What is it with people (mainly Americans it seems) and tumble dryers?
To be fair I'm as British as the Queen* and I've tumble dried jeans when I want them to get smaller. although it's never made the difference I wanted it to.
* although she's maybe a bit German? I'm actually as British as having an argument in a taxi queue with a kebab in your pocket

Nice fit, good luck with the stretch!

Turns out I put on more iso weight than I thought (the word is 'denial'). I think if I lost 10lbs the fit would be perfect. Guess that's my next goal this spring
With you there!
i can see this turning from a denim competition into some sort of lockdown weight loss boot camp

Anyone with OW done a pre soak?
curious how much additional shrink you got?I washed at 30, no dryer. Lost a couple cm in the leg. I’d already stretched the waist a bit before washing so it’s tricky to know if they shrank more there

Mine were the same. Now they’re stretched a tiny bit past the chart size though. They stretch and if the waist is your only worry it might work?
i guess they’re smaller everywhere so I’m getting a slimmer pair, not that sweet looser fit, but that’s ok. The waist was the only place they were wrong; the rest is just different
They fit kind of like my FH3005 now but with the rise on steroids. That’s good for me.

I washed them exactly like I’ll always be washing them, to get them used to it. Then I went round the waist bit by bit with the button open and stretched them. Then I put them on damp and fastened them and wiggled round lots.

yeah this is true! Although this pair has taught me to do it in centimetres (or millimetres maybe!), there’s been that much measuring involved

This is an anecdotal experience, but in college I had a pair that were baggy except super tight waist for some reason. I wore them with the top button unbuttoned on a trip down to Rocky Point, Mexico (which is now like a resort area, but at the time you could drive your car right onto the beach and sleep in it) where I drank Coronas and vodka with fresh picked limes from my friends house in Arizona for a week. We realized after that we didn't really have any food. By the end of that I could easily button the waist.
PLAN
(Maybe except the coronas)

@Uncle Karl @mariano_vittori nice fits!
@garden gnomes in space in case it helps I washed my OW yesterday at 30 then manually stretched the waist bit by bit while damp. They’re now just over the OW chart measurements and I reckon they will work fine for me

Yes, couple of cm in length but the waist didn’t get any worse thank goodness

Wondering if that waist will permanently change the location of any internal organs?

Yay! Found my inverse bag twin
(Mine are the other way around, which means my number is very hard to read. HOPING the pocket bag fades and the number doesn't, so it comes out like some sort of double stealth arc)

He's covered all the other animals now, I reckon? Time for a 6-part series about denim obsessives

Have you other one washers washed again or plan to do so?
I just did that in the interests of science (!) and to force me to not wear them
the leg shrunk a couple of cm. The waist was about the same, although maybe that's cos my belly threatened it when I tried them on earlier
Might be worth a wash to shift any leftover shrink?

I have no issue at all with the (waist) sizing and now I'm afraid that maybe I should go with 30, I hope this pair won't stretch that much, cheers!

Something seems to have gone wrong with the raw pairs, given that there seem to be very few fit issues with the OW but a lot (and significant ones) with the raw.
I'd guess the denim and cut are the same though? So it's maybe just down to the washing?
Maybe the TCB wash is gentler. I'm tempted to wash my OW to see how it ends up after my usual routine.
They were on the very edge of what I could put on, and smaller than the OW size chart. But they have already given a bit in the waist just taking the pics. I think they'll stretch in the waist, and I hope the rest stays just as it is. Just not sure if they'll keep shrinking, is all, but that's one for the future.

#108 open for (taking care of) business
Bag combo: nice, very happy with that
I can close the button! I CAN CLOSE THE DAMN BUTTON!
...with only mild internal injury...
OK my current waist should probably be in a 33, not a 32. Maybe a 34, depending on how much these are gonna stretch. My top block and thighs are quite happy with the 32 though, so I dunno... I think I'm tempted to stick at these and hope that they stretch quite a bit and don't collapse inwards after six washes like (say) pioneer denim seems to
Also health-wise my future waist should probably be in a 32 so I'm going to focus on that.
LOVE THIS PATCH
I know we don't buy jeans for the patch but it makes me smile
Not even going to try to review the denim because there are plenty way more knowledgable than me. Enough to say that it makes me think of one of those days when you wake up and it's sunny and you're not sure where the day is going to go, except that it's going to be somewhere good. (Not sure how best to explain this feeling to those of you who live in places where it's sunny more than 3 days a year, just go with me)
Now to put them away until Sep 1st. Dunno how I'm going to keep my hands off them. Maybe fedex them to myself a couple of times, I dunno
Good luck all. Given my usual inability to fade things, I might use these as my final submission pictures as well. But it'll be a good ride.
