  1. Thanks. I like the extra length where the hem is narrow enough for the denim to stack rather than needing a big turn up (as on the '54s). It's a bit confusing (I'm new to this) that 38" inseams in raws actually seem quite hard to come by, whereas 32" inseams are easy to get - when you would think that very few people would need a 32" inseam, which is going to be a pretty short 29" after shrinkage...

I got mine both from Cultizm, the 36/36 will be what your after.

  2. Any advice on sizing raw 1937 501s please? The only LVC I have experience of are washed - I'm a 34/34 on 1944s and a 36/34 on 1954s. Cheers.

I'm a 34" / 34" in pre washed LVC but have both 36/36 and a 36/38 in the raw 1937. I like to get the shrinkage out before wear and you need the extra length in the leg more than the waist I find. the 36/38 are cuffed but the 36/36 are not if that helps

  3. Even Levis says to keep them out of water as much as you can. It comes on the instructions with the jeans. Mine usually never hit the machine until they have the fades fully set so a year or so in.

    cheers for this advice

  4. Best way to get great wearing is to keep them outta water as much as possible.

New pair of '47 arrived today and I bought them oversized so need to shrink them. Will a first 30 degree wash (to get them to fit in the leg) mean that longer term it'll be harder to get good fades?

I usually soak in the bath but went for a 38" on the leg size so they eventually end up 34"

  5. i bought a pair of '67 505's on an impulse this morning before work

not sure if i should say thank you or fuck you

    LOL

I bought some 1947 broken down off them the week before, managed to return them and re-order with the discount!

  6. blackbird, asos, caliroots, oki-ni, context, tres bien, and of course the couple already discussed. i've personally only dealt with cultizm when it comes to LVC, and have always been impressed and extraordinarily pleased with their customer service, prices, etc.

cheers for these, not seen Blackbird

  7. I've bought a few things from aeroleather, things that cultizm didn't stock. They were always very responsive and helpful by email and the shipping on jeans and shirts is usually 25 pounds not the 50 pounds that they say on the website. On the other hand, if cultizm does have the item, they are usually quicker and cheaper.

Is there a forum thread which has a list of all the online stockists of LVC I could be pointed too?

  8. All my first post! Been reading the forum for a few weeks and finally had my account authorised. You all know your stuff and gained some fascinating insight on LVC denim which I've been a fan of since 06.

I've bought my jeans from most UK sites and from Cultizm, but never tried aeroleather, as they don't seam to have much stock on their webpage, is it best to phone them?
