  1. Too much or not enough?

Also, the stitching on both the front and back pockets aren't just decorations. Another layer is behind the stitching so pretty much layer on layer. I like it a lot really.

  2. Yes, the shirt went through a couple of wash cycles. Haven't noticed any shrinkage from that. Sizing is weird with me since I go on a bulk/cut cycle since I work out. I'm usually between a bigger M and a medium L if that makes any sense. This is my only samurai item and Stevenson and Mister Freedom tops I am between sizes (M & L).

    Measured Self Edge guide:

    Chest: 20 inches

    Shoulder: 16.5

    Sleeve: 24

    Length: 27

Only weird thing is the shoulder since I actually need at least 18+ inches but oddly can fit into these. Maybe it's the placement or opening that made a difference.

  3. Measured Blue in green after a wash and dry. Fits fine with belt but without it feels loose which I think it's because of the higher rise. My 714 waist feels fine without one but these definitely need one.

    Size32

    Waist: 17.5

    Rise: 10.75

    Thigh: 12.5

    Leg Opening: 8

    Inseam: 33

  4. Blue Nemo: Bought mine from 2nd. Think they were already one washed so can't speak to shrinkage but I do agree it looks good and I picked up a size 40. Would you want measurements?

  5. I agree in part with what you're saying but again it has to be emphasized we trust branded jeans because they stood our test. Bespoke or MTM aren't much liked around here because 1) price 2) unfamiliarity. Levis bespoke and 3x1 are pricey and/or mediocre for what they offer. It's one thing to have a bespoke suit but a bespoke jean? Ehhhh. Would you pay $1200 from 3x1 for jeans or about $450+ from Levis?

MTM is a bit different. As some offer really low prices with maybe decent denim but are just unfamiliar and most aren't willing to take a chance. But yeah, narrative is something that is big with "heritage" brands/marketing and some people take it way too seriously.

  6. Dang, was hoping for a special denim and not just details. The "three finalists are invited to design a special collaboration model with the Denimio team and receive a pair for themselves" sounds pretty neat though.

  7. Oh, samurai and their gimmicks. Still interested in what they turn out though. Sooo there's an oni vs samurai, ooe contest, and a possible flat head x rjb. Hmmmmm

    edit: a correction

  8. I currently have a size 33 3012. The leg opening will definitely open up if you hem to it a 31. Washed, tumbled dried, and hemmed my current inseam for me is 28 inches with a 7.5 inch leg opening.

  9. Truth be told I understand why people would be upset by something like this, but yeah Ed's like that crazy uncle who says crazy shit but can pull through. Plus, it's not like there's any foul done especially since there wasn't a deadline and it wasn't confirmed that this project would work even with the necessary support.

  10. Received the DMOs from apba1166 and soaked them several times. Will post up pics tomorrow but wow this denim is really nice. Definitely some nice nep to it. First samurai's too so this should be fun. Anyone notice that the buttons are smaller than usual? Maybe it's just me though.

  11. 710dmo size 34 just finished drying. I did a lukewarm 1 hr soak. I'm real glad I sized up because they shrank quite a bit in the top block. They seemed to stretch out in the 15mins I was wearing them though. I would suggest starting with a cool/warm soak if you're afraid of the shrink. Going to get them hemmed at Blue Owl tomorrow. I'll post some fit pics tonight.

Also these things hemorrhage indigo. I was leaving streaks of indigo on my bathroom floor. Watch where you sit!

What were your measurements for the thigh and waist post-soak?
