Interesting, thanks for the info. I'll probably just invest on a different body, it will end up costing the same as film and development if I shoot a roll per week.
Here's a few different links to a couple of photographers I look up to on flickr. I would much rather just shoot MF, but as a broke college student I just can't afford it.

(He uses a bit of 8x10 and 4x5 so you would need to click the images to see which are MF)

Also want to say that it's complete bullshit that Penn State UP doesn't have a darkroom.. you'd figure one of the biggest colleges would have one.

I'm looking at improving my photography skills... My family has a Canon Rebel T3i that no one really uses, and I just wanted to be able to take better shots when we go on vacation trips... I bought a 50mm lens this summer to mess around with it but never got around to feeling comfortable enough with the camera, so I put it down and never got to pick it up again. Do you guys have any advice besides going out there and taking more pictures?
We can give you all the advice in the world, but it wont make a difference unless you go out and take pictures. I will admit 'studying' other photographers work most certainly helps you take better pictures as you have a concept/picture already in mind and although it may not come out right or be the same you will have tried something new (hopefully).

So pic heavy post... sorry.. But I did this right around thanksgiving break, I just never had any time to actually upload and post the photos. Went into NYC and visited SENY and got a burger after, obviously more happened but it was the highlights.

After long debate I've decided I'd rather sell these than keep. I love the cut but I much prefer a slimmer cut now.
They've been worn less than 6 months, if not around the 6 month mark. They have had 1 wash and 1 initial soak. fades aren't anything too great, yet, but they do look quite nice. For sizing reference I'm 5'6", ~130lbs and they fit me perfectly in the waist. In the first picture you can see the right leg has a line, not sure if it will ever go away, but I rarely notice it.
I'm looking for$200->$180 shipped CONUS. I'm more than willing to keep them if they don't sell.Measurements:
Waist: 16" aligned
Inseam: 31"
Leg O: 7.5"
Knee: 7.8"
Also please note on the left leg there's a little friction mark as I took a fall in them this past summer from a longboarding incident. Shows how tough the jeans are because they survived.. the sweatshirt, undershirt and flannel I was wearing I can't say the same for
Below is a link to the gallery for any pics I've taken of these jeans. As well as additional pics to the ones below (which were taken and haven't been worn since).

Took a slight fit flick of mah 3109s. Progress is pretty steady and I'm sure once these are washed around May they'll look crazy. Once I get home from college I'll be sure to take some progress pics.

^ That sounds about right. I could've sized down probably 2 more sizes on my pair, but if you wear a belt you should be fine.

I just import all the photos into LR and store them on my backup drive (need my other back-up, but it's at home). As far as organization goes it's all just different catalogs for each shoot. Something for like my 'college' pictures I'll just store them all on a single catalog as those photos aren't that important.
Unless my pictures are completely blurry or just un-useable, I'll delete them off the catalog, but not the original files off the drive.

thanks man, right back at you!
hahaha that's totally her. how do you know her?
shit.. that's strange, haha! One of my friends has a project she has to do for a class and because she knows I do this professionally back at home she asked me for my help and that girl was one of the 'models'.

^ Exactly. Luckily they're a skinny cut or I wouldn't have been able to wear them. Definitely SD1 or 2.

has any1 washed their 3105/09 already?
what's the verdict on shrinkage? ... ie, if did they shrunk further
Well the jeans themselves run pretty big. Mine are a size 30, but the waist can easily accommodate someone that wears a 31/32 - this is after a hot wash and dryer to get max shrinkage.

^ I have some Mamiya 7 photos in my flickr, I have 2 more rolls that need developing but I have to find places that do C-41 if I'm not mistaken. As far as I know the Mamiya 7 is probably the sharpest MF camera out there? I may be mistaken, but the pictures I took with it were incredibly sharp.
Btw ADH2 if you figure out some pricing/how to work that machine I'd love to get some of my B&W rolls developed. Definitely like to see some of the results when you're able to post!
