Roping
in superdenim
If anybody ever tells you that roping can't be achieved if you hem after washing, they are wrong.
I had my Roy RS04s hemmed after 15 months of wear and at least 7 washes. I washed them for the first time post hem and this is the result:
I think the roping is even stronger than it was on the original hem.

I can't really tell, but it sort of sounds like it might be a right hand twill, but woven in the direction opposite from typical rht. BiG did this with their n-02 jeans.

My preferred cut made the cut (no pun intended) and although I do have a preference for a certain combination of the remaining details (which also happens to be in the lead ), the alternatives are also nice and it all just makes me super hopeful this goes through.
I might even be willing to get a pair of 0105 and 1101 if it comes down to it...

My RS04s are looking bossy as hell. I recently washed them again and took them in to have some repairs. I'll put them on when I get them back to reset all of the creases and try to take some pics in the sun. Kimi's pair from a few pages back will be hard to beat, but I think I can give him a run for his money.
Edit: Oops, I mistook this for the Roy thread! I'll post my pics in the appropriate spot.

Check measurement's Nah...it is a stronger tapered pair with a medium rise (IMO) and a fitted top block. A more modern look than the 1101 cut
Got it, thanks! When I hear "fitted top block" I think "won't work for my fat american ass"!

I'm not familiar with the 1110 cut; what is this one like?

Unless you are obfuscating certain details, it sounds like an unforunate and admittedly disappointing circumstance, but I don't see how you were necessarily mistreated.

^ Probably 0105. Pretty excited to see this cut high in the poll. I've been lusting for one for a while and I'm about due for a new pair to work into the rotation.

Will this be a contest or just a special pair? I'm hoping it's just a special pair because I likely wouldn't participate in a contest but wouldn't mind a pair of these

Beautiful pics and scenery. I love it.

I must say that the denim looks pretty regular and not that interesting (by Samurai standards) from those photos

Hi all
Just wondering If anyone has a Samurai denim jacket. Ideally i'm looking for pics to see how they evolve and any tips on sizing before i pull the trigger.
I can assure you they evolve beautifully:

This is the s0553x (or whatever) type III. I am 6' ~185-190 lbs and have a size 42. It fits, but quite tightly (I can button it up, but not comfortably), and I wish I would have gotten a 44, which is what I believe B_f, who is about the same size as me, did. The sizing is true to size, which means that it measures exactly 42cm across the chest pit-to-pit from the outside. Most suit sizing is not like this; I would normally wear a size 40 (American sizing) in most suits.

That's the denim from the rs04?

I've worn my RS04s sparingly over the past year, probably accumulating 1 - 1.5 months of wear in that time, but whenever I put them on I don't want to take them off. They are my best fitting and most flattering cut, and although I don't find the denim particularly interesting at first glance, there is a lot of subtle beauty that comes out after some close inspection.

A crotch rivet for Hogg?!?!?

Agreed; those fit you great.
Are those a 34? Aren't you usually wearing something between 30-32? Further supports that I could never make a 1108 work.

I was doing my weekly cover-to-cover review of the Warehouse thread and noticed this post:

Aho, not sure if you ever got on with the FC 0105 but you took it up a notch with the TCB 50s!

I haven't done a true evo update on these in about six months. I think it's about time!

Gave these a wash the other day and some really great texture is coming out.

Yes I'm sure it is important to be done well and with a union special rather than a modern industrial chain stitcher. The type of thread probably matters too.
These were done by self edge and the stitch is among the cleanest ive seen
