Finally found time to complete my project. These were already looking better with age, but I can't wait to see how they'll age with my custom dye job.

Recently picked up a pair of Chippewa 27911's that I love the leather and fit of, but hate the sole. I know coleslaw has a pair he sent to Japan to get resoled, and I want to do something similar, but without having to send them all the way to Japan. I don't think any of the cobblers in my area would be able to do a double leather midsole job, and I know sending them to Japan is going to yield the best results, but can anyone recommend a shop stateside I could mail my boots to? Marine, do you have any suggestions?

First Mister Freedom entices us with his new batch of "Road Champs" and now John Lofgren comes out with a brown Horween CXL version of his Engineer Boots. Damnit! How many pairs of Engineer boots do I need to buy??

^Concur with Ardis. The MF staff Seriously has the best customer service I've come across. Try sending another email just in case.

Here's a cool pair of workwear pants I found at the local Mac House. Not bad at under $70. They also had them in hickory stripe.

I finally settled on my standard "Vintage Engineer Boots" wallet. I may adjust the "inerds" a little, but for the most part this is it.
This one is made with all Japanese tannery leather and Japanese (Okuyama) buckle.

Any chance you could let me know where you sourced them from? - I want take up my Riders!
(I've pm'd you).
I was only able to obtain four Buzz rivets from a local shop here on Okinawa. Due to the language barrior I think this is all I'm able to get my hands on.

Wow - thanks for that photo gardenerfan! I've hemmed both my Boss of the Roads and Can't Bust Em's to my perfect length and love 'em. Not bad for under two hundred dollars for both brand new.
Tigerprawn, that has got to be the bet Pug site...EVER!

The pair on the right have been treated at least two times with Pecards Antique Dressing and both are true to photo color.
