Some of the sizing on evisu is just weird. I just ordered a pair of #2000T no.2 shorts off their site, and it says size W32 is 81cm while next size up is 87cm! I got the W32, but I am hoping it won't end up being too small in the waist. Will have to wait and see.
Consistently inconsistent!

Wow just wow fuck their sizing hahah will get a no 2 instead
And get all that extra room? Fuck that too!
Currently dripping indigo onto my carpet - luckily it's dark blue anyway, ha!

Full measurements please!
The measurements here for size 35 are accurate, apart from the thigh being slightly smaller in real life. The flat measurement for the waist is just under 17.5".

What did you get ctb? Did you have to wait?
2000 tiger selvage in a 35. They came about an hour ago. Should probably have gone with a 36, ha. So I'm either gonna be sitting in the bathtub with them on to shrink or will be wedging the waist open to keep some breathing space there!

I had them listed for maybe a couple of weeks but sold them on here. I thought you were going for the gatagata 2000's which don't shrink as much (2" & 2") though they do have a tiger selvage line also...
It suggested 6% shrinkage for the ones I ordered so I should be ok if the inseam is just below 34" when raw. On my last pair the inseam didn't reach its final length until after a good few washes. If I'm happy with the length after the soak then I'll only wash them in cold water to be on the safe side!
56 minutes ago, beautiful_FrEaK said:@CrashTestBrummie I have probably missed it but where did you order them?
Denimio, mate. Should be here within the next couple of hours.

That would be the same size I would take in a new pair of Evisu (if I were in the market). Please keep us updated regarding waist and inseam!
Well, they confirmed that the inseam is 86cm which just about matches the 33.9" that the website shows. And they have shipped already...

Go by visuals lol
8 hours ago, bod said:Talking of size 35 tiger selvage 2000 #1 these were mine that I sold on here. If ya still around post some pics of these!
Were they on eBay for a while some time back? Btw, I wouldn't have even thought about a 2000 if it hadn't been for you pointing out the inseam measurement when we were talking about the 2001 a few days ago, so cheers!

Really looking forward to that! What size did you take? No.1 denim I assume? Tiger selvedge or red line?
I'm looking forward to getting them, too! My original pair were always a bit too tight on the waist - they were a couple of inches smaller than expected in their pre-soak state.
I've gone for a 35 in tiger selvage no.1 denim.

They look legit to me but why not contact Evisu too? I don't think many people on here are too familiar with the more recent output from Evisu International although I'm sure there are some people who might know more than me...

I am now at the unpicking stage for a good few hours with a seam ripper, ridding my rear of the fugly shiny silver thread used for the gulls.
More pics as and when...
Good work! I've just ordered a brand new pair of 2000s, assuming that the inseam is what it's supposed to be!

Just nabbed a nice slubby ev form the bay, they'll do until I get my old deluxe repaired(10years on!), nice to see CTB still alive and kicking, I've not ventured into the wold of denim for a few years ! !
Will post up a few pics when they arrive.
Happy Sunday !
Long time! What did you pick up? Your Deluxe must be looking quality by now...
6 hours ago, Carl Hallberg said:Ha, those were my thoughts when I picked up those Evis carpenter pants last year. Thankfully the gulls don't have the same kinda negative connotations as a few years ago.
I could decide in the end if I'd love a pair of 2001s as much as the thought of wearing them again, so ended up getting a second hand pair from Rakuten as at least I know what the inseam is gonna be. £78 including shipping so hardly breaking the bank.

@CrashTestBrummie can you reupload some pics of your lazy s denim, pics arent working anymore
I just checked mate and I don't have them any more, sorry. Even checked Google images and found my old eBay listing from 2014 when I sold them but the pics have gone...
A nice faded pair here though to cheer you up!

Just looked at the size chart, says 34.3 for non-wash
Yeah, that's for the 2000. Don't know why the 2001 is shorter. Might indeed be best to contact them like HK suggested.

The 'gatagata' no.1 denim shrinks to 32.5" inseam, or if you're desperate for 'anything will do' evisu, then the lot 2005 no.2 had a decently long inseam when I last checked.
Cheers, just checked denimio though and they give the pre-shrink inseam of gatagata as 32.7 so maybe that's changed too?

Urgh. I keep on toying with the idea of getting a fresh pair of 2001s and seeing stuff like this doesn't help me resist! Well played, mate.
On 01/03/2017 at 6:41 PM, BionicEye said:Nice pick up. If you search 'Leepro' in this thread you should find loads of pictorial goodness. I sold my worn in pair a while back. Great jeans and you won't see shrinkage if you wash them normally beyond the usual fabric contraction that stretches back out with wear.
14 hours ago, Carl Hallberg said:I'm going with Evisu International although a pic of the full jean would help - think I've seen the belt loop selvage on a couple of models and it seems like a strange detail to fake if they're not genuine.
23 minutes ago, tigerstrom said:On my pair the inseam became 31.5 after the first wash and now it is 30.5-31.
Fuck that short leg shit lol. Remind me, what of the available No.1 denims is the better option for keeping some inseam after washing? Really CBA to size down and wash cold...
By the way, if anyone has a pair of the brown box denim in a 30 or 32 lying around then get in touch. Been wanting a pair for a long, long time now... 32 my preference but the sizing on the 30 might just work.

Nice find CTB you always find the mega deals on ebay!
erm...what about these, for the princely sum of ninety-nine pennies sterling?
seem to have daicocks flying at me from all directions. there's no patch (nor sign of a patch, weirdly) but, if it wasn't for the broad silhouette, i would swear these were actually no.1 denim from the feel.
gonna get them slimmed down a bit by a local tailor and probably rock these too, fuck it. a 9" hem is a little too much for my taste - plus the legs kinda swamp mine, and I'm far from skinny
i'll get the fit pic of the jacket up at the same time as i manage to get one of these

Brilliant, cheers.
I've just washed my Evis Type II jacket so I'll return the favour as soon as is possible...

Thanks, yeah the denim is great. I'm really pleased to rediscover them. Going to start wearing them again.
nice one for the pics...you know a fit pic is the next request, don't ya!
really feeling mine already, there's something about the older No 2 denim. the paint is flaking on the daicock already. gonna get a red tab put on there very soon...
1 -
yeah seen a couple or three pairs like that recently tbh. not good.
fit pic of the 2513s - had the hem taken in by an inch today. might get an inch taken off the length too but don't think they look too bad with a heavy cuff tbf
the only evis(u) i've worn for ages are the green cast mizuhikii jeans that are now on the verge of falling apart. gonna start giving these and the natural indigo 2504XXs some wear now when i'm feeling a looser fit i think...

What a brilliant find Crash! You may, or may not, remember I've got a pair of these from way back in the '90s - now, sadly, a bit too tight on the waist. Great jeans and what a bargain!
i do remember seeing some pics way back when...any chance you could post some pics again, matey?

random vintage evis ebay find. didn't realise from the pics that this model is a carpenter-style jean - didn't bother checking the lot number (#2513) and just won them for a cheapo £27.
they're unworn with the red tab removed (most versions of these seemed to have had a black evis tab though).
actually thought about getting a pair of these from evisu.jp via proxy a while back as i've always had a bit of a soft spot for these kinda jeans. not even that bothered about the mahoosive daicock on the back, think i'm gonna get these slightly narrowed by about 1.5-2" at the hem and give them some loving.
shit pics from my mobile:

They're pretty low rise if I remember rightly. I sold mine a while back as I need more thigh room.

Only ever known them to exist in sanforised denim, matey.

The fact that they seem to have Levi Strauss & Co, San Francisco rivets kinda suggests a bit of a mismatch of details
Rare to see actual Evis jeans with a leather patch although not unknown at all.

So I'm thinking of buying a Evis (/no u!) denim Jacket. What cut do you guys recommend? I'm pretty small so maybe a size 34 would fit my arms best.
I was looking at this:
http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w108803069?wr=1&iref=wlr_5
Not bad for ¥9300...
This would be nice for winter...

Does anyone have one of these lined jackets?
Little bit of evis history...
I've got a type 2 Evis jacket (lot 1507 I think, the patched is fucked). I wore it earlier for the first time in ages. I'll get some pics over the weekend...

Popped into my local tailor's shop for a fitting for some alterations so took full advantage of his mirror!
Still damp 2000s. Only gave them a 20-minute soak and they are the shortest inseam jeans I've ever worn. I like the fit, and I expected the length to be like this. Fair to say that these will never ever ever ever be going near hot water in the future!
