  1. 4" bigger than tag size...hilarious...why even bother to write a number on it at all?!

looking forward to some pics! :)

I asked for the measurements of a tagged 32 " Waist and 34" Leg actual size were 34.5" waist and 36" leg.

    Not even consistently oversized!

  2. Threebyone has a good sale on at the moment - 1933s at €95 in lots of sizes. That's where I ordered my 1915s for €100.

    They don't have any 32" X 34" 1890's left though:(

Anyone know where I can get them? Without costing the earth.

  3. Did they actually measure 38" raw?

I didn't measure them with a tape but they were certainly the longest LVC 38" I've had (my 47 are tagged 38" too) from Raw.

email Cultizm they have a 40 * 38 1937 in stock as they are the best at supplying speedy acurate measurements. Mine were 36 * 38 but purchased this year from them so hopefully they are from the same LVC run

  4. Levis Vintage 1944 501

Tagged Size: Waist 36” Leg 36”

Actual Size: Waist 35" Leg 35"

These jeans have been washed in a warm bath once to remove stiffness and have been worn a handfull of times. Jeans are in perfect condition with no frayed hems and retain original colour and are the perfect canvas for someone to break in and make their own. Come with all tags as new.

  5. sorry sorry sorry - I could have sworn your post said 1947. Speck of coffee on my other monitor maybe? My bad. Yes, they're essentially the same. Fabric rather nicer on the 1915.

    LOL - I thought I need specsavers as I couldn't find any info on 1915 or 1917!

    Cheers again though.

  6. Fresh 1937's, wasn't too sure how these would suit my build but I think after a soak they will look good. Opinions? are they too loose for my body type? still on the fence a little bit but I'm anxious to see what happens after a hot bath. TTS 30x32, plan on wearing them dry because they are perfect in the waist, don't want to lose too much there...

let me know what you guys think

They look a great fit - where did you get them? I'm after a fresh pair.

  7. Right, mission to American Classic. They have no 1937 cut. Almost everything but. Only 36 inseam in a 1933 cut is a 36x36. Nothing beyond that.

Interesting anecdote from the always entertaining fella in there. Told me they went to see the LVC rep, who told them: "I've got some bad news."

American Classics chaps are thinking, 'please don't put the prices up by £10 or £15, that would be awful'.

LVC rep tells them its an increase to £215, American Classics chaps reaction.... 'you f**king c**t'.

Potty mouthed but says it all really.

Cheers for popping in for the jeans update. Loving the reaction to the price increase - same as most of us!;)

  8. Cinch are charging the new price of £215.

Don't know about American Classics pricing but they definitely have LVC. Can look at pricing for you tomorrow if wanted.

If its not out of your way, can you also see what leg length they do in a 1937 and 1955. I need a 36 or 38 for a cuff.

    cheers

  9. Those prices are outrageous, especially as there whole range started at £115.00. Overnight increase of over 80%!?!

Thanks for the heads up, will never buy from them again.

Glad I stocked up before the hike.

    .

    .

the 1937 and 1915 are the same sizes available as of wednesday but now £100 more a pair at £215 - wish I hadn't dithered on which ones to buy. Another sale lost.

Poping up to London in next few weeks anyone know what Cinch current stock is or whether American Classics still have LVC?

  10. I've seen some at Barney's Co-op outlet at the factory stores down by Disney. There are two big outlet malls but only the southern stores have the Barneys. Don't remember what they had since I just looked at the sizes in the stack and they were all smaller than 33 waist so I just walked away.

    cheers for the heads up
