Really a joy to see such clean pattern matching…

Thanks @Maynard Friedman. Yeah, this is actually the first time I've seen what they look like on me and they do fit really well. They're cut a little slimmer in the waist than Sugar Cane's MiJ jeans of the same era; I expect they'd probably stretch to be comfortable, so this isn't a huge deal, but I'd rather not have to force them. The bigger problem is the front pocket openings, which are smaller than I prefer. I have enough jeans that feel more or less perfect that I think it would feel like a waste of leg time to wear any that weren't, y'know?
That said, the fabric is really great, the detailing is generally in line with my preferences, the cut does suit me well, and so on. Each time I try them on I wonder if I should just give them a bit more serious of a chance…it's not like they're going anywhere, so I really don't have much to lose

SC41955, factory-washed, size 33
Really great-seeming jeans. This pair's actually still up for sale, if anyone wants it, with all of the original packaging & labels. Unworn besides a few quick times trying them on. More photos & details back on page 240 of this thread.

^ I can pull mine out and take a fit pic later today or tomorrow, if the light's right. Still unworn in their factory-washed state, so should be pretty representative. Size 33.

My Sassafras shorts have treated me well, yeah

^^ & ^ I'd throw my hat in for a 33, should I be so lucky for any to still be floating around

Fuck me those are gonna end up being expensive, but yeah I'm in if the long inseam ends up being available—voted appropriately

@Broark, Lofgren's standard laces are just super flimsy. They look and feel great, which is why I've been inclined to keep using them up 'til now, but they really don't last half as long as they should—even going through eyelets. I've tried both the Boondocker and the Combat Boot laces, and the Boondocker laces definitely last longer but still fall apart fast. Ready to switch to something less pretty but more functional.
edit: Thanks for the recs. I've used Red Wing's before and haven't liked them so much, but I do remember Wolverine's being fine. Will look into ordering some.

^ For the sorts of packages we usually deal with here, yes. For smaller parcels like letters and postcards, no—none of the private post services come close to offering a viable alternative. USPS is absolutely essential.

Good place to buy flat waxed laces online?

Anyone know of any Japanese retailers that still have stock of plain white THC tees? Been a long time since I've seen any pop up and I'm due for a restock.

@heyson yep, sun-exposed
Did a slew of prints over this past summer with my mom; they've been sitting around collecting dust since and with how much extra time I've been spending inside, these past few weeks, I've finally started finding places to hang some up
Really great reward-to-effort ratio, for anyone looking for a fun home decoration project

Orgueil, Cane's, TFH, also feat. new belt from @engine—more on that in the belts thread next time the light's good for photos. (In summary: very happy with it so far!)
Not shown, but to be donned shortly:

Whitesville? My Rite Stuff tee is also very short

Yeah I’d go with the 31. Mine have shrunk closer to 3.5” in length, but they’ve been through the dryer a few times

The jeans-pulling-a-horse patch has always been one of my favorites, and would be a huge plus for me. I don't feel the need to have anything SuFu-specific anywhere on it, and would probably prefer if the jeans didn't explicitly reference the contest in any way, but this isn't a strong preference and some reference definitely wouldn't be a dealbreaker.
Honestly, I'm mostly in it for the possibility of Warehouse jeans with a longer inseam, and I'm not too fussed about the particular details (at least now that we seem to have settled on going with one of the Duck Digger repro-esque models). At this point it's seeming likely that I'll be happy with wherever we end up—of course, I Trash Repped anyhow just to be safe.

^ I know you're joking and all, but on a board where we spend most of our time obsessing over details that won't ever be noticed by anyone besides the wearer either way, being turned off by hidden details doesn't seem like it should be taken as any more ridiculous than being turned on by them.
I prefer jeans with single-chainstitched waistbands, even though no one besides me will ever know the difference. I also (strongly) prefer jeans with plain pocket bags, even though the loudness of overly-adorned alternatives might only ever be evident to me. The whole reason we're here is to care about these things.

If I'm in a forest and no one's around to see, I'm probably not wearing pants

Never tried it on suede, but when I've used coconut oil to condition smooth-out leather in a pinch it's seemed to result in a much duller finish than animal oils like mink. I've generally tried to avoid it since making this connection. Not sure whether this would transfer to suede.

First week of passably-ripe strawberries: first galette of the season
Hopefully many more to come as we transition through cherries, stonefruits…
(Never been big on baking w/ apples so haven't done much since last summer)
Meanwhile, also really been enjoying the chance to take breakfasts more seriously
Beverages and all!

Yeah, confirming that I'm in for any of the options posted by Ed in the other thread, provided a longer inseam is available. Glad to see this is getting moving!

Pretty much any shoe store? I think I was most recently measured at an REI, but that would've been at least 7 or 8 years ago

^ Hell yeah, I think I’ll spend the morning taking it easy jamming out to old Boards of Canada—been too long since I thought about Warp
Thanks for bringing that all to mind
