Haha..my striated vastus lateralis is insulted. I'm 5'7", a lean 175 and can squat 350 for reps (beyond parallel.) So yes, I do have muscular legs. Actually wish my ass was bigger. I think I'd look like a wanker in the skinny guys.
maybe youre measuring wrong then? where normally if youre measuring your quads youd measure it half way or lower down your thigh but for jeans they measure right at the crotch
if you can try them on in person that would be best

Quick fit question from a new guy:
Looking at either N&F Slim Guy or Regular Guy.
Me: somewhat muscular legs, actual waist measurement 35", thighs are a little over 21'' around.
I like the look of the slim guy but there's more thigh room in the regular guy. Recommended size/style?
Many thanks!
You'd fit the skin guys fine. You don't have muscular legs, I have a 31" waist and 23" thighs. You probably just have a huge butt which makes it hard to pull over giving the illusion of big thighs

^^ though i'm not sure how i feel about guys lifting up their shirts like that...
101's, ~8 months of on and off wear, mostly for biking
notsureifsrs....
hes obviously lifting up his shirt so we can see how it fits, do you really think he walks around daily with his shirt up like that?

For a waste of that size your thighs aren't particularly large and there is a plethora of brands and styles to choose from, so you shouldn't have any difficulty in getting something. Just don't size down too much.
this, with your measurements you can fit a ton of stuff because your thighs arent your limiting factor. youve just sized down way too much (4 sizes....really? lol)

not to hate but the above poster is probably thinking the natural indigo version (you can tell by the stitching colour) because the indigo version is only $140 from tateandyoko
http://tateandyoko.c...ket-indigo.html
also would be nice if you post measurements
p2p
shoulder
sleave
length
arm hole
etc

these got more thigh room & about 1.5"/+ up taper from knee to hem:
Eternal 811
Fullcount 0105/1101
Momotaro 201
ONI "Blue" fit
PBJxx 003/009
Samurai 510/002jp
Skull 5507
Studio D'Artisan SD101
Sugarcane 1955 "Stovepipe"
Warehouse 660
how would a taper starting higher up help? besides making the taper look as drastic, then youd have to size up some more. if you squat then your lower quads will be huge too and a lot of the times thats the part that causes people to size up.
Why? It's just going to make your ass and hips look bigger. part of good fashion sense is knowing what cut works on your body. Tight, slim, and tapered, doesn't work on you.
some people have small feet and dont want the hem of the jean to cover their entire shoe. also well tapered fits only look loose on those who dont squat and to those that do squat they look like a slim/skinny jean because it keeps close to the contours of a person with good sized quads and the taper keeps it close to the calves

so loose weave = cooler because the air passes through
and tight weave = hotter because the air is trapped?
or
loose weave = hotter because of all the hot air hitting your legs
tight weave = cooler because it blocks heat from getting close to you
how does one know how tight the weave is in their denim?

^ those look perfect, everything will stretch out. stuff the thighs with towels or something to stretch them when youre not wearing them

Does anyone know the approximate shipping weight of a 14.5oz pair of jeans (size 32)?
Is it over 1 kg?
M.F, can't tell if you're serious but from my experience they seldom hit the 1kg mark. usually approx 800-900g. they have on occasion reached 1kg though, but that depends on how you pack them.
I post loads of eBay jeans, and they nearly always come in around 800g (but hey, they're often Levi's and everyone knows they're made of tissue paper). I use the plastic mailers, which cut down the weight bigtime.
seems like it would be around 1kg/2.2lbs
seeing how 32oz (N&F) claims to be ~5lbs so if it converts out proportionally 14.5oz = ~2.2lbs or 1kg

buying tts doesn't change the vanity sizing . . . a tagged 28 will still have a 30" waist, but you should talk to jay at blueowl to make sure the pair that you order actually has those measurements.
since these jeans are made by hand, there is size variation between all of them - hence some pairs running big/small in the same size. so jay might have a 28 that actually measures to a 29/29.5/30/30.5, so if you email him with your EXACT size, he can help find a pair to best match it.
because of the raw denim and the nature of these jeans, they are vanity sized (1 inch for skinnyguys, 2 inches for weirdguys), and then stretch as they break in on top of that. so a pair of weirdguys that stretch 1" after they are broken in will actually measure 3" larger in the waist from whatever the tagged size is.
a 30" waist but it doesnt even sit on the waist with its rise

if anyone has more pics of some uniqlo fades, it would be awesome to see....
just saying.
Mine are only a couple of months old so nothing pic worthy yet.
since you asked so nicely here are my ~30 month uniqlo s003s from 2009
its actually kinda wrinkled right now because i left it under a pile of clothes recently and it kinda flattened out the left combs too. maybe if i wear it again randomly i could reset the combs and shit but w/e for now

Hey guys. I found a medium Levi's 78500 denim jacket at home. Can you guys tell me about this model?
I noticed that the arm hole is humongous, it measures 12 inches. It's as big as the thighs for my jeans! Does it shrink and should I soak it if I decide to wear it?

Will never buy another set of N&F. They are the worst. Customer service is crap. I ordered a pair of 32oz from then through my local store back in October they said they should be ready in December. I called up to ask about them and there response was just wait you are lucky you are even getting a pair. We only made 138 pairs. I gave them my money before they even started product what the hell do you mean i should be lucky to get a pair. I just received them last week march 13th they are size 36 unsanforized. I measured waist and it is a 33.5", and length is 33". I had to return them, this is the second pair of denim I got from them that was a special product. I did a pair of there custom jeans last year. I ordered them in January, when Brandon was in town. He said they would be shipped to us early march. I finally received them in early July.
I will never buy a thing from this company. If anyone wants some N&F I am selling all of mine. 6 pairs.
I will give you 5 dollars for the whole lot...
ill join in another $5 for 3 each split between him and me
what are you selling anyways? and how did you do your custom pair?
aww fuck just noticed youre a 36 waist...time to bulk up

The shirtlessness is obviously there to show the fit. I don't understand why people cover half the jean while showing 'fit pics' when we can't even see how they look on you
IIRC hes hoping they'll stretch out and fit like how most jeans would

I really want to try on a pair of SL-100. I wish someone in London carried them. I would just order from SE or 3Sixteen directly but 1) I would need them hemmed to a 32 which would stop me from being able to return them if they didn't fit properly 2) May have to pay extortionate duties 3) How do you guys buy jeans online without trying them on?
tons of measurements, questions and research all leading up to a very exciting purchase

there are other muscular people who wear N&F like,
he just gets the waist tailored in to fit him. he has to go TTS or upsize but his waist is only 30 and these are 30 (so +2). the picture looks very painted on because it was a fit pic of him deciding if he should keep it to stretch the thighs

just spent the last couple hours going through this and the double volante thread and i was wondering has anyone gotten the 19cm cut? wondering how the finish product looks

NYC folks, I need your advice. By the time I found the Tweed Fills on sale they did not have my size left in the WG, so I got the slim guy. Ok with the top fit, but not loving the 17.5" leg opening at the cuff. I would like to narrow this to 16". My local tailor is reasonable, but not great with jeans.
Is there anyone in NY you would trust to do this alteration and is not very expensive.
i think alteration is a bad idea.
change the shape of the jean. just my cents
i dont think its a bad idea especially since he was looking for a WG to begin with, he'd essentially be making the slim guy into a weird guy to get his perfect fit
Has anyone else thought about taking the thick ass leather patch from the elephant 2s and putting it in a pocket instead? haha!
w....t...f? lol
i have thought of a couple things though. one was carving/branding my own leather patch and the other is wondering why didnt they change the girl in the leather patch to a zombie/decomposing girl for the frankenstein denims instead of flipping it upside down
