just got my J63A back from repairs. From the looks of it, They just sent me a brand new one instead and kept my old jacket that I wore for a week before sending it back. Also this time I found 3 small patches of Infinium fabric in the front pockets that could possibly be used for DIY repairs if you ever tear your jacket.

interesting to hear, glad yours made it back.  I had the three small patches of fabric in my original order, I took them out before I returned mine just in case they ended up sending a new/different jacket without the patches lol.

Anyone use a 3A-MK1 between the buckles on a 6TS? Identical pricing on the MK1 and MK3 has me wondering if I can comfortably fit the wider mod in there without it being too crammed.

My 6TS before I sold it.  MK3 on left, MK1 on right.  It is a tighter fit but doable.

That belt was originally included in SET 3. I've actually wanted one for aaaaages, and I'm really not happy that I missed this because I was (literally) sleeping. I guess I'll have to cop from a reseller...

On another note, anyone know how well an MP2TS fits into either of the 3A-1 mezzanine pockets?

It fits in the MK1 mezz pocket.  It's a very useful combination.

    Delamintaion Update

Nothing back from ACR proper. The boss tweeted back and said the fix would be a tedious job of cutting out the delamination and applying seem tape. I'm thinking about grabbing some Gear Aid Gore-tex patches, cutting out the delamination and applying them to the inside of the jacket, and then seam taping off the edges of the patches. I know these patches are meant to go on the outside of a shell, but it seems easier to apply 4x6" patches instead of small strips of seem tape.

    Thoughts?

Personally, unless you are extremely confident in your DIY abilities, I would keep trying the Acronym for a repair or go through an authorized repairer as mentioned.  These will be the most expensive and take the longest, but it will probably be worth the extra effort at the end of the day.

Has anyone noticed the pants have different sizing from earlier seasons e.g. pre-2016?

I own an older P17-S and it is a sz L.  In the waist measurement, it is actually the same as a 2018 P23A-DS sz M.  I do not think the difference is because of the materials...

For the P17/P23 styles (extreme large waist), I suppose it wouldn't matter much, but I believe the same "difference" exist in other pants like P10/P24.

Can Anyone verify?  It is especially useful to know when we order "over internet" as sometimes we just order by the same size of an older item, thinking it would fit the same...

(Non-ACR references: Nike ACG line in recent years, the pants have gone a size larger than before.  Similarly Supreme gears)

Well, they're different pants so I'm not surprised they are different measurements.  There may be slight differences in the same model year over year, but something as significant as a change in the sizing should mean a different Generation tag (i.e 1 vs 1.1 etc).

  6. Long shot, but WTT:

    My FW1617 P24A-DS Small

    For your:

3A-2 (L2 preferred)  + negotiated amount of cash on top.

Pants are 8/10 condition.  Exterior has minimal signs of wear (i.e. slight fading over raid pocket buttons).  Inner waistband also has minor signs of wear (pilling, light discoloration, creasing).  Overall they are in excellent shape.

FYI to me a 10/10 would be new, never worn for any extended amount,  9/10 - worn but no signs of wear, 8/10 worn with very minor signs of wear and so on.

Was my first acronym part which I bought and only because it was the only Jacket available on the web shop at this time. the fabric is awesome and it still looks like brand new.
    sometimes you get lucky.

Curious how you sized, would you recommend going one down or did you go with your usual size?

Which brings me to the most recent 47TS-GT: aux zip and TS at the horizontal mid pocket and the interior mezzanine pocket. I know there has to be a fit allowance for the insulator, right? Can anyone report?

I tried the 47TS and 47A-WS (it's actually yours lol) over my J58.  They both have about the same amount of room around the shoulders and arms, the TS might be a little roomier but it could also be the stiffer GT Pro vs. the lighter WS.  The 47TS feels and looks a little wider from the chest down through the waist.

@jeddyhsu will try to get some fit pics soon

Thanks for sharing. From the product shots, I also thought the collar on the 47 looked slightly revised. With the hood out, the TS seems to hold its shape better, which is something that has always bothered me on my 47R.

One question: Does the 47TS have the same high pocket that the 47, 47A, and 47R have or does it only have the one that dips down like the 47A? Surprised the product shots don't show the full pocket array.

I only have a 47A-WS for comparison, but the 47TS has one inner pocket inside the chest pocket and TS where the A has another pocket.  The description says three pockets, but it's really two with TS for the option of three (or more depending on how you configure).

Was able to check out several of the pieces in person today; a few of my brief impressions:

J47TS (White): This did not look as good in person as in the photos. The material seemed like it would dull / discolor / stain easily; just taking it out of the plastic bag it attracted some bits of dust and fibers floating around and they were highly evident against the white background. All-white is admittedly not my style, but even so, I had been attracted to this piece by the photos before I saw it in person. I'm guessing this is one that others might really enjoy, just wasn't for me.

Thanks for the hands on feedback, one of the reasons I enjoy in store drops is reading everyone's thoughts across the collection.  I pretty much agree with you on everything you mentioned, just a slightly different opinion on the 47TS in white.

For me, it looked better in person than in the photos.  I had an impression it was an extremely bright white from the product shots, but I found it to be more muted and matte in person which is my personal preference.  I agree that the material does seem to stain relatively easily (dulling/discoloration tbd), but I feel like offering the same jacket in black makes it a non issue.  Meaning if someone wanted the jacket for the cut and features, but did not want to worry about the white, they could just buy the black version.

I did not expect to buy the J47 when I walked in the store, but after trying it on it was an (almost) easy decision.  The all white construction highlights the articulation and features using light rather than the deconstructivist reverse seam allowances on the J69-GT and J66-GT and GTV.  I can also see the stitching and other "raised" areas where there is overlapping fabric darkening with age and use (and dirt lol), which should further highlight the patterning.  Lastly, the gray seam tape should start to show through and highlight the articulation from the interior.  This is not pronounced on black GT Pro shells (and you won't see it on WS because the seams are not taped), but I had started to see the effect on my GT-J22 before I sold it for my J69-GT and I loved it.  Of course, this is all speculation at this point, but I intend to find out. I have faith that the folks at Acronym did not choose to make a shell out of a "fragile" fabric like this (or PB/FO and GT-V) without a reason.

    Beautiful.

It's aged so well. I'm surprised to see that the details (hardware, olive webbing, stitching, edges and rim) seem 100% intact. But what really gets me is the discolouration of the Limonta, which looks to have faded to a colour not too far from the night CH.

I have to add that it's quite sobering to see the condition versus my foil 3TS, which has torn on several places...

Do you have the silver or black foil?  And is it the foiling peeling and the liner/backing staying intact? Or a tear through all layers of the fabric?

Question... I use my J46U-WS on a regular basis, and am in love with the finish and feel of the 2L Gore Windstopper.

I've been looking for a shorter alternative for the warmer months, and have tried the J47A-WS and J73-WS, but I'm not a fan of the Active Shell, which (personally) feels very flimsy in comparison. A shame, as the fabric looks so, so good on the product shoots.

I also tried the J28-K, but again, not a fan of the fabric.

Any advice, aside from the J58-WS, which I've been looking for for ages? Should I be looking at the 2.5L or Paclite, or is there a piece that I'm unaware of?

58 is insulated so definitely do not recommend for warmer months.  I've never handled a 46u-ws in hand, and did not realize the 46u used a different material than the 47a.  Older J25-WS and 29B-WS/LA3-WS used a more matte WS, that might be more like the 46u-WS.  I've worn my J22 and J69 in warmer weather too, if you would consider GT Pro.  GT PB is also supposed to be good for a wide ranger of temps, but I haven't handled it in person either.

DS-LA6 variants, and DS in general, will be more substantial than windstopper, but I've found it decent in warmer weather because of the breathability.  The J40 in CH or Stotz will be a little heavier as well but are great short jackets. I think the Paclite used in the 2012-2015 seasons would be too heavy for warm weather, can't comment on the newer one used in the j1agtpl.  I'm a big fan of the J43-K material as well, but it might be too similiar to the 28-k for you.  Epic cotton is also on the lighter side, but it is harder to find these in decent condition.

  17. I feel the opposite.  Especially considering springs are usually a little lighter with re-issues in different materials or small updates.  This has been new model after new model plus the re-issues/re-stocks of some of the more popular items (47aws, j1agtpl and gtv, p10s and ds).

  19. 3A-MZ2TS, OG XPAC.  8/10 condition.  Small nick in outer fabric top right corner, less than .5cm, and does not go all the way through.  The stitching on the right zipper pull also came undone, but this is pretty minor.  Comes with spec sheet and bag, molle clips, and tag.
