  1. Haters gonna hate, but here goes;

When you realize that doing lunges, going for morning runs and going for bike rides in your jeans with the purpose of creating fades is cheating as the fades won't reflect the wear created by your normal lifestyle.

    - when I'm on my bike because I have to go somewhere and I'm wearing a pair of raws i still smile a litte on the inside though :)

well your jeans are helping you have a better lifestyle ;) win-win

  2. fit on my n&f x oni. great denim in one of my favorite fits. the inseam is crazy short though, kinda surprised by that.

did you hang them by the hems after you soaked them? i heard that helps minimize shrinking cuz it keeps tension on the inseam instead of letting it get completely shrunken up. sounds legit, but not sure if works lol

so has anyone gotten the frank2s yet? or am i the only one whos crazy about it?

  3. 4q61ye.jpg

glow in the dark weird guys

~5 months old, ~2.5 months wear

(taken on a go pro so excuse some distortion)

    lol nice string belt (Y)

and its not really 5 months 'old' if theres only 2.5 months wear right? or else you would include all the time it was being processed and being at the store

  4. RedCores.jpg

Those were worn for about 5 months? The contrast of red becomes more apparent with more wear obviously.

THANKS! Liking them more than I thought I would.

hold on, i thought those were the red CORES, not red WEFT. the wefts dont fade as prominently iirc

  5. Youre not forced to wash if you don't want to I chose to do so

well im saying 'forced' because if you really want the huge contrasts and fades to stand out to win, wouldnt you need to wash them by the end of the contest?

nomalas- washing might help. I haven't washed mine yet but I have soaked and it did the same thing. It's not that big of a problem and I would assume all raw denim gets like that.

I'm really not feeling those new Franks..I wish it was an indigo color instead of that brown. Even if that color grew on me I'm not sure I could even pull it off. It really sucks because I really like the character of the denim.

Also those scratch n sniff denim looks nice. I would get it for the color rather than the novelty.

TATEandYOKO, could you post up some different pictures...more real life I guess you can say. Trying to get a better idea of the true color.

i actually dont mind the colour since the 2 shades seem to blend in much nicer than it did when it was indigo. seems like a colour you can wear throughout spring/fall

  6. I first classed shipped my Elephant 2′s vie USPS out to the factory on the 11th to get them repaired, after the entire crotch blew out. Still haven’t seen them back yet. icon_sad.gif I’m really upset with how the came apart, the thread just torn right out of the fly all the way down so the part the buttons are on was seperated, and I had to pay to ship them back. If they did it right the first time I’d have saved money and been able to wear them the past three weeks. Smh. :/

do you have pics of them before you sent them out? how long was it worn for before that happened?

  7. Oh okay :) . Yup, any leather cleaning solution is fine as long as it doesn't change the color. I'm using a home-made one.

Most ppl don't clean their patch on denim, I'm just weird. I'm sure it will age well even without it . I oil and clean it becos I can't bear to see more cracks on it.

is it a secret leather conditioner recipe? or can you share? :D i would hate to see it crack too

just got my pair of nf x oni's and it's legit. great darker color and super slubby. best way to describe it is that it almost feels like stiffer linen. you can still get them from barneys for ~$100. it's no longer on their website but if you go down to a store or even call a store, they'll be happy to track a pair down for you on their secret database and have it shipped.

damn a collab for $100? thats awesome, too bad i dont live near any barneys

  8. Looking good! You might want to consider wearing belt to prevent waist to expand furthur more. From pictures, looks very loose now! For combs, I have no idea... Just keep wearing?

Edit: Was looking back at my fade album. My combs settled after 1 week of everyday wear! Looking forward to yours!

yeah im planning to wear a belt when i finally decide to pull off the tags hahaha but they fit pretty well, maybe i just have a big ass from squatting a lot and i only sized down 1 instead of 2. only day 4 of wearing them at home so im expecting them to having nice creases on the combs and stacks next week. i think its also cuz the knee is tighter on you than it is on me so your combs form closer?

i noticed your patch has some indigo on it, howd that get there? and how have you been taking care of it?

  9. ^^ True that. Haha. By the time I have the chance to go there, everything would have been gone.

Anyway, here's an update for my Elephant 2.

Everyday wear, no wash, no soak.

Week 12 (1 more week to 3 months)

  10. Thank you for you input guys, the only option available to me is the Wierd Guy model. The jeans should not be right around the thighs, correct?

what do you mean? i had to size according to my thighs or else i wouldnt fit

whys the sizing on my 30s so messed up (not by a lot but will take more time to break in)? i know the charts are by average but still.

    BiG style

    waist: 15.5

    thigh: 11.5

    knee: 8.5

    hem: 7.5

    inseam: 33

    blueowl

    waist: 16/32

    thigh: 11.75

    knee: 8.3

    hem: 7.25

    inseam: 34.5

main issue being the hem because i have tiny feet (8-8.5/41) and i wanted a good taper so it sits nicely on my shoe. the inseam is fine i guess because it saves me the trouble if i really need to hem it.

  11. Could you comment on how much to size down on the Elephant #2 22oz? I have to order them online and do no have the luxury of trying them on.

for me i chose depending on my quad size lol cuz going by normal conventions i wouldve needed a 29 with a 31 waist but i went with a 30
