  1. I found them all, early series on Dailymotion and later series on Vimeo.. it certaily beats the garbage you find on tv in the UK... I also watched Beats, Rhymes & Life last week, the ATCQ docu, it starts off great but i had to turn it off 3/4 thru because the bickering between q-tip and phife was just beyond annoying.

^ I think he got his info wrong on the first toad ep and had to redo it in season 3

That redone toad episode was one of my favourites, it was great!..  the ultra lsd was brilliant too, i read about Amanda Feilding years ago.. also liked the guy in the devil costume from the meth episode, really charismatic

  3. It's happened @Dr_Heech.. just as you predicted

On the last day of school.. unbeknown to me, my kid said  "Mum, can you get me some baggy ass jeans for tomorrow, i'm going to a party" what?.. tomorrow??.. erm.. i can probably get you a pair from H&M.. which she did and he wore them with his AJ1s and Eastlogue hoodie.. He looked pretty dope! .. they were a good cut for him, albeit shoddy af!

I said what the hell, i sat you down only a couple of months ago to refresh your wardrobe and suggested jeans, you said "i hate jeans, they're uncomfortable"  he said "well, i can change my mind".. fair enough, i'm not complaing.. then last night after tea he said the magic words.. "Dad, you know a thing or two about clothing don't you".. i certainly do, what do you want to know?.. tell me what you know about Stussy.. i'll not bore you with the deets but this went on for f'kin ages, i think he lost interest after i started quoting White Men Can't Jump :D.. 40mins of streetwear history later he said "cool, tell me about Gucci?" sorry i know fk'all about Gucci... but y'know, it's a start.

  4. I've just finished Season 1 of Hamilton's Pharmacopeia

He's a chemist with a love of psychoactive substances.. he travels the world, meeting the cooks, breaking down their chemical compounds and occasionally testing some .. all in the name of research.

Ep06^ was particularly enjoyable.. focusing on, Alexander Shulgin and Darrell Lemaire's work isolating the mdma molecule and the period before it hit the streets when it was supplied to psychotherapists for the treatment of anxiety and such... something we only seem to be catching up with now 50+ yrs later.

I'm going to start season 2 today.. it looks toad-lickingly good!

  5. I've got no sympathy.. I've been searching for a 29.4mm Syncros Hardcore seatpost for nearly 4yrs :D

I'm not surprised, after the lockdown boom.. the bike industry here in the UK/Eu is fucked, Signa Sports the parent company who own some of our largest online bike retailers have put itself into voluntary administration.. which would be good news for the smaller bricks n' mortar stores, tragedy is.. most of them have already been put out of business by these online behemoths.

  6. Just Ringle.. from the early - mid 90s before Geoff Ringle was bought out by Sun... that's when all the fun stopped!

The guy behind G-Sport George French is from my home town.. well city, he was studying engineering at Sheffield Uni and making BMX parts in his shed.. He used to drive around in an old white Ford Escort van full of BMX's with G-Spot written down the side in green 😎

He had the ideas and practical side of his business down but never the legal side.. he would bring new products to market without the trademarking properly in place, international licensing and such.. only to see his hard work reverse engineered and copied.. i seem to remember one of his revolutionary new hubs was copied and the company who stole his idea issued him with a cease and desist order forcing him to stop making his own damn hub. 😠

I think he's teamed up with Odyssey nowadays... good luck to him!

  7. I think i've gone full cycle y'know.. i came here for my love of denim (as we all did) but also a love of fashion, a love of vintage, a love of functional clothing and a love of tech fabrics.. i always recall @Flash fit pics around 2009.. the dopest denim one could imagine, worn with Vans and a sweater from Next which his then girlfriend bought.. zero fks given for anything other than his jeans and this was sufu at it's core..

I like the rest of us embraced the 'superdenim lifestyle'.. Ok i never went full tilt with sufu approved socks, t-shirts, jewelry and such but most of my clothing was sufu approved brands between the 2012 and 2020 period.. often accepting discomfort from heavy-ass outerwear if it meant my outfit looked dope.. well dope, according to my perspective and a small group of internet weirdos, i'd pass hill walkers in the Peak District while i was dressed in deck jacket, watch cap, ww2 denim and hand made leather boots.. like a f'kin comedy sketch!.. anyway, i think i'm over that now, my love of denim hasn't gone away but the sufu costume at the cost of my bank balance, comfort and functionality is long gone... :D

As the year came to an end, I saw that I was selling faster than I was buying. I wondered: what do I want to buy next year? I can't think of anything. And there doesn't seem to be anything more to sell. Am I approaching a magical balance and realisation of happiness? No way, I know I'm not. Some sneaky urge to buy will come most surely.🙄

Rejoice! .. it's only taken you 2yrs of sufu membership to get to this state of equillibrium.. it took me a good 10 for others, it's an ongoing battle.

  9. It's all a bit subjective because some folks run hot and some folks run cold.. some folks can be layered up and shivering while others are wearing shorts and a hoody.. I'm somewhere in between where my core runs hot but my extremities are always cold even in the summer...
I find with a lot of these heavy lined jackets, they're perfect for being stood still outside in the cold but as soon as i start moving around i'm overheating...

I used to have a Woolrich Arctic Parka.. which was amazingly cozy when stood still outside in 0°C or below but as soon as i start walking.. i'm overheating so i have to unzip it.. which is no issue unless it's drizzling (which it often is in the north of England during jacket weather season) then you're getting your mid-layer wet making the moisture/sweat issue even worse... It was the same with the RMC N1.. I found the Alpaca luxurious and cozy warm but where it made contact with my neck.. it was always sweaty and uncomfortable and the heavy outer fabric couldn't wick the sweat away.

Nowadays.. if it's cold and dry, i'll wear a lightweight down jacket.. nothing better imo for cold blue sky days, if it's wet i'll wear directional fabric, if it's cold and wet, i'll wear a wafer down vest or layers with directional over the top... why not be warm, dry and comfortable rather than being uncomfortable while dressing like a sweaty 1940s sailor.
  10. I watched a film earlier called Incredible But True.. a couple bought a house which has a secret time portal in the basement.. if you went through it 12hrs passed but you became 3 days younger.. his boss at work had an electronic penis fitted which he controlled via an app on his phone but when it broke, he couldn't get anyone in the Eu to fix it so he had to return to Japan for a firmware update.. his wife descended into a mental breakdown after she'd been through the suburban time tunnel too many times.. turns out she was full of ants?. then the guys electronic penis caught fire while he was driving his car and he crashed trying to pat it out so the guy who bought the house just went fishing in the end.. it was good!
