there is a pretty large selection of stuff from the last year too in there too.

5105 at 6 months vs new. washed 3 times.

I picked up a pair of 5105s a little while ago and finally got around to giving them their first warm soak. I had to soak them in the kitchen sink. Folded them a couple of times inside-out and let them soak for a good 40 min. I'm letting them drip dry in the tub now and noticed that there are a couple of spots on the legs that aren't as dark as others-looks like maybe where they were folded the denim didn't absorb as much water? Will this be a problem?

 

i'm touching the 'lighter' areas and they're 100% wet. Weird. Should I give them another soak? Will that shrink them even further? Am I simply seeing the natural quality of the 5105s and don't worry?

 

Note: Not sure if this detail is helpful, but used a pot filled with water to keep the 5105s submerged fully in the water

The denim does has some slight color variation and it's just part of the character. After it dries completely I think it won't be as noticeable.

Yeah all of my fh shirts with the flat head branded buttons except for the older run of the linen has that button asymmetry. I like the look of it

i soaked my strike gold hoodies in cold for about 15 minutes and they shrunk about a size. haven't had any experience with real mccoy's though.  

yeah they stretch a fair amount esp in the waist

washed my 5105s for the second time yesterday. they have about 5 months of wear or so. took some quick photos right after they dried. they were super tight but have stretched out a bit now. 

apparently, uniqlo and PBJ both confirmed that it was not a collaboration. uniqlo is using the name "pure blue japan" to talk about their japanese indigo collection. 

wow those reviews are pretty rough. crazy thing is that this isnt even for their kickstarter campaign. this is for their regular brick and mortar operation which should have a good amount of these problems ironed out by now especially if they plan on actually fulfilling those 400+ orders from their kickstarter...i smell trouble. 

dont know too many details but it looks like from multiple sources talking with people involved with the brand that it indeed is closing. this season is the last. 

with strike gold jeans, i'd pay attention to the thigh measurements. i found that for most people, the thighs are the limiting factor with SG especially the 09 cut. 

those are coming along nicely. i've always liked that denim on the 666s. 

we have gold plated darning machines ready to work on those baller jeans at SESF

looking good quoise1203. lately i've seen a few pairs of RS04 and other Roys coming through the store with several years of wear that are looking amazing. his jeans definitely get even better when you take the time to wear them in. 

but you still don't have the reese 101. your collection is incomplete

man that surfer shirt is awesome. i'm a little sad we don't have it in self edge

the pattern matching on that shirt is so on point. you cant even know that the pocket is there until you need it. those buttons makes all other buttons on other shirts look so boring. 

you don't know about the reese 101 button hole machine? it's so much more heritage than the reece 101.
