  1. I need some advice on MF Road Champ sizing. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a pair. I wear an 11D in nearly everything Alden Indy, White's SD Wolverine 1000. I'm thinking an 11 in the RC would work but I've heard they run really big so maybe a 10.5. What do you guys think?

Like you I wear the same size in many other shoes and boots...8D. I went with a 7 1/2 in MF Road Champ's and they fit like any other 8D I have.

  2. If you're in the LA/OC area, Bud has great art with great prices:

    Specials this month

$100-150 most sailor Jerry traditional tattoos

$100 any design on the top of the hand

    $160 movie monster portraits

    Text for an apt 323-253-2131

    Check out his art here

  3. ADH92 is KILLING it! Yeah, I'm looking to get another pair just to hoard in preparation for when they're discontinued.

Smittybat, Wescos can be had any time. RCs won't be around for ever and are worth the $1,500 Japanese price tag.

  4. ADH92, congratulations! Those are a thing of beauty. You're gonna love how they age. Unfortunately...gotta spread.

Everytime someone posts their new pair, I get a little jealous and am so compelled to buy another pair.

  5. Yeah, the sizing on the Stronghold coat is weird. Japan sites say they are a size larger than marked, but I've seen other measurements that state otherwise. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks for the info Tigerpawn. I've been debating on whether or not to p/u duck Pointer. What's your take on the large collar?

  6. Tres Noir is a brand built by two brothers who wanted to create something real. They wanted to take their love for classic Americana styling and use today's best technology to create a collection of eyewear that is unmatched in the marketplace.

Tres Noir optics are hand-produced from acetate sheets in limited quanitities. All lenses provide 100% UVA/UVB protectino and most styles are available to fit a prescription.

All frames are handmade individually from acetate - no two are alike in color or wear.

Both sunglasseas are RX-able and have CR-39 Lenses

  7. maybe that's what I'm having trouble with. I've not held them in person. Just by going by photos, they look "off" to me.

Not trying to hate on them, I guess I need to see these in person.

You're in LA, too, HH...just give them look. Not all photos give these boots justice, especially with the few they had back whey they were first unveiled. As more and more photos started to pop up, I was sold...even more when I visited the shop to try them on. There was no way I was leaving there without it.

You guys need to stop talking about these so there's still a pair when I get the $$$ to buy myself a pair.

    LOL! True, true.

  8. I scrolled back a lot of pages and read somewhere at sometime you were NOT into these boots at all. I love that you are so into them and such a big contributer of info on them. It just goes to show how good they are in person!

Totally...they are night and day between photos and in person. Once you handle them, the quality and style are clearly top notch. No joke, but I am seriously tempted to purchase another pair just to store away for future use.

  9. For those on the fence - I've been advocating the importance of purchasing these boots for some time now as there's no telling when production will discontinued. It sounds like that time has come. You can buy two or three average pairs of Engineer Boots for the price of one of these, but which would you be most proud to own?
