Hot wash and hot dry will help with pucker action. But that’s how I wash all my jeans. the dryer won’t hurt the patch. wife had adjusted setting on the wash machine and I now have some beef jerky tags on my FW jeans. It’s all good. Looks like vintage jeans to me. have fun. Break the rules. Hot wash, hot dry, wash once every couple weeks, iron the leather patch if you wanna shrink it.

The newer denim that’s on my S601xx is definitely much hairier than the 43 and 47 I own. It’s a cool denim. @lee porter I believe the 37 is another new denim. But @Duke Mantee will chime in to confirm.

I agree. My 47 are 33 my S601xx are 33 my 43 are 33 and my 601b are 33. Take your normal size.

@MJF9 @Duke Mantee also keep in the mind the 27 has kind of short sleeves. I have long arms and they’re almost too short. Whenever it gets washed I hope it shrinks very little. Hoosier told me that the shorter length and wider arms on the 27 is typical of that era.

@AlientoyWorkmachine what’s your height and weight? I’m 5’11” and 200lbs and a 42 in my FW 1927 jacket. I went off the measurements available and was worried it might be a bit small but ended up being perfect.

All warehouse use cotton stitching as far as I know. As someone who blows out the crotch in all my jeans I found the warehouse to only last two months before almost all the crotch stitching has disintegrated. Haha

$76k for a pair of vintage jeans…. I’m not a vintage buyer/seller so I’m curious. Say you buy these jeans what’s the next step? Bragging rights? Are their many people willing to spend that much or more for vintage jeans? the whole durangovintagefest vids on IG showing people absolutely going nuts to grab as much as they can out of huge mounds of clothing just has me a bit disgusted. Maybe this is how the vintage world has been for years? But it’s just sad to me honestly. Rant over.
