The RHxPBJx011 collaboration jean with Pure Blue Japan uses a 24 oz gold and blue line selvedge denim. The fabric has been woven with at the PBJ specialist mill in Okayama on an old Toyoda loom. The fit is the classic slim taper of the X011 and X13. The warp yarns have been rope-dyed with indigo and the weft dyed a pale grey,
The jeans include a button fly, iron buttons, chainstitched waistband and hem and the PBJ leaf emblem (shoai) on the back pocket.
Most of these jeans were sold on pre-order. We have a limited number still available in sizes 30-34w.

British jeans, seaside and characters in this cool film by Alun Callender. Scott sets off on his scooter to make jeans rather than for a showdown with The Rockers.

Our 24 oz. RHxPBJx011 collaboration jean with Pure Blue Japan has shipped from Okayama and will be with us early next week.
We will then update the size charts with actual measurements and ship out later in the week giving any pre-order customers the chance to switch to other sizes if necessary

The ultra heavy Iron Heart Buffalo Check Flannels are in ever increasing demand so we are offering them in all three of the 2015 colourways: Red, Green and Charcoal.
The 100% cotton shirts feature black Iron Heart logo'd Permex snaps with a button at the collar. The fabric is single brushed on the face and double brushed on the reverse for extra warmth and cosy feel-appeal. The shirt has been washed once so there is minimal shrinkage.Junior is wearing a small flannel. He is 173 cm tall and weighs 65 kg.
Words of caution: these shirts sell out fast.4 -
BTW: is it true, that the 16 oz denim shrinks less than the 14,5 oz? If so, how much shrinkage and stretch can I expect?
Yes, and a little more stretchy too. It will only shrink 2" in length. Some people report 2.5" but I've yet to see that.
The waist will stretch back to raw measurements.

So do I have this right, I'm a 42 in TFH T's so would go for a 42 in TFH shirts? Unless I buy a WR version which would be consistent with western sizes were I'm a 39/40?
It really depends on the shirt. I'm a 42 in THC T shirts and normally a 42 in shirts. However, in the 7002w and houndstooth flannels (2013) I'm a 44. Both use unsanforized fabrics which were then one washed and shrank more than expected. However, In the HN-52w flannels made in 2014 I'm a comfortable 40.

I'm fine with a hybrid cut, but since a few people have mentioned the issue of comfort I thought I'd chime in... As far as I can tell I'm the only one interested in these jeans who has worn both the 3005 and 3009 for about 10 months each, in the same size nonetheless... Just letting everyone know that the 3005 is MUCH more comfortable than the 3009 even at the same waist size (tag and true), this is a result of the taper. Any taper will have an affect on the jeans, and imo since the 3009 is like a 66 cut I feel that the taper is strong. Nothing like the 3012, but that's just a carrot.
If these jeans were made with the 3005 they wouldn't happen, so like I said, I'm cool with the hybrid... I'm just trying to get as much information out there as possible, and for those who really want a slim/tapered cut (not saying the 3009 is one, or that it's even the case here) there are many, many great pairs of denim, and like MF posted Danny is even making the 3002 cut in probably the same RJB denim.
As you say in a previous post I don't see much crossover with our own collaboration. We are having a new slim tapered fit designed for our RJB collaboration and it is based on TFH 3002 cut and stripped back to a minimalist indigo arcuate design. This is due February (roughly).
It's good to see so much interest in the RJB denim and support for a straight fit. The majority of our customers at present favour a slim cut and due to the numbers and costs involved with a collab I needed to choose a fit that would work for us. I think this collaboration with Signet will be awesome and can't wait to see the end result on those of you signing up for it.

In the summer we launched the RH15 jean, our first collaboration with 3sixteen using a 15 oz. Japanese selvedge denim.
Here are a few shots of my own pair after just 40 wears. The greycast denim has some really intense indigo popping out of the fabric at this early stage. It's pretty crunchy and slubby which no doubt accounts for this fast evo.
We also launched The Flat Head Leather & Wool Stadium Jacket. It's quilted rayon lining makes it a perfect jacket for the colder months.

The Iron Heart small wallet in Japanese shell cordovan leather standard issue includes 4 card slots, a coin pouch and removable centre card leaf. The leather and hand stitched construction is of sublime perfection so we have created our own modified design for those who prefer a slimmed down wallet. We removed the centre leaf and coin pouch replacing it with an additional 4 card slots.
This wallet is available in oxblood.

We now carry the Iron Heart Steel Core Plaited Calf Wallet Rope in black and tan
The thin steel filament adds extra wait and allows the rope to lie flush with the body.
It is 21" in length (53cm)
We also restocked the IHxB01, otherwise known as the Beatle Buster jean, by Iron Heart. It uses the signature 21 oz sanforized denim. This is a straight cut that sits between the slim 666 and straight/regular 634 jeans

This probably a stupid question, but does the iphone 6 plus fit in the back pocket of the jeans?
Not quite. Only just sticks out.

The Pure Blue Japan x013 has been restocked. This slim tapered fit uses the signature 14 oz. denim famed for its slubby character. We have a sample of this denim worn for 2 years framed and hanging in the store. It shows just how much the slubby nature of this denim develops with wear. We carry all sizes 27-38.
The deep indigo shirt fabric is so rich that we did not hesitate to compliment the western style with the new work shirt version. The 8 oz. fabric has both warp and weft yarns rope-dyed. The shirt features one riveted chest pocket and doughnut iron buttons which are then replaced by hidden snap buttons on the lower placket. You can already see the impression these buttons make on the fabric designed to fade with wear. Rinsed once the shirt will not shrink. The 3 Gauge indigo knit cap is a simple piece but a great example of PBJ's prowess when it comes to dyeing fabrics with indigo. The knitted cotton will stretch and not shrink so the cap is intended to be a snug fit at first.X013Deep Indigo Work Shirt4 -

The first winter flannels for 2015 arrived today. UES custom weave their own flannel fabrics on shuttle looms in Okayama, Japan.
They are distinguished by the acorn pocket design and ivory palm nut buttons grown on equatorial trees.
The flannels are 100% cotton, with a brushed lining and rinsed once so won't shrink. The main body seams are chain stitched.
This year they appear in two colourways: Wine and Brown.

The Flat Head 1002 jean is the slim tapered version of the 1001 in 16 oz. selvedge denim.
For those of you familiar with the 3xxx denim this is similar to the 3002 in fit.
The main difference between the 14.oz Pioneer (3xxx) denim is in the feel: the 16 oz. feels a bit rougher and the whiskers and honeycombs become really defined after just one day of wear. The intense indigo fades to powdery blue over time.2 -
Iron Heart, specialists in heavy selvedge denim, has been selected by Yamaha to create the denim inspired Yard Built motorcycle. “What I wanted to achieve was a beautiful café racer that fits perfectly into the Iron Heart universe,†commented Shinichi Haraki. “The bike is designed to be for a mature rider, not a kid. My inspiration came from 70s and 80s Japanese and European bikes that look like real bikes. Nothing has been modified or added that makes it shout more than it should, there is no design influence without function, it’s a real bike for grown ups.â€
On Friday 11th September we will hold a meet and greet event at our Windmill Street store. The bike, Haraki-san, Sarina and Jiro, and the IHUK crew will be all be there. The bike will remain in the store for several weeks.

We shot some photos of the PBJ X011 we have on display at the store. They belonged to Neil, a good friend of Junior. He had never worn raw denim but when our first PBJ delivery arrived during our pop up store at Apartment 58 in April 2013 he bought a pair to support our fledgling venture at the time. They now sit in our denim archive cabinet at the London store along with pairs from The Flat Head, Steel Feather, Iron Heart and other brands.
Our forthcoming collaboration with Pure Blue Japan will be a 24 oz. version of the same denim. We can only imagine at this stage how this new and exclusive fabric will age over time.
The RHxPBJx011-24oz jeans are available by pre-order here

Should we size these 24oz exaclty like we would the regular 011/013s? A 33 fits me perfectly in this cut (for the 14oz)
Edit: oops sorry just read the sizing blurb on the website. Please ignore
No worries but just to clarify we expect these jeans to size exactly like other slim tapered PBJ jeans. We'll publish exact size charts once they arrive in London and allow any pre-order customers to switch size

Our first collaboration with Pure Blue Japan combines the ever popular slim tapered fit with a substantial 24 oz. version of the X011 jean with a grey weft and left hand twill weave. The indigo dyeing processes of PBJ are a closely guarded secret but we can guarantee both an exceptionally slubby deep indigo fabric and a pair of faded jeans over time that are truly remarkable.
This jean is limited in numbers and we have seen huge interest. We are making it available by pre-order and expect delivery in late September.http://rivetandhide.com/brands/pure-blue-japan/pure-blue-japan-rhxpbjx011-24oz-jean-pre-order.html
