I like the grey colorway myself but I’m pretty much a hater when it comes to anything other than black on black on black on charcoal on black on black on black on shale on black on black on black on gunmetal on black on black on black on draaaaaaab green on black on black on midnight on....
The grey is the better of the three, but I just don't feel it's anywhere near as satisfying a combo as the bamboo/black from the previous run.
Unless of course the final product is drastically different from the leaked shots.

I'm just going say it, that white J68 in cameraphone pics looks like something out of Yes Style.
I'm not a fan either...

Breakup most of time is expensive
Hahha, true, but... it's one thing to raise prices and retain integrity, which I'm fine with, and another to push items to the market that would have otherwise fallen on the edit room floor for the sake of a couple of $$$

Personally I don't know why they're doing a second round of these. The new colourways seem incredible cheap compared to the originals.

I’ll try and get a side by side with some p17s another time.
Man, thank you so much for these snaps. So good. Really looking forward to the P17 comparison!

01. aikido hakama pants can qualify as dropcrotch pants
03. thaibox shorts are pretty dropcrotch
Agree... I always saw their implementation of the drop crotch as meeting the needs of martial artists. I found this pretty clear from their videos, the close resemblance to the "real thing", and of course, this quote:
"I was always trying to find pants that I could wear and kick in"

Random question... I've just taken my beloved P17's out of the wash, and it seems that the label has come loose. Can I just confirm with someone who owns the same piece, am I right in remembering that the label is on the pocket, and not at the back of the waist band?

Anyone looking to sell a P17-DS in M, condition 9/10?

Thanks! Agree with @darkart; this looks like an exceptionally well made piece.

I grabbed the J69 and think it works way better in person than it does in their model shots—specifically, the downturned collar is actually a really great feature that makes the jacket wearable with an entirely different genre of clothing. The longer sleeves let you wear them straight like a biker jacket or tighten with a bit of bunch like a bomber.
Collar turned down.
Agree, looks damn good. Killer piece. Any chance you could share some closeups, esp. of collar?

That jacket already dropped. Crazy to see WS more expensive than GT pro but I guess it's the intricacy of the design of the j73 / exposed seem allowances of the j69.
Spotted P22-C in the j59
The P22's look incredible. Simple. I'm really interested to find out how the construction wears.

Can I just say, I think it's been one of the strongest drops in ages. I really like the variety and new cuts. It feels like there is a slow departure from the Acronym I got to know a couple of years ago, which I wasn't too sure if I was onboard, but I'm starting to get very excited about what we'll be seeing throughout the remainder of the year.
Although, admittedly, not a fan of the J47TS-GT (?) that cropped up.

I have to admit, I got my K in hand and passed it on a couple of days later. I was not impressed at all.

I know you're asking about J66-GT, but my J66-GTV just arrived this morning. Too soon for an in-depth review, but I can say that it's gorgeous in-person. The edges are already slightly fraying right out of the box. As expected, the reverse seams + intense color = brilliant showcase for the detailed geometric patterning. I'm a "Smedium" and I ordered size S and I made the right decision. The pockets don't seem to have that ugly flare out like they do in some of the product pictures. There's just enough room for light layering, but it doesn't look boxy or oversized like it would have if went size M.
Things you can't tell from the lookbook on their website -
- The primary zip is actually an EscapeZip.
- The shade of volt matches the heel of the AVM-007
- Weight-wise it falls right in between GT Pro and WS
- As with the J1A-GTV, there are no internal jacketsling loops
Killer review man. Would appreciate if you could share some snaps when you get the chance!

Thanks @TestaRossaTed. That's the impression I'm under as well, I'm just a bit surprised at the measurements for the GTV.

This is a completely subjective opinion but I don't really think it adds much value to the overall look of the jacket pre and post distressing, so I don't really understand the point of it. Doesn't seem to be a functional aspect of the jacket either.
Agree... pure aesthetics, which is either a refreshing or worrying departure from their norm.
Similar to the new colourways really.

Just for conversational purposes, what are peoples opinions on the raw / frayed edges of the J66?
I think they look great. Nice little detail, and sets it apart from their other products which have a much cleaner design. I think it's indicative of a new direction their taking, echoed in the kimono-style J72.

Is this a true product shot...?
If so, it's interesting that they've added the round, "strengthened" (for lack of a better term) dot at the front of the plastic cage. I found that the material on the previous gen all rubbed through quickly in this area.
