Really not sure how I should size these. I only ever tried a 50s OW and I gained a lot of weight since.
My tanuki regulars are 92cm/36.2in in the waist (way too big)
And 34cm/12.4in thighs (perfect)
Rise is 32cm/12.5in and fine, could be lower, could be higher.
So I'm thinking the cut will work but kinda lost on sizing. 33,34 or 36 OW?

No sweat Volvo, will wait for good content. I will say though that the measurements look mighty fine!!
The patch too!

Currently watching the Instagram live - words cannot explain how happy it makes me to see these people together.
Watching @volvo240thebest fawning over the misalignment of the box pleat sewing on the jacket was amazing!
Volvo your accent is so great.3 -

23 hours ago, Facini said:Amazing. Hard to believe that we are only talking about 5 washes! How extensively have you worn it?
Thanks.
Well I washed it once after the first year and then twice every year since, so it comes out to 5 or 6, I don't really remember exactly.I honestly feel like I haven't worn it that much. I don't really wear double denim and I wear jeans almost every day, so you'd think I didn't wear it so much that it would fade like this.
I attribute that mostly to wearing it while doing yard work and other physical activities - plus I never ever babied it - it gets thrown around and stepped on a lot2 -

@Broark, I don't know, the outer layer of my Heracles elbow blew out and now I don't really wear it. There's another layer underneath but you can still really see it's blown out, so I don't know if it's really very practical for people who aren't ACTUALLY 1920's miners...

Agree. I don't wear my standard fatigues during summer, they're just too warm.

Att: @mpukas and others.
My Tanuki ER size 34, worn for about a month.Bought as one-wash, washed once on 40C and once on 60C - hung dry. No washes or soaks since.
Measurements (BOW-style, except for thighs - I always go past the crotch seam to include all the fabric, so the measurement will be bigger than BOW method):
Waist: 92cm / 36.2in
Thigh: 34cm / 13.4in
Front rise: 32cm / 12.6in
Back rise: 41cm / 16.15in
Inseam: 84cm / 33in (hemmed by Göteborg Manufaktur)5 -
@mpukas I'll have some pics and measurements for you tomorrow. They were bought as a one-wash version and then I washed them on 40C and 60C to shrink them as much as I could.

I also got the ERs recently and I have the opposite problem - I got them in a size 34 and I should have gotten a 33. They are ever so slightly too big in the waist and have a little too much flare for my liking. 32 I think will be too small unfortunately @mpukas, 33 and I would have jumped on them.
Funnily enough I actually haven't seen anyone get this pair and be satisfied with their size, but that's probably just a coincidence, hah!

Does anyone here have a pair of Tanuki's jeans in the Earth denim? I'd like to see how it evolves.
Specfically, if anyone has a pair of ER (Regular cut) jeans of theirs, I'd love to hear how they are.0 -

The Bureau Belfast is having a sale right now, and I'm definitely getting their version of the Mill pant - but I can't decide whether to chose the chino or poplin version. They're nearly identical save for the fabric used - does anyone have any input as to pros and cons of either version?

Anyone here from Malmö? I was going to get a pair of Warehouse lot 1082 chinos from Le Shop Sage this week but it seems they’ve gone bankrupt
They’re having a final sale but only in store it looks like. If anyone is going there and could proxy me the pants (I’m in Denmark) that would be awesome.

Would it make sense for me to size up in the Seamen's jumper?
I'm 5'10 (178cm) and 180 lbs (82kg) and concerned that the 40 will be too slim for me in the chest. I can't button my size 40 50's jacket anymore because the chest is so tight now.

^ I see, in that case I think you'll be alright. I'm 5'10 and 180lbs - semi-wide shoulders and a short torso and wide-ish hips (which means the bottom button, which is quite low on the Heracles, is never buttoned because the shirt is tapered towards the hem quite a bit).

I have the Heracles and I gave it that treatment without very much shrinkage. It's rather long, especially in the sleeves, so I don't know about sizing up. I'd be vary of it mostly because of the sleeve length.
