    should have dropped a p10a-ds

No thanks, I’d be $1.5k poorer then. How is storing items in the attached pockets on DS pants (P24A/23A)? Does the stretch make heavier items feel awkward or bounce around?

  3. From the GTV product pages:

DISCLAIMER: Due to the industrial nature of this fabric as well as its high-visibility hue some stains may prove impossible to remove with cleaning. 'Strike through' of the membrane color to the outer surface of the fabric will also occur when the fabric is scored with hard objects. This is an intrinsic characteristic of the fabric and cannot be considered as defective.”

So does that mean any rough abrasion will cause a dark mark to be left on the fabric?

I believe there will be a drop every month, not sure if just for this season or for the whole year, but that was what E stated at the time.

I thought he said the intermittent drops were only for spring. AW 18 will be back to one drop or broken into two as in the past.

I like the obnoxious ACG branding hahah I just don't like when the nike logo is just as big

On some pieces it’s done much better than others for sure i.e. placement, size, number. Others appear to have the logos just slapped on in random locations and orientations which I’m not a fan of.

previous collection wasn't for me but it was an interesting divergence from the acrnm aesthetic. this just looks like some of those asian knockoffs with too many zippers.

I feel like a lot of ACG pieces come off as looking cheap, especially this season and last. The obnoxious branding all over certainly doesn’t help. Items still sell out though so what do I know.

Excluding VAT they charge €20 above retail. Why? Because it's Acronym, their MO is taxing the fuck out of the customers. Let's not forget the duties that we also have to pay.

A lot of the EU retailers were charging €250 though so I assumed the extra cost had something to do with tax added to the retail amount. END is apparently trying to compliment their terrible stylings with equally terrible pricing.

This is weird. I am the same height and weight and Medium fits perfect for me in P10-DS.

All about your inseam length instead of actual height IMO. It better determines where the hem on cropped pants or articulation on the knees will hit. I'm 5' 10" but have shorter legs. Size small P23-S below:

Those 56 hand pockets make no sense to me...just the way your hands have to go over the serrated zip :-/

I frequently use the side entry on the 56 pockets to store gloves for easy access since you don't have to zip/unzip.

@nesherman I share the same sentiments. The look/fit on the 56 is easily one of my favorites, but the pocket configuration is pretty awkward. Especially compared to the compartmentalization and ease of use on the 28's mezzanines. Maybe it's my ocd tendencies coming through, but I find it pretty satisfying being able to keep my items organized/separated. Thanks for the write up.

Not sure why you all are dissing Veilance all of sudden, but as for the Acronym/Veilance comfort and fit I think that the Knight pants from Tilak Poutnik are the perfect match if you're looking for something more smart and comfortable.

Definitely, I opted for these because Voronis look terrible on me. Fit is much better on the Knight pants IMO. I have good range of motion in them, round house high kicks no problem lol. The Knight also has a lot of nice little details: knee darts, slanted pockets, gusseted crotch, low key logo. They do have a bit of a sheen to them but no big deal for me. I was surprised when I got them that they have a DWR application as well. I don't know why none of the retailer's product specs mention this. Plus thery'e much cheaper than the Voroni!

As for Veilance pants, I do quite like the field and indisce. I have been alternating between the two the of them over the winter. They've been ideal for me to bike to work in freezing temperatures and stay warm/dry. Added bonus that when I get in I don't have to change clothes as I did in the past with typical wind/waterproof cycling pants.

But doesn't everything ship out of Czech Republic now? And I figured the AVM stuff was basically handled already.

I just received my shipping notice Wednesday for the AVMs that restocked last week.

  12. Also received a message from UPS today regarding my AVM order, "a missing commercial invoice is causing a delay"...

    Improved CS?

dang. cant remember the last time "check your spam" has actually worked. thanks

For some reason when I order through acrnm.com my order confirmation will come to my inbox but the payment confirmation goes to my spam. Made me a bit nervous on my first couple orders that they'd be canceled until I figured it out.

isn't it fake? no micro-grid backing

Don't think so, product shot from Bodega below. Pretty sure older models didn't have the actual "grid" pattern even though they have the backing layer.

having trouble finding lf100 for "retail or less" .. at least in a 10.5

Yeah size is def a factor. I guess I should have said "around retail". I'm 11-11.5 and have seen quite a few pairs available for $200-225.

I was moreso implying that they got snatched up to resell with people probably figuring it was a gold mine when looking at what some folks were paying for prestos and the LF1s. That hasn't seemed to happened, but I suppose could change in the future. Same with the AVM.

Every production department operates on margins, prices are not arbitrary. Sure larger companies will round to an even number, but margins are why the J53ts is priced at 1,887.00 EUR and not 1900. The price of GoreTex has gone up a lot of the past several years, so has leasing factories.

I always figured they were at odd numbers like that because of the included tax. For example if you remove VAT the price is ~1500€. I mean my expenses go up every year (rent, food, insurance, etc...) so it's no surprise that product costs increase. One of the few things that seems to stagnant is wages. Good on them for paying better wages to their workers with the rise in popularity unlike many businesses.

Yeah, the funny thing is that Grailed prices are going to be determined by a number of things—what people were willing to spend last year might not be the same this year (the hype is dying)—it's not just like acronym was undercharging. The olive bags are just sitting on Grailed, going for below retail—same with the jackets. I expect there will be a bit of correction over the next few drops.

Agreed, same with the LF100. They sold out quickly but can still be had for retail or less. Similar with the the bags that dropped last November.

On the price hike, while I don't doubt that input prices have gone up faster than inflation, they haven't gone up nowhere near enough to justify the recent season price hikes.

This was my thought as well with seeing the new price of the J53. The increase was about the same as the new vs. original J28-GT (~$500-600). The difference the OG 28 released 5 years ago while the 53 only had about a 1 year difference from its initial release.

From my perspective it looks like that most of FW ended up on grailed at elevated prices and people still bought the product so why to let fucking cuntish prick reseller opportunist pieces of shit earn a buck on something they had zero input in. So for SS let's price the gear at what would a reseller ask at grailed and it's a win/win for ACRNM (resellers will pass/acronym gmbh earns more). I could hardly afford it back in the day and I could hardly afford it these days, no change for me.

It definitely seems that way, raising prices to help combat reselling. I don't disagree that the E and co. can charge what they want especially when people are paying those prices. There has to be a tipping point though, case and point with the 53's that are still sitting. I also think that a part of the problem with resale pricing is that some individuals have no clue what acr items actually cost. They see what is selling on Grailed or elsewhere and think that's what it costs because they're either too lazy to try to find historical data or it's not readily available. Or maybe they just have enough cash that they don't care and want the branding. Unfortunately it seems the latter is occurring more and more.
