Ha! Thanks Matt! Hi folks, my name is John...nice to meet you all.
Speaking with John last night, we can pretty much scratch the idea of the HH version of his Engineer Boots since it's proven to be challening enough to keep up with Horween version. I think the Horween version is killer and can't wait to get my hands on a pair. I don't like the idea of possibly missing out on my Horween size by holding off for a pair of HH's that may never materialize. "Early adopting" is where it's at.

Not sure of the name, but there's a pair of Can't Bust 'Em jeans I'm going back for.

I thought they were freewheelers, but there are no tags indicating it. I think it's a slightly older model as the shop I got it from has old stock Japanese repros from Cushman to Sunsurf.wow beauftiful, and thos boss of the roads are from freewheelers? what year?

I picked up this great piece at a local shop today. I've been bummed that I missed out on the brown Cushman pants Lofgren put out back when the S&P's came out and this totally makes up for it.
It has a one piece fly and your typical Japanese one-wash, but I'm happy with it.

Haven't worn much out of uniform lately, but thought these needed a little Pecard's Shoe Oil. Darkened them up just nice.

Recently oiled these up with Pecard's Shoe Oil

I picked up couple pairs last year when they first came out and carefully removed the horizontal back pocket stitching with a seam ripper. Looks a lot better. Nice jeans at a great price. Got some good fading going on, too.

btw, John's making a few in Horsehide. The first pair has my name on it.
Rec'd an update from John Lofgren about his new Engineer Boots.

My newest wallet is an "engineer boot" that I finished the other night made with 4/5 oz cowhide. It's much too big to wear in uniform, but looks great with jeans.

^ I have a list of boot repair shops on my blog. I think there's one in Fullerton on there. There's a review here:

Taking attackwithstones' lead, I decided to modify my Rider's. I initially hemmed them, but the pocket's looked odd. I tend to draw out my projects, so I hope to finish this one up over the weekend along with the million other projects I've started recently.
