be pretty. A 34 does however fit me perfectly in the Seaman's trousers. 89 cm or so around is my sweet spot I've found.

The good thing is that it looks like the weather will be cooling off a little here in the next couple of weeks. Apart from rigid being shipped separately I suppose there's also a difference for us that ordered the full tux - keeping order of the shipping would be a nightmare otherwise

Yeah, I know but as mentioned my upper torso is more or less the same as an average person. Inseam can be a bitch though.
On another note Mirror Ball - seriously quick and cheap shipping with UPS.
