Those jeans look bossy as hell, but damn, I don't think I can squeeze into them.

There was a post by a momotaro retailer advertising their webstore. It seems to have been removed.

Love the red dog

I think there were some historical examples of this feature. At least there was some sort of justification for implementing the same feature on the denim project contest jeans

Yes,it doesn't seem BiG has passed on the savings of the weak yen to customers, at least not in an obvious way.

Finn, that shirt roping is killer!

Thanks Kiya. Is the thread you use 100% cotton or a cotton/poly blend?

Dale's Pale Ale has been one of my go-to beers over the past year and a half or so. I moved to New York from the midwest and had never heard of it at the time, but apparently it's made its way to Sweden! American PA/IPA are certainly a different style than most European beer...I hope you enjoyed it!

Roping
in superdenim
Although I loved the roping on my Roys, I was tired of having to roll a huge cuff to wear them so I gave in and got them hemmed at SENY after more than a year of wear and 6-7 washes.
I was worried I wouldn't see any new roping on these since the fabric is almost certainly done shrinking.
However, based on P_K's post it sounds like shrinking doesn't have as much to do with roping as the mechanics of the Union Special.
So, is it likely I will see some more roping again down the line?

Kiya,
Do you load your chainstitch machines with a single type/color of thread for all jeans, or do you switch it out for each pair to match the original hem color? I was under the impression that union specials are difficult to thread, so I'm guessing it is probably the former.
I picked up my Roy jeans today from being hemmed and your guys at SENY did an awesome job. The stitches are super tight and I think the hem looks as good if not better than if Roy had done it himself.

I love type II jackets, and it fits great. What is it?

Just went back a page and saw the picture you posted. That denim looks great!

Several times recently I've snapped out of a fugue state and found myself on this page:
Does anybody have a pair of these, or a pair in this denim?
They have a sort of hodge-podge of details, but I like how they look and the cut is pretty attractive: roomy thighs, medium/high rise, generous in the knee, and a bit of a taper from the to the hem

Roping
in superdenim
I've noticed the same thing with lockstitched hems, even on cheaper jeans, and once wondered the same thing myself regarding the hype of a chainstitch. I have since concluded that I much prefer the shape of the roping achieved from a union special chain stitch.
From my Roy RS04:

Looks like they were careful to make sure the new weaving goes in the same direction as the twill in the existing fabric, which I'm sure helps with the blending. A job well done indeed.

With boots, mostly Cleveland Cavaliers jerseys

100% agree with B_F: my Samurai type III was absolutely worth the $400 I paid for it. If it's possible, I think Samurai denim may look even better on a jacket than it does on jeans. For me, the price was easier to justify than the price I've paid for any of my jeans.

The Red Hawk and Black Hawk are now up on the BiG website. Man, it is really hard to tell that the Red Hawk are Black rather than indigo...

^Agree in general about colored wefts, but gilangaditya's fire elements are an important exception

When I wear new jeans why do I always develop three folds on the outside of my left knee but only two folds on the outside of my right knee?

The jacket looks good. It fits similar to mine: good through the shoulders but too tight in the chest to button comfortably!
