Nice bump @Unnmd it looks like a pretty swanky hood! it's hard to tell if those houses are old or new...

Ive been stuck in the house all day in the pissing down rain so i thought i would join in

It’s a very nice place to call home. I’ll get out and go the other way to get some more pics. 2 of those houses are new builds, the very first white one and the other white one towards the bottom that looks new. The others are all original houses from the 30s.

  2. Grew up in a small beach town on the west coast of Michigan, headed to Southern California for college and a few years after. Took an opportunity that relocated me almost as far away as you can get in the continental US to Boston.

Met an amazing woman randomly one day who was visiting friends. When our NYC-Boston every other weekends weren’t working anymore, I found a job in NYC, and rented a truck to move everything again haha.

Flash forward 7 years, we are married and settled in southern Westchester NY. These are from our favorite walking loop, mainly focused on the architecture of the homes (I’m an architect and love how the neighborhoods are set up).

Isn’t it in Seal/Sunset Beach right next to Taco Surf?

what's the point of buying his ready to wear anyways? isn't the whole point of his brand that he sews them himself with a single needle? why would you want to buy something with his name on it that was sewn by someone in LA. Seems dumb to me especially given his PR

No place for that kind of logic on the interwebz good sir.

I don't know if he's filthy rich or not but after checking out his Instagram page just now, he sure does fancy himself a lot, I mean like even for Instagram standards of vanity, he seems to see himself as the reincarnation of Dwight Yoakam, without realizing that Dwight Yoakam is still alive.

I have never looked, but I'm guessing it is a dumpster fire. Let me guess.....lots of cowboy hats, music lyrics, pictures of people he wishes he could be, and 90% of him "deep in thought"?

WH is doing the same thing essentially. If people start filing complaints with the AG's office he'll definitely know about it. I mean, he keeps posting sad trombone face pics on his IG account complaining about paying customers that are complaining about not getting their stuff. Not very professional imho.

He seems to like talking about how quality takes time and that he's a one man operation. Ande Whall was a one man brand that did everything and in a timely fashion. The difference being that Ande took a sensible business approach to orders. He'd get a roll, make a limited number of denim from that roll and then get his jeans to customers. WH seems to make false promises and then has the audacity to take pot shots at customers that have been waiting a long time for product. If he can't deliver product then he shouldn't be in business. It's a Ponzi scheme. It's only a matter of time before sh*t hits the fan and he closes up shop.

    He's the Madoff of denim.......expect he isn't filthy rich......or is he???:ph34r2:

I really wonder what accounts for different people's experiences with customer service, i.e. contact with Ryan. People report being completely ignored by him. But every time I have contacted him, he has got back to me very quickly. I asked today for a 12 month update, and he responded within an hour.

Maybe how you approach it? Or just caught him on a good day. If the subject line of your email is “Where are my jeans motherfucker!!??!!” he may not open it right away.

Hey guys, nah not coming back, I was just getting nostalgic for denim the other day so thought I would read some superdenim.

The art world is a pretty tough old game as well, good fun though.

I was so hopeful for a few minutes until I got to this post. :unsure2:

Has anybody tried setting up a professional visit with him to see how he runs and creates his denim?

I actually did back in 2014 when I was still working in the denim business. Sent him material that he said he would use for the Denim Bruin meet up that year. Only thing I was curious to see was the final product and maybe a little bit of his process. As soon as he received the denim all communication stopped. Sent a few emails over the course of 6 months and never heard back. Was comtemplating at the time if I wanted to order a pair from him, but got a feeling for how he handled his company and never did. Judging from this thread I made the right decision haha.
