Ryo said to me the waist will stretch by 3-5 cm. It seems to be true according to your feedbacks on big size, but will it be the same with smaller size ? I mean, if there is less fabric, will it stretch the same ? I think talking with percentage is more accurate
Probably true, although in real life there may be more variation between pairs & between washing routines than inaccuracies arising from this
Also you have to factor in how much belly someone is trying to squeeze in, and how determined they are to squeeze it in. Based on this I am expecting about 25cm stretch from a 320 -

I hope this won't f**k up the general good mood we've been enjoying on this thread so far.
Yeah, let's not let it do that. Totally understand those who don't want to keep with it, that's fair enough, but we'll still end up with a good contest I reckon, after swaps and stretches. And I'm in as long as I can get them on.

If the waist is pretty high, then the smaller waist measurement might not be as much of an issue, right?
(asking for a friend who’s nervous about his one wash)
I'm hoping this too
Just measured my fh5003 again, which are closest in rise. They're 33 and loose. The rise makes a difference. I CAN DO THIS.
Gonna have a muffin top like a mushroom but hey, my taps aff days are a long way back so no one needs to know

Front Rise 13 3/4" / 13"
Although with a short torso and a rise this long I might need a snorkel

Right I'm up for the fight
If I can get them buttoned I'm not taking them off again for eighteen months

My tagged size 32 measure 16 1/2” raw at the waist
Feck, these things are gonna cut me in half
All in a good cause tho

Though I should have gone a size bigger it seems. I can just button these up...
Yeah I think I'm gonna be in that boat. Had big intentions of laying off the cheese and beer when I ordered and that just hasn't happened at all

^ Your Jean - is that your missus?
I guess if we were really serious about this obsession we'd all make sure our partners were called Jean

I'd say that 30 degrees is what's constitutes as a cold wash on a domestic machine anyways.
Ah ok, true enough
(I'm in Scotland. 30 degrees here counts as extreme heatwave)

I think (and someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong) that the TCB OW proces is a 30 degree wash
I'm absolutely no expert but this post
...says cold water?
I ended up adding an inch to my OW hemming request, in case they keep shrinking a little
But if that doesn't happen it's more cuffs I guess

Great pictures @Uncle Karl. Really exciting! I hope you enjoy the jeans.

At least you can't accuse us of being into fast fashion. I genuinely intend to wear out everything I own and it's not my fault if I die before I'm 347.

I order them by brands but in no special order
I've got two piles (way less nice) - worn and waiting. And I end up sorting them by what I think I'm likely to wear soonest. So currently it's light loose ones floating to the top for summer, but that will soon have to change...
And the current live ones hang on a bedpost1 -

Completed my "Denim Corner" recently
This is so good.
Maybe a step too far but... How do you order them? Alphabet, weight, age, rise, repro year, leg twist amount...?

Living on a remote Scottish island for more than 6 months make you realise how little one actually needs.
Certainly not 200 pairs of jeans
A 200 pair rotation on a Scottish island makes sense to me. Gives pair #1 time to dry out before they need worn again.

Mrs. Lefty’s small but fantastic collection
Nice!
Madre Padre has restricted herself to slimmer cuts from 3sixteen and PBJ so far, but damn can she fade a pair of jeans
I think she'd say it's because she does more around the house but I maintain I'm simply more efficient in my movements

I have never got on with the rmc fit. Buzz works better for me. But my favourite so far is Nine Lives. Not super heavy, love the cut. Can't speak for longevity really but doing fine after 18 months.

I love the fabric so much that I’ll just continue to wear it unbuttoned as an over shirt
I'm on the brink of this as well. If I'm buttoned up I can't breathe in too forcefully

Spending some quality time with these before I desert* them for the tcb contest
Can't really understand how @Danny @ Rivet & Hide has any left in stock, to be honest
* probably won't manage this, which is why finishing in the top 190 of the tcb contest would look like success for me

May be that the raw people on here are washing more strongly than TCB? There's been a lot of talk of dryers and hot soaks.
