  1. I don’t know about the latest version of insulators but I can recommend the J50-WS. It’s super warm and looks great as a stand-alone jacket.

Regarding fitting, in honesty I don’t think the J1A fits me that well on its own. I don’t think sizing down will help either. So it’s roomy on me and with the insulator it makes it just right.

  2. I have the same J1A-GT, in large. On its own it’s quite big on me but when I wear my J50-WS, in large, underneath it becomes a top combo.

  4. That’s very kind of you to say so, thank you. Yeah went with the medium as that was the length I needed. After trying on, I was genuinely concerned about the extra waist material and the fit around the lap area. I still don’t think my pictures reflect the baggy effect. I know it’s a total different pant, but when the P30A-DS came out, I was thinking I would never be able to pull that look off (baggy effect in rear). But after time, I have grown to like the style of them now. I guess I’m trying to quash my doubts and go with the pioneering ways of Acronym.

  5. I’ve tried on with a belt and can distribute the excess material evenly around my waist. Not sure if it’s the done thing really.

Also I can count 12 pockets in total and not sure where the other 2 are at. Unless I’m missing something.

  6. The anatomic bomb has landed. Just received a pair of P37-DS.
The tension zips are very clever, one hand to open/close. Inside the cargo pockets are 2 more pockets neatly placed.
The main thing that hit me was the baggy effect in the lap (front) area. I need to try on with a belt as I have found the waist to be roomy, possibly too much. I doubt I would be able to size down either as the length is just right.

I’m undecided on them at the moment and will have a more thorough look tomorrow.

  7. This is why this place has turned into my daily read, fantastico.

how is everyone’s LA6B-AD holding up? Is the material worth it?

I haven’t worn my LA6B-AD much, too hot at the moment, so I can’t comment on the longevity. But I find the material great. It feels super comfy and the texture adds another level of depth to an outfit.

Are Acronym hoods interchangeable between jackets? I’m still intrigued with the J84-S hood and wondered if it could be fitted to another jacket?

  8. I have recently picked up a J33-E and I’m well pleased with it. Really like the encapsulated nylon material. It’s lightweight and feels great as many of you have expressed before. The cut of the jacket feels roomy, yet fitted. I’m glad I went with a smaller size. The access from the left external pocket to the internal pocket is useful. And the hood design is super cool.

How are people finding the J33-E after a bit of time?

P16A-CH FW-1415, Small, new only tried on. Folded spec sheet. No bag. £375.

I didn’t purchase from realreal. Dropped price.
You’re correct to pull me up on my price @Yan90, I saw the hanon vault price and thought I would copy. I understand that this place isn’t for profit but for the love of Acronym.

    Apologises.

Deep pockets are best acrnm feature.

Yes. I also find the flak pocket real useful for sunglasses. But if I owned an Acronym piece with sleeve anchor loops that would probably be my favourite feature though.

I’ve always appreciated well made, quality products in everything.

In short I came to techwear through Stone Island/CP Company (Massimo Osti) to Shadow Project then Acronym.

I appreciate the thought and time spent on designing a garment with functionality a priority. The in depth consideration/research for the placement of a pocket. The intricate details you discover when you wear a garment. A piece of clothing that has meaning, has a story appeals to me. Longevity is a must. I don’t mind spending hard earned money but I want it to last. I think to own a piece of clothing you really like has an extra special feeling.

Been reading this forum for a couple of years. I’ve learnt a lot and enjoyed the discussions, so I decided to sign up.

Talk about diluting the reverence around their most known piece.

Perhaps diluting is too strong of a word, but creating multiple versions of the J1A in such a small amount of time is too speedy for me.

rather it gives strength to acronym's principle of tweaking little things moving forward to improve upon previous versions.

I think we can all agree that we enjoy the little tweaks to previous versions of a model and the constant search for improvement. But I would like the variations spread over the collection a bit more.
