This is how the stitching on my 0331's pockets look, see what I mean about the 'spade' shape, with the way it goes in towards the top, and also the difference at the bottom?

Waist: 32"
LOT: 0331 (Slim cut)
The pockets on those are different to the current Lot 0331 - the current pockets have a kinda 'spade' shape to the stitching.
And how tall is the person wearing them to be able to cuff them like that? Mine shrunk to a 32 after soaking for an hour...

gulls look kinda thin. can you request that? also below the knee looks big, have they been soaked/washed?
The stacking below the knee looks a bit funny in that picture because I'd originally used a lot of tape on the inside hem to avoid indigo bleeding on my trainers. As a result, it pushed the stacks up slightly.
I took it out over the weekend, and am going to soak the jeans again this week to see if the leg below the knee will settle down a bit...

Could anyone share their knowledge and tell me what's been used to dye these Fullcount jeans:
Are they coloured that way simply for fashion, and can anyone point me in the direction of finding out more about the fading properties of jeans like this?
Thanks in advance!

^^^ Yeah, had them done yesterday.
Edit: couple of better pics:

Evisu apparently makes watches now, but it's international only (perhaps for time being).
Yeah, they got a good, albeit small, mention in FHM magazine this month; been available for a while now but only just made it onto the website.
Oh, and I got the Lot 2001 repainted:
Much better, imho...

ok, I´m a 34 too but why do 2nd:s site say that size 34 will shrink to 86-88cm when washed wich is about 34 inch?
Mate, couldn't tell you why. All I can say is my own experience.
Maybe that's the size you'll get after shrink/stretch, which is about right then.

I have no personal experience, but from what I've read, you're going to want a 34. The heavier weight Samurais (such as the 21oz jeans you're going to purchase) usually measure about an inch smaller pre-soak than the size chart says.
And the 21oz denim doesn't stretch a ton.
I'm an actual 34, and my 21 ouncers were tagged 34, actual 33 pre-soak. Post-soak, they shrunk to just over 31 but stretched out to a comfy 34 after a few days.
Well worth the few days discomfort

 Decent price for the jeans, but I reckon the seller could have got more if he'd have spent some time on the listing - the amount of spelling/grammar mistakes/typos in the description makes him look like a rank amateur. And y'all have mentioned the lack of decent pictures...
Not that he's going to be bothered by this though, assuming the payment went through...

Should i soak it then? and wear it damp?
Yes

Looks good Calvin. Probably fit you perfectly after a soak and some stretching.
What Jyoni said. Does it say where they were made? Oh, and I think the date on your camera might be a bit behind...
I got my jeans from Japan last weekend, and I'll get some pictures up as soon as I get a chance. They're smaller than tagged size (and unsoaked), so this is going to be a battle of the bulge, methinks...

From what I'm gathering, Evisu seems to be pretty full of it self in Europe.
Possibly, but even taking into account the weak dollar, clothes are generally a lot more expensive over here.

True, the waist size does vary a lot. I think at most to expect a 2~3 inch shrinkage. I usually wear a 36/37 and I bought a 40. Turns out they were a little too big after I threw then in a boiling soak (and I do mean boiling) and a high heat dry in the machine. It shrunk about an 1.5" inches. I have a size 38 waiting to be soaked for a few months, which I suspect will be a better fit.
Mine just arrived from Japan, and I sized down two to a 34" to give me an incentive to hit the gym. The actual size is just over 32" though, which means that I'm going to have to aim to be getting into a 30" waist for these to fit...
A good incentive, for sure, but once I've got into these babies, nothing else will fit me...

i wonder if anyone puts their asthma inhaler in their back pocket. that would look really nerdy.
Guilty as charged; I refuse to carry a 'manbag' so it has to be carried somewhere. I got caught out a few years ago when I never carried it, and not going to go through that again...
i feel like planning out stuff to put in your pocket is kind of like sandpapering to get wear. just do what you do in jeans.Second that. If you're putting stuff in ya pockets just to get the 'right' fades then you need to look up 'individuality' in the dictionary. It's supposed to be a snapshot of your life, not a petition to be accepted as a clone or sheep.
For me:
Front pockets: nothing 'cept housekeys
Coin pocket: mobile phone
Left back: inhaler, cash, travelcard
Right back: gum; old Altoids tin used to carry nicotine lozenges, my substitute for a 'baccy tin

Don't forget, the Heritage line is made of Japanese denim, which is then shipped to Macau.
Yeah, but the price difference between the No.1 (Macau) and No.2 (Japan) was around $250USD, with the No.2 being the most expensive.
Something seems to have been lost in translation there, if you know what I mean...

i'll proxy me a pair then
Definitely the best idea. The No.2 in London would have cost £315 (!!!) normally, and they were charging the same in Selfridges.
They had some decent jeans reduced in Selfridges, the jeans with the painted red tab were going for £77, amongst others.

do they sell no 1 jeans with handpainted gulls in the london store?? if so, damn it, didn't go last time I was in london
Nah, the only No.1 jeans they had there were made in Macau and they were prepainted. They did have some Japan-made No.2 denim with handpainted gulls, but I didn't ask if they'd been painted over here or pre-shipping.
Also the price for the No.2 jeans was prohibitive; even with a hefty discount they came in at approximately the price of a pair of Japanese No.1s.
here it is...2001 - evisu basic cut, button fly, hidden rivet, gull back pocket
2002 - same as 2001, but with zipper fly
2000 - a little more straight silhouette compared to 2001
2000Z - 2000 cut with zipper fly
2004 - buckleback, slightly looser than 2001
2005 - slim straight, even slimmer than 2000, zipper fly
2017 - boot-cut, zipper fly
2101 - lee styled back pocket, but with white paint mark. left hand twill (!)
yamane deluxe - wrangler styled back pocket, very slubby denim with lots of neps.
the paris line
epc1459 - the reversible one
epc1468 - snake and gull back pockets
es04ew - low rise, white gull back pocket, buckle
epc1535 - 3 or 4 kinds of denim materials in one pair of jeans
epc1458 - the so-called spiral cut
epc1544 - the classic pants
epc1461 - large daikoku (daicock?) paint at the back, side pockets on both knees
epc1460 - patched daikoku at the back
epc1457 - the 21 pockets (yucks)
epc1447 - plain back pockets, slight flared bootcut
epc1463 - crane and gull back pockets
hope that helps
And that's for you, Calvin...don't think that list's exhaustive though, as I saw a Lot 0455 when I was there...

Getting good there. I like your fit pics. But 1 size smaller might be better maybe? what is your true waist size and that jeans waist size?
When you said repainted, does it mean you gonna send that pair all over to japan and have them repainted?
They're tagged 36x35, actual size 34x35.5, which is just right for me at the moment. They look at bit baggy in the arse and thigh because of the cut, Lot 2001.
The Evisu store in London offers the handpainting service; I'll be able to send or take them down there to be done.

Can anyone tell me what brand of jeans these are?
I don't have any more information on these, but kinda hoping that someone might be able to identify the brand from the pictures...
Thanks in advance guys, and apologies if it's something really obvious!

Worn relatively hard for a month, non-office hours only...Sanded the gulls right down as they were rubbery (possibly printed, using a stencil based on a handpaint job), with the intention of having them repainted very soon.
Pictures taken inside, with plenty of natural light and no flash:
In direct sunlight, for contrast:
First proper attempt to break dry denim, comments would be appreciated!

*Curious* Is that some sort of another sick pair of jeans like Cheep has?
I fucking wish lol, just a pair of Lot 2000 No.1 Specials that are coming my way.
Noticed when I was in London that there was a pair of No.1 jeans that were made in Macau. Lot 0004 (or 0005?), a kinda 'carpenter' cut of jeans with an extra panel of denim on the front, giving protection to the thigh/knees. Nice denim, but not quite the same as Japanese No.1 denim, can't quite explain why...
Some of the new designs were different, to say the least, with felt backpocket decorations.
This is the back of those Deluxe jeans now, the black paint doesn't show up too well but this should look better with time:
Left pocket says 'ichiban', right pocket 'ebisu'.

Aw cheep why did you have to post those pix? Got my green eyes even greener now!
Just got back from London on a little mission, and got the Deluxes checked out. They're as genuine as they come, and would have retailed over here for between £300-400. I got a little addition to the back pockets, will post pix later as I've only just got back. Thought I'd get y'all a little postcard though:
And I got an email from a mate who's in Japan on business, says he's just received a parcel for me:
Can you guess what it is yet kids?
Kinda makes up for the sunburn from being in London on the hottest day of the year!
