  1. Sunday, so you're bored?

    Just web shopping!!

Cheers Paul an airfrogmc for the advice, seen a pair of 36 inch (measured) inside leg 55 Valencia st. But don't want to risk them ending up anything under 33.5 inches post shrink for the cost over a non Valencia st.

  2. I just bought a pair of '55's a month ago,

were they the latest batch of 1955? If so how much shrinkage did you experience in the leg (inseam)

I'm gutted that I can't get a Raw measured 1955 over 35" inside leg which I need to be at least 33.5" after shrinking

  3. I haven't checked in a while, but I was under the impression that one can generally find inseams up to 38".

Edit: just checked Cultizm, and yes, there are many 38" inseams available.

Only in the larger waist sizes though

  4. What size inseam do you buy? And from where? ;)

I'm gutted just got a new pair of 55 in a tagged 36 leg and they only measure 35" - back to cultizm they go.

I'd love lvc to do a 38" inside leg in all waist sizes. I'm 32 or 34 waist depending on model and can't find a 38 leg anywhere

  5. The 37's do indeed fade raher quickly, I have put up pics of a pair I've been wearing for two weeks after a soak and they are starting to show tracks and whiskers already. But my other LVC's (earlier years) fade slowly and rather differently.

Stratos where are the pics? i'm keen to see how they look.

  6. I always hem before soaking because I prefer to keep the roping on the hems, and because I like cuffs, so any minor variation in length is acceptable. But if you intend for no cuffing, then yes, soak hot first, and assume you will lose another 1/2 inch in the length with future washes. Try and get whowever hems them to offset the hems and you'll still get a bit of roping. As setterman says, they'll get darker rather than lighter with a soak.

Paul - what do you mean by "roping" on the hems?

  8. Very true, I've washed my contest pair several times, and I am seeing much more fading compared to pairs that I went a year or more without washing. It's up to how you want to wear them and how you want to treat them. And I would follow Setterman's advice, his jeans consistently look fantastic.

cheers both - I have pairs on rotation which prob doesn't help

  9. ALL of the broken in jeans on this thread and the Cultizm Comp thread make me green with envy. What do you do to get them so good?

I have a desk job (which I wear my LVC too most days) and wear them all other days out and about or round the house but have had no success like you lot with my LVC - what am I doing wrong?!?
