  1. i havent noticed much stretching in mine but the denim is softening up. only 80 wears though. i still have to flop around to get them around my ass but its easier to do so now.

mine are WG 30 and im around a 31" true waist

  2. How can I prevent the fly from blowing off my elephant 2s? Does he crotch stitching last long?

Sorry I know this has been talked about but my research hasn't brought up much specifically on this topic.

how long have you been wearing them? dont for the buttons to be buttoned so quickly and stretch the button holes. you gotta let the denim itself soften up and become more pliable or else youre gonna tear seams.

i wore mine at home for the first week unbuttoned while stretching the button holes(partially because i didnt want the waist to stretch and to soften them up so i can wear them out) then i was able to get the top two buttons easily but the bottom two werent budging, especially the lowest but it didnt really matter because it also made it easier to pee.

randomly 2 months in to wearing them i decided to try for the 3rd button and to my surprise it worked so now i button that one too.

Yeah they still have plenty of life in them, but the contest is almost over and I'm ready to wear another pair of jeans.

I want to see what the Franks will do, but I bet they fade slow.

    Thanks for your input.

i dont understand lol you should wear them till theyre at their peak fade and then maybe wear them less so you can preserve it in the nice fade status. dont overdo it like joshyles pair, imo they looked best around their 9-16 month transition (closer to the 9) but at the 21 month theres too much indigo loss throughout (probably a drastic change from his wash). i understand that hes in the heavyweight 2 year competition though so he 'has to' wear them to death. i feel he couldve won already during his 9-16 month mark.

  3. Ok, I can't hold out that long...Makes no sense to leave a 21 oz pair in the shelf until the heat starts ;)

    this

better off having people warm up and get used to their jeans and have them soften up over the colder months so theyll be more comfy in the hot seasons instead of jumping straight into the blazing sun in heavy denim.

you could always start the next comp now so every comp afterwards will allow the cold weather break in period and just have this original comp end as it was intended to in march.

  4. 2 months before you can even button you jeans all the way?! If it takes more than a day (maybe 2) for you to be able to button your pants, you're buying pants that are too small. No disrespect, but why not just buy a pair that fits in the first place?

the jeans fit fine you can see in my sig. it's that since the denim is so thick and stiff the button holes themselves needed to soften up

went to try on a pair of indigo power stretch's (didnt have black power stretch there) the fabric is very comfy and stretchy, i plan on using them as dress/work pants. had to size up 2 to a 32 to get the waist and thighs to fit. the thighs dont actually fit but the stretch accommodates for that and it fits pretty nice and not painted on

your complaint about the texture doesnt really work for the ele2s. their selling point is that theyre thick and feel like elephant skin, which is how a plain pair seems more like as opposed to a slubby pair

  5. were you forcing the buttons to button before the denim softened and stretched? thats how most of the people with ele2s burst the button seam. i was wearing them unbuttoned for the first week at home and then only the top for a while then top 2 for a while. then 2 months in i decided to try the 3rd button too and it went in nicely and theres no unnecessary tension on the seams

  6. hey anybody have the black power stretches? fading qualities?

do they feel like youre wearing jeggings....? especially if youve got decent sized quads?

it would be my first time trying skinny guy because i think the stretch can make up for the last of thigh room (11 while i need atleast 11.5)

thighs seem like theyll be 'skin tight' and then straight from the knee down

i wouldnt mind a fit like shinobis2000 diors

  7. Thanks for the input to my previous post guys. I think I'm going to go with Skinny Guys and just get them hemmed/chain stitched. There's just too much length to my liking with a 37 inch inseam. I wasn't too thrilled at the idea of tapering anything or sizing down in WG's but I had to ask. The more pics I see of WG's and "non-skinny" jeans I see the more I'm beginning to like them, seeing pics of everyone's fades, honeycombing, etc. makes me want to get a pair sooner rather than later.

weird guys end up being 'skinny' or slim/form fitting to guys with big quads but i guess on a skinnier person theyll look kinda roomy
