CTB actually I've seen a lot of No.2's that weren't selv on rakuten sites including Kobori so I dunno. Either way it was $42 and that's not busting my wallet haha. Thanks for the input, I'll go look for old listings of this same pair on rakuten.
Fair play fella, hope I'm wrong! At least you didn't break the bank, like you said...

Looks like the start of some nice whiskering going on there CTB !
I sort of gave up on my Large Diacocks after I washed them after gardening and getting them all dirty, kind of wished in a way I left them and 'wore-out' the dirt.
Long time no see Tekrah! Did you ever get round to posting any pics of the daicock jeans?
hm, I knew about the fishing but not the golf.I've seen some nice Evisu fisherman cable sweaters here and there, but doubts about authenticity kept me from buying. Kind of frustrating, I've been wanting a nice one of any brand..
Don't know about the rod cases, but some of the fishing gear available in Japan can be seen http://74.125.93.104/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://shop.evisu.jp/shopbrand/007/X/page1/order/&usg=ALkJrhh5J92E02uKBf6rkjMTgJYjdsLl9g on the Japanese website...
Won these for $42, they're not selv. but they are no.2 denim. Fit is superb btw just the I like it straight but slightly slim. I was on the fence wether on not I was going to keep them but yeah I'm sold. Yeah I know, they're not everyones cup of tea.And I'm glad you didn't pay too much for those mate, they really should be selvage if No.2... I saw some very similar to those in a local market for £25 yesterday in fact, and the ones I saw were as fake as a unicorn turd, sorry...

^ Either that, or keep a pair for a rainy day in the future.
I've a fucked up pair of No.2 2001 that were started by someone else, and I just finished them off. I'd like to see what I could do to a pair from raw at some point in the future, after I've done another brand or two that is...

one in no.1 and one in no.2
Same...and a No.2 2001 hanging up...Gonna be useful for future trades, if nothing else...

Couple of pics of Lot 2000 at the one-month mark, taken outside with no flash
Definitely feeling the way that these are going already, going to be different to Lot 2001 although I think I prefer the 2001 cut...but I'm happy...

^ Yeah, they got some fishing gear on display at their London HQ, including denim rod cases...

I hate all persons who can rock okinawas and hawaiis well. I just aint got the ass.
I have the arse, but my legs are slightly overlong...

£95 from Attic Clothing, right?

^ Both those pairs have been listed at least once, if not twice, before. I think he was asking for an £80 start bid on the one of them (can't remember which) the first time round...

Dunno about the colours, but I'm feeling the patch!

The right arm's fully sleeved:
Including the elbow, which was the most uncomfortable experience I've experienced. The vibrations got my shoulder rattling in its socket, and definitely not looking forward to getting the left elbow done this weekend:
Definitely don't regret any of them, as I had the ideas for the designs in my head for a while before getting them; they sorta grew organically once started, with the artist giving his opinion on what he thought would work best...

Thought I'd bump this up with some pics of my own inkwork, all based on trad Japanese designs but to my spec.
This ain't the best pic of my backpiece, but it'll have to do for the time being:
The left sleeve's not finished yet, but it wraps around to include a phoenix, covering up an earlier tatt:
and a tiger on my inner bicep, again work in progress:

has anyone been on www.togged.com ? they sell evisu but from 4 years ago, still charging 400 dollars, but no new stuff anyone know why?
Erm, because they buy old stock at cheap prices and flog it to the unwary at today's price? There's a UK-based seller on eBay who does exactly that, buys old stock from places like StreetmodaUK for around £40-50 a pair, and then sells it on at £195 BIN price.
The original stock is only listed as part of a shop inventory so won't show up on most searches unless you've set your preferences to include shop stock...people who don't know that will find 'deadstock' Evisu being offered in an auction and think that they're getting a rarity. They don't realise that the same stuff is available, in different categories, at a quarter of the price...
The best 'deadstock' is to found in store stockrooms, if you ask the staff nicely they're often willing to have a look for you...

I saw a lad wearing the Ikeda Deluxe jeans in London at the weekend, the ones posted by Cheep.
Gotta be said but they looked pretty amazing on him, with some beautiful iridescent shades coming through the indigo. He has wearing them halfway down his arse, with some mad stacking going on.
Definitely not a look I could get away with, but on him they looked the dog's bollocks...

Best I can do at the moment, and it's pretty stained as they've been worn for a month already:

CTB - Grill pan! I hope the other half didn't catch you doing that.
I got a W33, #2000 No.1 on its way. If anyone care, I will post measurement & fits etc.
Oh, comment was passed on the unorthodox pan usage, have no fear:
I actually kept the pan in for a short while after soaking so that the weight helped stretch the inseams - I used some clothes line to secure the pan in the waist when they were hanging, before I wore them damp. I needn't have bothered though as the shrinkage was such that the pan was well and truly gripped
And I'd be interested to know the pre-soak measurements of yours too...

Cheep - what's the stretching been like on those? Looking fucking sweet as, by the way...

Hey CTB i dont know if its been asked before but how many sizes did you go up?
It's all in the main Evisu thread - I had a bit of a nightmare. My actual waist's around 33, so I got 34 with the intention of stretching them. When they came though the actual waist was around 32.5 pre-soak, so I soaked them with a grill pan wedged in the waist to minimise shrinkage then wore them damp and now the waist's 33.
So in effect, I sized down slightly by mistake...
Oh, thats niiiice. Where from japan (proxyyyy...)? I've seen in rakuten shops but there is no such options, at least I couldn't find? Those black gulls are nice and subtle. So would be really dark blue...navy.
I got a mate to get them for me when he was over there on business. If you order from the Japanese Evisu website you can specify what colour you want. He got a Japanese colleague to place my order for me. And yeah, I'm loving the black gulls

Yeah, but...no, but...PG Tips?!?
You could at least've used Earl Grey, and added a slice of lemon for good measure!
Or if you want different smelling jeans, use Lapsang Souchong. You'll have all the strays in the neighbourhood following you down the street trying t work out what it is that smells of bacon...

Evisu is still loved!

Yeah, definitely greyish with quite a delicate feel to them. Kinda silky, if I remember rightly. Like the Ikeda, lovely jeans but not for me...You'd look great in a blazer, kinda Cone Mills Cricket Club, yeah?
PS what's a 40?
