Thanks for the links, I bought them in a size 32. They should fit fine if they shrink an inch.

Hey, can you post the link to the '42 chino? What is the expected shipping time to California?
http://historypreservation.com/hpassociates/buzzrlanding_2.php
They said 4-5 days.

If you are getting the '42 chinos I would stay stick with a 32 as they are baggy and fairly highrise, but they do shrink a bit in the waist. That said, I don't particularly like the customer service at HPA so I may be biased.
Doesn't seem like anyone really does..I'll go with my gut and get the 32s.

Where'd you get that shirt? I need to find an online source.
While I'm not completely sure that you're in LA, I'm pretty sure Craft has that shirt in stock.

Guys, I need some quick advice. I'm ordering the WW2 khakis from History Preservation and they're advising me to order a size 34 despite the fact that I only ever wear a size 32. The best way to measure your waist is at the actual waist, right? They're saying to measure an inch below the navel, which measures 34, but I have never ordered pants that big. I still fit into my size 30 APCs.

does the button down kind of flair out on the bottom, i bought one in england and it did that.
I'm not sure what what you mean. It looks like a normal shirt to me. No particularly big flair.

I've literally never worn this out of the house. It's a size M, but apparently Carhartt runs too big for my liking. I threw it in the wash once to see if I could shrink it, but it had no effect.
20 shipped

Both are in fantastic shape and originally purchased at the Fred Perry store in London (Covent Garden). I can count the times I've worn the button-up on one hand. Both are size M and are both fairly "modern" fits.
PRICE DROP

9E, standard height, semi-dress brown, double leather sole, brass eyes and hooks.... I think
I'm jealous...I'm pulling the trigger on a pair of Bounty Hunters as soon as I can sell my Indys (see signature).

These things are almost perfect and were just recently Cat's Pawed at Eddie's in Sherman Oaks.
I've decided that 405s aren't for me, so I'm selling them. I've had them for a couple of months, but, as you can see, they weren't worn very often. I should mention that the soles don't look quite as perfect as they do in the picture. They've been walked on a bit.
I'm asking 320 shipped (the resole cost 100 dollars).

I'm guessing he washes and wears his jeans like a normal person?

I probably should have said "more rugged." Construction-wise, the Alden is fine, but I vastly prefer the look of either the Semi-Dress or the Bounty Hunter. It's too bad that I only just realized that they're pretty affordable.

After having my 405s for a very short time, I'm wishing i would have purchased something a little "beefier." I'm about to pull the trigger on some White's. Is this a good idea?
Also, I'm selling my barely worn Cat's Pawed 405s (10.5 D) if anyone's interested. Looking to get around 320 for them.

looks like one of the turnouts on mulholland dr. towards the east end of it, near the 101. might not be on mulholland, but that's definitely shot facing southeast towards downtown LA from the hills. and i know there are views/turnouts like that along mulholland, and it fits the vibe, so...
Thanks, I think I'll go look for it.

Anyone know where that picture was taken from? Physical location, not publication.

The soap thing was a false alarm, I guess. I haven't noticed now that the jeans are dryer.

My jeans just finished drying and I just realized that they're still a bit soapy in some spots. Will it rub off eventually, or should I re-soak? I feel like a moron.

Can anyone speak for the quality of Sugar Cane Lone Wolf Mechanic boots? I'm thinking about getting a pair to replace my GTs, which I'm pretty sick of.

Is there a "best" way to wash chambray?

I'm surprised at how many people are recommending the Wolverines over the 405s. I agree that the Wolverines look better in black, but they haven't really "proven" themselves like the 405 has.
