Going on a 10-days-trip visiting family and friends. Deciding which jeans to take along...the struggle is real!
My thoughts are with you. Difficult times.
I just went through exactly the same thing. First I couldn't decide between slim and straight so i was forced into taking a pair of each. And then I couldn't decide between semi retired nicely worn in pair and newer work in progress pair so I was forced into taking a pair of each.
Clearly my family would think I was mad if they could tell the difference between any of the four pairs of jeans. But I appreciate them all as individuals.
Worked out ok in the end.

i'm 175cm and ~59kg and i'd feel comfortable buying most things in M/46
I'm 179 and 75 and short arms (i am aware I'm not selling it well here) and short torso and big arse and thighs and skinny calves and long legs.
I never find the height / weight thing much use to be honest cos so much depends on how the weight is distributed around the height. Feel lost without a good set of measurements to obsess over.

^ same.. I have three close-fitting Iron Heart T-shirts I wear with an IH "shacket" – the T's are M, while the jacket is an XXL. No way I could fit anything as bulky as a sweatshirt under that thing. Think I bought it off eBay; you can bet I paid close attention to the measurements and skulked around the "extinct" pages of the IH forum...
Yeah it's weird, now I know what I like things to measure, I think I find it easier to get it right buying online, than I do trying something hurriedly in a shop.

xs-l ? your body type seems much more interesting
Put me in that category as well... I'm usually a medium, but small in one iron heart shirt and xl in nine lives

True
Although sometimes I find life's simpler when I don't like 100% of a MF collection

The plane has 3 propellers, two of which have 3 blades, and one has only 2 blades. Also, it has a crew made up of cats. That makes no sense.
(Obviously tongue in cheek. I love the design.)
Those are the sort of imperfections that crept in during WW2. By '47 all propellers had the same number of blades, and cats very rarely piloted planes

Ha! I confess to being the first to do it, but this is going to result in a wave of sizing questions. I hope you’ve cleared your diary Volvo...
I basically spent June looking at those sizing charts and measuring things. I'm not going through all that again. I'm getting a 32 and when they come I'll either eat pie or sand bits off my body until they fit.
Hope it's pie

I'm 5 10 and 32 in okis and I went 32
Although I usually get these things wrong so maybe that shouldn't reassure you :-)

Thanks! Also a big thank you to you and others whose advice on sizing was very helpful, even if I did dilute it with a dose of wishful thinking & waistline nostalgia

Hi Volvo, please include me in the list? I've just ordered a slightly optimistic 32. Representing UK although I sit on my ass all day so I doubt I'll trouble the leaderboards

My wife's 77bsp, picked up from the awesome @Danny @ Rivet & Hide a couple of years back. Washes : lots. Wears : lots and lots.

Here's a horribly brazen plug on behalf of my wife, who is reluctantly selling a new (soaked, but unworn) pair of Flat Head Balder.
Size 31, soaked twice in lukewarm water for an hour or so, so you might get a little more shrink out of them. Purchased from Self Edge.
Unfortunately she is the wrong size for them, and after some deep consideration we've agreed that it probably has to be the Flat Heads that leave. So grab yourselves a bargain, as they say.
Denim is of course lovely, and they'll fade beautifully, so much so that I've tried my best to squeeze into them, but my ass simply ain't that dainty any more.
Really hope someone picks these up, as [a] they deserve a good home and some good fades and the in-laws won't be impressed if I have to keep the jeans and sell the wife.

Never washed my XL. Wore it for 139 days. Then I sold it and bought a Large for a snug fit instead.
Do you have a 33 as well? If so, how do the sizes compare - do you take the same size?

Not sure that we're helping to narrow it down here, Max :-)Exactly. And you might consider the 666-UHR as well - IMO the nicest of the IH denims. A 19 oz LHT option also exists. You might pick the one that works best for you.
BTW, the new upcoming 777 will also offer a slim tapered fit.

The denim of the 666 is nicer, IMO.
Could always consider the 555-02 - then it's just down to cut?

Challenge time.
I'm quite liking the silver heels, it turns out. Although they're hell after half a mile or so.

I was talking about the jeans here but for clarity I'm sure it applies to the family as well
