  1. ^Scans look good and yes flickrs oversharpening can be hard to tame. I just leave all my files unsharpened now.

Thanks man. It looks good on flickr, just when I posted it for some reason.

Sorry Jacob I meant to give you positive rep. Photos look great. My fat fingers on this iPhone do me no favors

    Haha it's all good!

  2. That's a process that takes some time and patience to learn.

dude, seriously. I think I'm finally getting the hang of scanning color film.

Show these with my pentax 67. Sorry about flickrs horrible over-sharpening.

  3. Post 3rd wash:

    SG2105 size 30

    12-16 months of wear

Well done! I don't mean to call you out in anyway either, but are those really 2105s? I ask because the weft doesn't look very brown/gold like it does on my pair, but mine aren't nearly as faded as yours either.

  4. Epic shit right there! When did you do the wash?

Thanks! It was in March when I was on spring break.

Awesome, great color and contrast on those laxlife.  As I suspected, it's very similar to the PBJ left-hand twill gray weft denim.

The damage to the left pocket makes a good argument for not putting your phone in a front pocket, though.

Thanks. I can't say I'm a fan of phone fades in front pockets either. I just find that the most comfortable to do.

Very nice laxlife. I like those a lot.

Good observation Cold Summer, the 14oz SDA left hand twill has a grey weft too.

     Thanks Maynard!

I must say I really like the colour on both 21xx/31xx series. well done!

I would love to see my 2105s as faded as these, however I think that the denim in the 2xxx series may be more stubborn and less resistant to fading than the 3xxx series.

  5. These are exceptional, keep up the great work :)!

    Thanks!

Love these. Not sure if it's just the lighting (or my screen,) but haloing is a bit distracting in the second photo. Love the composition though. Just curious what you're shooting with now and maybe a link to your work? If I remember correctly, you shot a lot of portrait work? Would love to see some other stuff!

Thanks! I thought there was haloing but I think it's from my light I used. I am shooting with a 5Dii, 24-70, pentax 67 w/ 165 2.8. I'm trying to get better with film right now, so I've been kinda ignoring digital lol. My website is: jacobskoglund.com. I also haven't really felt inspired to post because I don't feel like my work is up to par right now. I wont be in NY this summer, so prolly no shoots until fall/end of august.

also my tumblr is pretty active and I'm putting up more recent stuff now that I have the time: http://jacobssecondarymind.tumblr.com/

  6. Bought a pentax 67 and gave up a few things on digital.

These two are part of a documentary series for Marcellus Shale. My photo class at psu is working on this project and this was at a rally to ban fracking under a certain park outside of Pittsburgh. When I was developing the photos after the developer the rolls almost fell out of the canister, so as you can see with the first photo part of it got exposed to the light.

  7. I don't have a scanner - which is something I need to get.

The place where I get it developed scan to disc or USB and they use Epson V700's, not 100% sure what they're colour correction software etc is but they're pretty good.

Gotcha. I gotta get better with getting more accurate color from my scans. Over the summer I'll probably just have labs in NYC scan it for me since they can give me far better scans.

  8. Wow thanks ! I need to shoot more Portra but it's impossible to get in New Zealand unless you order off eBay which I will do in a few days.

Tones wise all those photos I posted have literally no post editing whatsoever just a little bit of curves, cropping and black and white. Give Fujifilm Pro a shot !

What do you scan with? I just scan the negative in Epson Scan and invert it in photoshot using color perfect. I have vuescan but every time I scan in it I get pretty shoddy results.

  9. Not really satisfied with my film (photography) work yet. Finally have access to a darkroom though, so I'm going to try to shoot a lot more B&W film (can't do color processing cause psu sucks in that sense). If anyone also has any advice on how my tones are please feel free to give me any sort of advice as I'm still learning how to scan and process properly.

  10. Haven't tasted bud in over a month and a half while I've been looking for a new job and trying to keep my options open in case of drug tests. If I get the job from the company I just interviewed for I'm going to convert over to only using vaporizers.

Been looking at a lot of reviews lately and I think I've narrowed it down to a few units. If I get a table top vaporizer for the home, it's between the Arizer Extreme Q, which looks like a traditional vape that can be used with a whip or a bag, and the Plenty by Storz and Bickel, which is whip only and looks like some sort of futuristic photon drill power tool but is a nice quality machine and made by the same company as the volcano. If I want to go portable, I think I've settled on the Ascent by Davinci. A little less sleek and stylish than the Pax but it looks easier to maintain and still packs a decent punch for a portable.

Any vape experts used any of these? The Plenty is really pushing what I'd want to spend on a vaporizer and I may just go with the Extreme Q because of that. So I guess I'm looking in the $250 price range, but may splurge a bit if the quality is really that much better.

In my experience the pax was incredibly easy to maintain. The liytle button that lights up on the inside got stuck a few times, but it still did its job in the end. Plus you really can't beat the warranty.
