  1. Sick combss. Anw, just got my elephants. 3rd day of wearing it. My fingers are sore from buttoning them up. They get easier over time do they?

Yeah they do. I wore them around the house for a week without buttoning them at all while also stretching the holes with pens. Then only the top 2 buttons for 2 months which was fine but I recently just tried the 3rd button and it wasn't too hard so I button that one too now. I dont do the last because my buttons are lined up weird and don't want to rip seams like other people have

  2. im not saying follow tate and yokos to a T because its obviously generic charts but look at the denim geek measurements. the tag and waist are the same.

theyre 'vanity sized' but its also because they know youre not wearing it at your actual waist. for regular people who have hips bigger than their waist, the tagged waist will be their actual waist but the measured waist will fit where they actually sit on you because theyre low rise

  3. terrible advice for the most part. the e2 denim is so stiff that most people go down only 1 or 2. so a 29 might be really tight for the first few months of wear until they break in, and then could be perfect. a 28 would be insane.

actually with his thigh size he could probably wear sg ele2s if he wants the thighs to be slim instead of roomy on him

When you say down by 1 or 2, are you referring to tagged size or actual waist size? Anw, does the tagged size runs true to waist size or are they larger by 2 inch? Very confused because denimgeek & blueowl state differently.

  4. Hey guys. Need some advise if I should get sz 29 for Elephant 2 wg. Here are my measurements.

    Waist- 31

    Upper thigh - ~21-21.5

im sure you can even do a 28 and just stretch the waist depending on how snug you want the fit to be. 29s would be slightly loose on your thighs

  5. was the question still for me? S500JX-LR. And I don't think I get what fades you are talking about :D

oh you said sda made a lht/rht's and i wanted to know what model those were because i thought yours were those. unless you meant to write samurais instead of sda

i mean like this, the diagonal/twisting creases along the inseam

  6. i thought you all might appreciate this picture from our blog of a couple from winnipeg who came in to buy a.p.c.'s on their honeymoon.

the dude is in a size 28 new standard and the girl is in a size 29 petit standard.

lol thats kinda sad that his gf is bigger than him....

edit: meant to imply hes skinny and not that the gf is fat since im offending all you people

  7. SDA also did a RHT/LHT jeans.

And I don't think there was a "problem" with the whiskers.

My pair at 5 months of wear:

actually i didnt mean whiskers, i meant the twist fades from the inner thigh you get when you externally rotate your legs like when you sit cross legged or have one leg out.

    what model are those?

Those weird or skinny guys? Really diggin that fit

    weird guys, ty

  8. ^ little skinny, but that's all personal taste, they'll stretch some.

also, doesn't it seem odd that both legs would twist inward since the twill is running the same direction on both of them? shouldn't they both go clockwise or counterclockwise and not one doing one thing and the other another?

they do do that, its just that mine are frank2s thats why that happens

maybe n&f should make a jean where the left leg is right hand twill and the right leg is left hand twill (or the other way around). i know there was just all that talk about gimmicky jeans, but i think it'd make for an interesting pair

the first thing you said is the right way to do it. samurais made one in the latter sense and it didnt work well for the whiskers because the twill went a long with how the leg rotates instead of opposite. when it goes opposite then theres more tension since theyre going against each other

  9. twisting outwards seems fine, mine just always twists inwards. i thought frank2s wont twist either because it essentially is broken twill too with its alternating weave but they both twist inwards.
