Yesterday we went off for lunch to celebrate Mrs Volvo birthday. First family lunch out since forever...We went to an old trattoria which rates very high in our top ten... The menu is less than half the page.
Started with farinata which basically is a mix of chick pea flour oil and water, cooked in the fire oven. Crusty on top, deliciously moist underneath.
It goes well with the king of cheap peasant Italian lagers
Then deep fried super fresh local shrimps, which were absolutely terrific. I mean it's not as good as battered Mars bars but oh well ; )
Resting our eyes a bit

Even standard 50s chart is still messed up. 36 waist is s correct but big waist isn't. I'll let Ryo know.

I think ryo messed up the waist measurement on the website. He did the same for 50s a while ago.

Just got my shipping info for a new pair, size 33. I've never second guessed sizing this much. The 33 matches my TCB '50s and Warehouse 700s most closely and that's the fit I'm going for. If they're bigger than the chart, I will be super bummed. If they match and stretch obscenely, I'll just wear a belt and call it a day. In fact, I bought a Studio D'Artisan belt just for this new pair.
Everyone's pics and participation have been great so far. Keep it up and I look forward to joining you shortly!
yay!
I hope they'll work fine for you and surely a loose fit will work great as well.
After 1 month of daily wear and no washes my pair is now 46 cm BIG, bigger in the waist compared to the tcb 50 (45,5). They used to fit great without a belt for a couple weeks, now I need a belt2 -
Oh yes
3x Tcb 60s
2x Tcb 50s

By the time this contest ends Karl's jeans will be completely trashed, this is what I keep telling me haha!
Day 33 for me, no wash yet and not fades haha.
We had a wind storm yesterday afternoon and overnight, wind at 100 km/h. A table I had on the balcony flew away and landed on my neighbour's garden, thank goodness it didn't harm anyone. I think I've never seen anything like that. One of the shutters wasn't closed properly and it's now broken in pieces too. Fucking hell!

Fully agreed—I don’t mean to say it’s not appreciated, nor that it’s not a good use of time & resources, just that it doesn’t exactly agree with the “What's the point of folding and placing your clothes in some kind of composition? Wear the fucking clothes or don't bother.“ philosophy either
we're all here because we bother!

I agree that the whole thing seems absurd, but let’s not pretend we’re all too different—Duke, you’ve spent the last three months putting all your clothes up on mannequins in a specially-lit room just to take photos of them
Duke's photos show the FW pieces perhaps better than Freewheleers catalogs tho. I dig the museum like approach to them, shows some true passion.
Yeah that guy is a professional, he does what he needs to be done to get some profit out of it.
I am glad I have no professional interest whatsoever in clothing/denim, because as soon as it becomes a job it's not fun anymore...5 -
