The P30 is edging closer to Y-3, I certainly welcome a more avantgardæ look these days, next up a CP3?

acronym to takes it's talents to houston.. beard gaitor featuring hærden tech.. which is funny because didn't he just do a capsule with y-3? i liked it too.

interesting. what makes you prefer inner to external jacket slings by such a large margin? i find the internal to get a bit annoying when sitting in a chair or on the T.

d - i'll tell you my take.. if its pissing wet outside, using the inner jacketsling prevents the wet panels from facing my body/prevents me from having to violently shake my jacket when i get inside wherever i'm going which is a bit much when i fling water everywhere within a 5ft radius.

  3. @alavkx also thank you for doing the due-dilligence.. unlike most people who make a sufu account just to come to this thread and try to buy or sell something, get told off, and never post again. refreshing. cheers.

Some difference I've noticed within the new P10-S raf and the older one:

    • New raf C/W is more noticeably olive rather than brown (questionable)
    • Olive ankle zippers instead of black

just wanted to say that it very well could be the treatment and reproduction on these images, as opposed to using a different color textile. both are possible, but based on how cool the white tones are in the flyknit racer midsole vs the neutral to warm whites of the older flyknit, i'l going to hazard a guess to say the variation is due to color reproduction.

this thread really should change it's name to the whining and moaning ACR vent thread HEADS ONLY.. or just be like p2w and take our frustrations out on the culture.

  6. i see no reason why acronym would have incentive NOT to raise prices. no other brand even comes close, awareness of resale market, inflation, fair worker compensation.. if he constructs it they will come. maybe if acr had a competitor it would incentivize competitive pricing, but there is no competition - he really is in a class of 1. considering this is his life's work and how much greater the demand is than the supply.. ya. i'd raise prices too.

The J28, for me, is the apex of functional design and daily-wear experience and I will be very sad the day that I put it to rest. A Stotz version, even with the J56 in my arsenal, would be a very tempting purchase if Errolson were to ever release one. I am forever spoiled by its near perfection.

every since i let my j43a go, something has been missing. i've been contemplating filling the void, i'm wondering if anyone could lend insight between the j47a (ws or gt) vs J28-gt. it seems like the 47a doesn't often make it into the conversation because of the ridiculous price and lack of availability.

i really want a gore shell, but the 47a-ws might have to do just because of the price vs the gt. also i've been extremely pleased with my 58-ws as a stand alone garment in wet conditions.

ugh yes thank you. that logo tape only. cherries lol.. thanks so much. never seen any of those pieces circulating.. only saw that picture. i admit id shell out foolish money for that logo tape.

  9. does anyone know anything about acrnm logo tape with cherries painted(?) on it? not sure if that was from acr but i suspect it was custom.. cant ever find the picture i saw. just wondering what the story with that is.

The mind is like a parachute, it works best when open.

But yeah, to each their own. Check out a book called "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell. There's a section in there where he talks about our psychological resistance to change when we are presented with new/radical ideas.

i read it geez more than 10 years ago now, it offered awesome insight into the psyche etc. thanks for that, gonna read again i def still have it somewhere.

for some, for sure. for most, perhaps. the feedback loop and dopamine hit are not things i was overlooking. that was my thought at the time, not an intentional informal analysis on the way UI stimulates addictive tendencies.

    cynacism wins the day again..

  11. narrow and deep baby.. there's a joke in there somewhere..

but seriously i was just having the conversation about resistance to change and accepting a new point of reference..

john is such a phenomenal communicator it's so satisfying.. you can see it on everyone's face. and the interplay of cross culture pollination in this global economy of things is super new and exciting. "domestic" policy issues become global issues simultaneously. some people get it, other's catch up.. yet you still reserve the right to disagree.

i have to say.. despite all the stress and bs that has come with this internet age of things.. it excites the hell out of me. that's probably why we all keep scrolling.

  12. just be grateful. erlsn works his ass off, jm worked his ass off to get to where he is, we work our asses off to afford these wonderful garments.. misery loves company and it seems like sometimes that's what this thread turns into.

it's important to get over these tiny problems with the culture surrounding super desireable and luxurious things and be grateful you even have the privilege to be this comfy.

just beacuse you are saving up, fantasizing, or trying to learn does not mean there is no high road. work hard stay focused, don't bring others down with you.

this thread gets really pathetic at times, but i know most of us here are above that.

    anyways

Agreed, same with the LF100. They sold out quickly but can still be had for retail or less. Similar with the the bags that dropped last November.

having trouble finding lf100 for "retail or less" .. at least in a 10.5

Trending on StockX under $300 and they haven’t even released on Nike.com yet lol

i paid $250 for my bamboo prestos and 300 for my volt lavas because i bought them day of/day after release. this is par for the course/not a downmarket indicator. the secret ingredient for resale is generally time and patience.

    Color: Light Bone/Light Bone-Black Style Code: AQ0996-001

    Color: Sail/Dark Stucco-Cargo Khaki Style Code: AQ0996-102

    Color: Black/Volt-Black Style Code: AQ0996-007

i've looked around at as far as i can tell they're set to release on different dates. light bone monday.. haven't found more than 2 retailers confirmed to carry. if anyone has a better sense of the release, i'd love to share notes.

  15. wanted to highlight the little things for a second... recently the static electricity has been out of control.. but when i wear S, DS, or CH and slide of my desk chair, i never get shocked. they all must be anti-static. i usually wake up up and put sweatshorts on, then get a huge shock - not how i want to start my day. so now i just slip into some acr right out of bed. crazy benefits you wouldn't have thought mattered at all.. just wanted to share.

Does anyone have any observations on the longevity of the DS Acronym uses? I've got a pair of P10TS-DS that are showing worrisome pilling. Pardon the creative description, but it's kind of on the area of your ass that flattens when you flex your glutes.

I've got some Outlier pants that are also dryskin, but those don't wear at all in this way. On the other hand, they feel much more... synthetic.

considering how much i wear my p10ts-ds i'm wondering.. do you often sit on brick or other rough surfaces? my pants look lik enew and i've worn them on average about 4 out of 7 days a week since i bought them when they dropped.

There is nothing innovative about any of the shoes gently remixed by acrnm, I’d be surprised if they’d received attention if anyone else has designed them, what would be innovative is if a whole new sillouhette was designed.

i can live in hope, but that dwindled some time ago, when acrnm was adopted as fashion by the hypebeast depeche mode crew.

i don’t consider the downtowns a gentle remix. do you?

GOOD FOR LOOKS ◒ BAD FOR HEALTH.  you should have seen blisters from my first day wearing LF1-100. Impossible to buy most slip-on shoes, others hurt after while.

this surprises me. where did you get blisters? every contact point is a soft smooth surface in my experience.
